H61M-P25(B3) Intel display drivers always crashing.
I am running the system as described in my sig. This system is triple booting either Linux, Win 7 Pro or Win 8 Pro. The problem I am describing is only relating to Win 8 Pro.
When booted in Win 8 Pro, this system is very reliable when staying in the Metro UI. As soon as I switch to the traditional Desktop, very odd things occur.
1) Random speckled pixels. The symptoms usually start with this.
2) Desktop apps take a longer and longer time to respond. At this stage I know it is time to reboot.
3) igfx drivers will crash, either causing a BSOD, a restart of the igfx drivers or a total system lock.
I have run the MSI update tool, and all drivers are up-to-date.
Can anyone advise on how I can prevent the Intel display drivers crashing in Windows 8?
Thanks
MM
I don't trust Live Update, download the drivers and install manually;

Display drivers intermittent crash
Hey new guy here so sorry if this has been solved before, had a look but didn't see anything.
So i got myself a lovely MSI GTX 670 PE about 4 months ago and ever since i've had it i have had issues with my display driver stopping responding. At first i thought it might of been my MOBO as i was having issue with slot 2 ram not working so i RMA'd that and got a new board. At the same time it was hinted that the MOBO issue could of been my PSU so erring on the side of caution i got a new PSU as well.
Mobo was faulty but i used the new PSU anyways just to make sure.
The drivers will stop responding maybe once a day sometimes two times ( which isn't a major issue but when you're mid game and it crashes your game it starts to get annoying ) Looking around online i started seeing all that stuff about the card being over volted or drawing too much juice when it kicks the turbo on. Not believing everything i read online i decided to send it back to Novatech ( where i bought it ) for testing. My question is, is there an actual issue with my card? Will i have to swap to another model? Was my RMA pointless and i should of contacted MSI directly?
Any and all help would be gratefully appreciated as i'm wanting to buy another card to beast up some SLI soon, just don't want to pick the same model if there are issues.
Thanks for your time

well if doesn't really matter which cable set you run the lines off of as its only got one large 54A - +12V rail so you don't need to spread it out that much all both 2 molex- 1 PCI adapthers on one 4 molex line would be fine and wouldn't cause any problems at all!
Good to know
All i can do now is wait for my other GTX 670 to some back from RMA and get ready for some sweet SLI action -
Flash Crashing My Display Drivers?
I started this thread in the Mozilla foums concerning my display drivers crashing. Originally I thought it was a problem with FireFox but further investigation revealed that it is probably Flash that is crashing my display drivers. What led me to believe it was Flash: I started using Internet Explorer instead of FF because of the problems I was having. When I opened FF my display drivers start crashing. The display freezes or goes black for about ten seconds, comes back on, and windows vista displays a message that states my display "drivers quit working momentarily but have recovered". When I started using Internet Explorer everthing worked fine until I clicked on a youtube link in Facebook. Clicking on the youtube link produced a message that stated I needed Adobe Flash to play the vid. I installed the Flash recommended by FB and immediately my monitor drivers started crashing. I did a system restore in Windows Vista to before Flash was installed in IE and I can now use Internet Explorer again...thank goodness because this is the only browser I can use as both Google Chrome and FF both crash my display drivers but, I am not able to view Flash videos.
The problem started several months ago and is a problem in at least three web browsers I've tried, FireFox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer. I installed most recent drivers for my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 245BW). I've tried two different video cards and both do it (ATI 4800 and nVidia 460GTX). Turned off "Use graphic acceleration) in browsers. Nothing seems to be helping...any suggestions?
Thanks!
MikeThe display driver error started happening when browsers weren't even open so I started looking for other solutions and I think I found a fix here: "...in the nVidia Contol Panel under "Manage 3D Settings" I set "Multi-display/mixed/GPU accceleration" to "Single display performance" mode...".
After applying the fix and rebooting I went to Facebook and tried to crash the drivers by opening as many youtube vids as it took to crash the drivers...after I had 15 vids running at the same time I stopped. The drivers did not crash and all vids were playing smoothly.
Thanks for your help!

Vista SP1 clash with Intel display driver (lgdkmd32.sys)
The ThinkPad X61s and various versions of the T series come with a version of the Intel display driver (lgdkmd32.sys) that is incompatible with Vista SP1. If we have that driver, Windows Update won't give us SP1. And no newer driver for the X61s seems available. Any news on when we can expect a fix for this problem?
Message Edited by O_Govinda on 03-26-2008 03:13 AMYes, same problem with my T61 because the version of display driver (lgdkmd32.sys) is 7.14.10.1329, which falls in the following range of Intel Display drivers that Microsoft would not offer Vista SP1 to systems with such device drivers.
Display drivers
Intel Display
• For x86-based computers: Igdkmd32.sys – versions between and including driver 7.14.10.1322 and 7.14.10.1403
• For x64-based computers: Igdkmd64.sys – versions between and including driver 7.14.10.1322 and 7.14.10.1403
Please refer to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=948343 cause 5 and method for cause 5 for more details.
Hope this problem will be solved soon. -
Intel display driver install failure
Anyone else get the "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software" error when trying to install the intel display drivers? It's been happening to me for at least the current rev and one rev back of the drivers. I've tried many things, including booting to just integrated and just discrete graphics, etc. Nothing works.
i know some other folks have had issues in the past, but a lenovo moderator asked me to start a new thread on the topic to see if other folks were currently having the same issue.
thanks,

all updatedAt least some 2764 models have switchable graphics. It might be that you should install the driver for switchable graphics and not the driver for notebooks that merely have the Intel GMA 4500MHD. The Windows 7 x64 driver for switchable graphics is available at:

Intel Accelerator drivers keep crashing
So I've been working on getting this laptop back up and running for a day or two now, and it's just about done.
However, the display drivers seem to be out of whack.
The driver(s) constantly crash (causing the screen to go black) and displays a warning saying something along the lines of "Intel accelerator drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped working and recovered".
I've looked online and most people that had the similar issue seem to have solved it just by getting the proper drivers for their computer. Except, I can't seem to find them for this one. The intel driver update utility doesn't support the Mobile series 4 chipset, so I can't use that, and I've tried 6-7 different drivers that were all apparently for this computer, but none wanted to work. It would either say the drivers aren't compativle, or that the driver is not validated for the computer.
The computer is running on windows 7 home preimum, x64.
Below is a copy of the dxdiag, I saw on some other forums that it was helpful, so I figured it would be here.

Since Skype automatically downloaded its latest update about a month ago, something weird happens every time I try and make a call, whether video or just voice. On the first start of the computer, the program just crashes my PC, no BSOD or error messages, and I get a "No input" sign on my monitor, the PC quiets down and nothing happens. Once I restart the PC (which can only be done by laying the PC on its side and punching it as it's posting), the second attempt to make a Skype call works, but only after crashing my display drivers for about 30 seconds. I get the error message in the task bar this time. It happens like this every single time.
My rig: CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 | Mobo: Asus P5N-D LGA775 | RAM: 4.00GB DDR2-667 | Storage: WD Green 640GB | GPU: Sapphire R7 260X 1GB | PSU: Corsair CX430 | Monitor: Iiyama ProLite B2409HDS
Recommended solutions that I've tried:
Redownloading drivers
Using older drivers
Using drivers from different websites (Sapphire, AMD)
Redownloading Skype
Reseating graphics card
Can anyone help with this? It's REALLY annoying. Thanks in advance.

HI
I recently bought windows multipoint server 2012 from Microsoft which comes with windows 8. I am having trouble with installing display drivers from my computer's manufacturer. The display device is Intel (R) G45 express chipset. Intel only supports
windows 7 and when I try to troubleshoot it's compatibility, the driver still does not work. I get an error notifying me that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements. My computer system is 64 bit and the drivers I download are meant
for 64 bit systems, I am currently using Microsoft basic display adapter and when I try to automatically update the driver it says that the drivers are up to date
why do I get the error that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements?
and what can I do to get the drivers working on windows 8?
PLEASE HELP
THANK YOU IN ADVANCEI had the most up-to-date Intel driver installed, as far as Windows can determine (right click Intel display adapter -> update drivers, search automatically). I was also using that exact download you linked me to.
I also tried switching my graphics card to dedicated discrete mode in BIOS, which made my device ID change, but it too was not supported. I have since managed to reinstall the old drivers from 2010.
Is there some place I can go to download a more recent version of the Intel drivers than Windows can find automatically? -
I updated to Premiere Pro CC 2014, all the other Adobe CC 2014 software works great, but Premiere doesnt even load. The starting page (frame) comes up - my whole computer slows down and after a minute or two it crashes completely and comes up with the message : "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again."
I'm running a macbook Pro 15" (2014) with 16GB RAM and 760GB SSD.
PLEASE HELP!Hi Delarey,
Please go to the following location and rename the folder to old_folder name
User/user library/Application Support and rename Adobe folder
User/user library/Preferences and rename the Adobe folder
Then go to Documents folder and Go to Adobe/Premiere pro/8.0 and rename 8.0 folder

Hello, recently i built a new gaming rig and had installed skype within a few days. Problem is, whenever i start a call or receive one from another person, my display drivers crash. At times it recovers, but sometimes it doesnt at all and requires me to restart my PC.
Specs:
MSI Z97 PCMate LGA1150 : Motherboard
Sapphire Radeon r7 260x : GPU
Pentium g3258 : CPU
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit : OS
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Latest Firefox 4 beta 6.
nVidia GT240 1GB DDR3 with driver version 258.96.
Windows 7 Ultimate.
If I have plenty of tabs opened, in Firefox 4 beta 6 with hardware acceleration enabled, using the Windows 7 Taskbar preview feature (that will show all the tabs Firefox has loaded) will cause the Nvidia display driver to crash. When this happen, the GUI part of Firefox will be unusable and has to be killed via Task Manager.
This doesn't happen if hardware acceleration is disabled. It is beta software and the older 4.0 b6 version may not work with all display drivers.

Intel video drivers crash after update
Hi all,
I have S540 ultrabook and I use it with onelinkdock with external screen and laptop screen in extend mode.
After 8.1 upgrade on boot I receive the error message "Catalyst Control Center stop working", but everythings works fine.
After Lenovo upgrade (including video driver) I don't receive the message anymore, but using the docking with extend screen, I face frequent black screen on external monitor. After few minutes also the main one became black and I got the message "intel video drivers crash and reset".
Someone face the same issue?
Thanks for your helpI'm having the same issue as well, I'm currently at work so as of right now I can't try to restore mine, but the strange thing with mine is that I updated mine the day the iOS 4.0 came out and had no problems until last night. Now the music and video sections keep crashing after just a few seconds. Also all my Podcast are gone, the only things missing and I even re-downloaded them last night and they're still gone.

Display drivers crashing when a call starts. help!
Hello. I've this problem were as soon as a call starts my display drivers stops working, making it so that I can't screen share for example. it doesn't matter if I'm the one making or receiving the call. Anyone know a solution for this? Can post my computer specs if that could be the problem. Otherwise I'm running the latest update of skype, although this has happened before this latest skype update. Thanks in advance.
