Hello guys
I have this problem with the H264.
My add-on window in the Mozilla Firefox always shows the H264 plugin will be installed shortly message. When i try to update it then two files get downloaded. One is gmp-**.dll and another is a .info file. I don't know what to do with them.
Thanks

Are you sure .mov files worked on the iPhone without a third part player? I'm just not sure...
Try these instructions from Apple:
Convert a video to work with iPhone:  Select the video in your iTunes library and choose Advanced > “Create iPod or iPhone Version.” Then add the converted video to iPhone.

    HI krishbiliyar,
Where did you download the file from? Does the file have PDF filename extension? And where are you getting the message that it's not a PDF file? In Reader or Acrobat?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

You can authorise your account on the Mac's iTunes via the Store > Authorise This Computer drop-down menu at the top of iTunes e.g. :
If you still have your PC then you could also copy the content over from that : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527

  • NPR downloading .swf file to my computer?

I'm running Safari 5.0.3 on my new-model MacBook Air without flash. When I visited NPR this evening, it kept download a .swf file that appeared to be for Keybank. The files did not register any viruses, and on another computer with flash, NPR was running a flash-content ad from Keybank. In the weeks I've run the MacBook (happily) without flash installed, though, I've never seen Safari download a physical .swf file. Typically, sites either seem to default to an image-based ad, or display a "You need flash" banner. What gives--was this just a formatting oddity for NPR tonight that forced a download of the flash content, or something nefarious?
    Thanks!

    Hi
best guess is a pop-up that would have contained only an swf - Safari can't display those w/o Flash, so downloads it, just like a dmg or zip.

I'm able to download and save the file on client direclty by putting the download in browser, but through application, it gives and error

[* I tried downloading the jacob.dll using the download link directly putting it in browser, and it does find it and downloaded, I copied it manually to jre/bin folder so it does not show it failed to download]
So how can they be downloaded automatically on all client? Any clue please what I should look for?
    Best Regards,

Well, first is that IE9 is not supported to be using with Forms 10.1.2.x. Second, if you want to use Win7 as the client, you must be using 10.1.2.3 plus the Forms Bundle Patch (ID 9593176). Part of the problem is that Win7 will not allow permission to the JRE to download and store the files to the JRE\bin directory which it does by default. To overcome this, the Forms product developers added a new feature to the Bundle Patch and newer versions which allows you to configure an alternative download location. For example, into the user home directory. Details can be found in the following MyOracleSupport document:

  • I have a 2007 iMac with version 10.6.8.  When downloading "some" files to my computer, these files become "zip files."  When I open the zip file, it produces a document in some coding language. How can I open the file to produce a legible document?

I have a 2007 iMac with version 10.6.8 and 4GB of expanded memory.  When downloading "some" emailed documents, the downloaded file becomes a "zip file," which when opened looks like a coded message.  How can I open the "zip file" so that it produces a legible document?  Please, help!!  thank you!!!

A "zip file" is a compressed file. "Zipping" in principle does not and cannot change the contents. So that if the contents before zipping are garbage, or unreadable on a Mac, when you expand the file you will get garbage or an unreadable file.
The first thing to verify therefore is whether the file, before it was zipped, was in a "Mac friendly" format. Can you do that?
You do not need an App to zip or unzip. These functions are built in on our Macs.
And yes, zipping and unzipping using the built in functionality, work fine in OS 10.6.8. And 10.7 and 10.8 and 10.9.

  • I have the kindle app on my iPad.  I downloaded a kindle version of a songbook. I would like to print out a few pages of the music.  I cannot download the file to my computer and cannot print from the iPad as the page format does not allow it.

How can I print out a few pages of a kindle ebook (music) from my iPad.
How can I download this book to my iMac from the iPad.  It is NOT in my e books library, but I can only access it from my kindle app.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

One work around is, if the Kindle app allows, make a screen cap of the page and print that.
Hold down the sleep and home keys and relase them together....kinda like you'd press the shutter of a camera, a joint quick down and up
You'll see a white flash and hear a shutter sound. Then look in your photos app and you'll see the images. You can print them just like you'd print a photo.

  • Why won't Safari 2 display sites with .dll files?

My new powerbook, running OSX 10.4.3, and Safari 2.02, won't access my brokerage account. When I try to log in, I get a blank browser window, and it downloads a file with a .dll extension to my desktop. The problem is that it downloads the file instead of reeading it.
My 2 year old ibook (with OSX 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.1) was able to see this site just fine, and no downloaded .dll files.

DLL files are for Windows and do not run on a Mac. Are there any instructions, readme files, or information about what the file is for?
What happens if you use Camino or Firefox? If the brokerage firm still wants to have you to install a .dll file, then I would say that the firm does not support OS X.

  • Anyway to download a file right from acrobat without it opening in the browser.

I have created a simple interactive order form for our dealers. I intend to deliver the form via email, specifically mailchimp. However, in mailchimp when linking to a file it opens in the browser. This is an issue because the submit button doesn't function properly in some browsers, i.e Firefox and Chrome. Is it possible to download a file to your computer right from Acrobat, or is there a simple way that I could program the file to download to the computer instead of the browser within mailchimp. I am not a programmer, so I didn't know if this was an option or not.
    Thanks

Can't you just include the PDF as an attachment to the email?

When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so are particularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.

  • HT1923 I have iTunes installed on a PC running Windows 7. When I downloaded an iTunes update, iTunes wouldn't open, and diplayed a "system error" message: MSVC80.dll file missing. Does this indicate a Windows 7 problem? Is it fixable?

Unable to open iTunes on PC running Windows 7. Error message: MSVC80.dll missing. ITunes had been working normally until I downloaded an update, and the error message appeared.

    Hello bhillblom,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update.  I recommend following the steps below:
    Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.
