I am really mad about the update, who is worthless!

  • I would like to try FF5 without losing my current version. Can I update my current version of FF and install the update in a different directory so I can have two versions at the same time?

    current version is 3.6.17

I guess nobody knows if the crash that occured was legitimate or not?  Apple phone support could do nothing for me, so I guess I am left to drive 45 minutes to the nearest store.

  • HT5544 Can I downgrade iBooks from version 3.0 to the previous one?

I made the mistake of accepting the update for iBooks and due to several major problems with it, I feel the need to downgrade to the previous version. Can this be done, and if so, then how?

Do you have the previous version of it somewhere e.g. on your computer or on a backup ?  Only the current version of each app is in the store so you can't download a previous version from the store. If you do then copy your books and pdfs from the iPod to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and then delete the app from your iPod (and if you have the new version on your computer's iTunes then from there as well). Then add the old version to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library and you should then be able to sync that version to your iPod and resync your books/PDFs to it (the new version of the app will then appear in the list of available updates). Note that this isn't something that I have personally tried, but I think that it should work.

  • Can't update 8310 "Current Version"

Please help, my sanity is on the line...
    I've gone through the process...
Downloaded the new application upgrade software, it gave me a pop-up towards the end with the usual "your system must be re-started to complete install..."  I clicked "restart later" and let it finish.  When it was done, nothing was different on my 8310 Curve (AT&T service if that means anything).
So, I powered down the blackberry, re-booted the laptop, powered up the blackberry, restarted the laptop.
Blackberry was just as it was before.
Checked the "About" and it indicated the 4.2 operating system was still in place.
So I repeated the process, thinking that perhaps my updated application downloader software hadn't been fully, uh, updated.
It went through the whole process again, then told me the device was updated.
Checked, the 8310 was just as it was before, no changes in functionality.
Checked "about" and it still showed the 4.2xxx OS.
So I powered it down, thinking maybe it needs a power cycle to finish updating.
Powered it up again, and still no changes, and still 4.2xxxxx
Re-connected, opened  desktop manager, clicked on APPLICATION LOADER, clicked on the "updates" on the bottom right corner, which brings you back to the blackberry webpage, went through the whole thing again, and it tells memy device has the current software (and asks me if I'd like to register my email for software update emails).
Looking on the forum here, it appears that others with 8310's are successfully updating to the new OS, so what do I need to do to get the new toys?
    Thanks in advance.

Simple answer is that ATT does NOT have the OS 4.5 upgrade. You do all that and it is only updating you to the latest version of 4.2 OS.
You can load the 4.5 upgrade manually if you like.
Here is the latest 4.5 release available if you want.

  • I can not update my current version of itunes onto my windows computer

I have an older version of itunes because everytime I go to update it, I get an error. Now I have installed the iOS 6 on my iphones and ipods and can no longer connect to the itunes version on my computer.  Also, when I open the itunes, I get a message that states that the itunes on my computer does not include the ability to burn CDs even though I have the proper equipment and computer for this option.  What can I do to fix this?  Honestly....I know NOTHING about computers.  I have tried asking for assistance from Apple but am being told that my products are not under warranty so they don't help anymore.  How am I supposed to continue using the products I purchased if I can't get this fixed?  HELP!!

have the same issues ; the error reported is "the feature you are trying to use is on an other network resource" and then the install fails when it fails to find the files - Any help would be appreciated.... Dave

  • I can't update to latest version of itunes, despite the website telling me I've successfully d/l'ed it...what am I doing wrong?!

Trying to sync a new iphone after myine was stolen.  I haven't bothered updating itunes for a while so I've got v.9.2.1.5, however when I plug in the iphone itunes tells me it needs at least version 10.1 for it to work.
I've tried d/l-ing it from the itunes site, it says it's worked, I restart the computer and still I have v.9...am I missing something here?!
    Help!

Before downloading delete all copies of iTunes and Quicktime that you find on your computer then try again.

  • Can I update iPhoto from version 8.1.2 to 9 or higher versionfor free?

Can I update iPhoto from version 8.1.2 to 9 or higher versionfor free?

Is your profile signature "Mac OS X (10.6.8)" still current? With that MacOS X version you can upgrade to iPhoto 9.2.x. Only, the iPhoto version 9.5.1 currently sold at the AppStore requires MacOS X 10.9.x. If you you are not running Mavericks, you could try to buy a boxed retail version of iLife '11. That will have a compatible early iPhoto 9.x version.

  • HT1338 currently im running mac os x 10.5.8 is there anyway i can upgraded to to current version

currently im running mac os x 10.5.8 is there anyway i can upgraded to to current version.
i cant update my adobe because they dont support mac os x 10.5.8 version.

To upgrade from OS X 10.5.8, you must first buy Snow Leopard by calling the phone number in the Apple Online Store: 800-MY-APPLE (in the US)
Make sure your system meets Snow Leopard's requirements:
Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" System Requirements
To install Snow Leopard for the first time, you must have a Mac with:
    An Intel processor
An internal or external DVD drive, or DVD or CD Sharing
At least 1 GB of memory (RAM) (additional RAM is recommended)
A built-in display or a display connected to an Apple-supplied video card supported by your computer
At least 5 GB of disk space available, or 7 GB of disk space if you install the developer tools
After you install Snow Leopard you can decide if you want to upgrade OS X to the latest version, Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion is available in the Mac App Store, which is available to you after upgrading to Snow Leopard.
Make sure your system meets the requirements for Mountain Lion:
Mac OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion" System Requirements
To install Mountain Lion, you need one of these Macs:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
                   Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (RAM)
8 GB or more of available hard disk space
If your system does not support Mountain Lion's requirements, you may be able to upgrade to Lion. To do that you must call Apple again to order a download code. Redeem the download code in the App Store to download Lion. Lion costs 99¢ more than Snow Leopard.
Make sure your system meets the requirements for Lion:
Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion" System Requirements
Mac with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon CPU
Core Duo CPUs are not sufficient for Lion
    2GB of memory (RAM)
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
To determine which Mac you have, what kind of CPU it uses, and how much memory is installed:  > About this Mac
The specified 2 GB minimum is barely adequate for either Lion or ML. They will run in 2 GB but you may not like its performance. 4 GB is a more realistic minimum.

  • Where can I download the iTunes64.msi driver. I can't update my current Itunes without this driver.

Where can I download the iTunes64.msi driver. I can't update my current Itunes without this driver. I can't find it on Microsoft's website or Apple's website.

You can't download the individual .msi files, but they can be extracted from the setup.exe files if required.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you are running 64-bit Windows and the above steps haven't helped try installing the version of iTunes that can be downloaded from this support document. iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
