You can do this in Premiere by going to export and setting the multiplexer settings to multiplexing to mpeg4 and Stream Compatability to standard.  Then go to video and set Profile to Advanced Simple and Level to Level 5.
That will change your resolution to 720 x 576.  Then change your target bitrate (Kbps) to 8000.  You will now have a better quality video.
You can export to 1920x1080 if you use mpeg2.  Mpeg4 and Mpeg2 are both lossy compression.  If you want to export at 1920x1080 use Mpeg2.

    Hallo,
Es Ist zwar Sonnabend, aber mal sehen wer da IST.
Mein System Windows 7 64 Bit. (Normales Bios alte Erzeugung.)
Jetzt UEFI Bios.

  • How do you segment a long project and preserve HD 1920 x 1080 pixels at each step?

I'm shooting video with a Canon HF S10 in the maximum quality (1920 x 1080 i) mode.  The resulting files in AVCHD format are coming into the computer and into Elements 7 okay.  The desired  Project output is BluRay.  I want to maintain the full image quality (1920 x 1080) end-to-end (lesser quality is okay on the timeline if that all that is available).  My current project is about 65 minutes long--future ones could be two hours or more.  All the 100+ trimmed clips and transitions are on the timeline.  Saving the Project file seems to work, but re-opening the Project takes a long time and doesn't always work.  Rendering this long timeline ulitimately freezes/crashes.  When the Project was much shorter, the save and reload cyle worked okay.
Per Steve's book a work around is to break the project into pieces around 10 minutes long, render and save them to AVI files, reload and merge the AVI files into a new "Master" Project and then render the whole thing to BluRay(?).  Better yet he suggests outputing to a folder and burning the disc with other software.  But Elements does not output BluRay to a folder.  And when I experimented outputing with AVI segment files, quality dropped a lot suggesting that the 1920 x 1080 is not preserved in AVI format.
    It appears that:
AVI files are just the DV 720 x 480 image quality of mini DV tape
Output to a folder in BluRay image format is not available
Elements 7 does not support breaking an HD 1920 x 1080 timeline into segments for long projects
Any ideas will be appreciated.  Canon does supply a crude editing software package that is claimed to do simple cuts and transitions and produce a file that can be loaded back into the HF S10 memory for playback (distributing product on SD cards instead of BluRay is a novel possibility).  I'd prefer to use Elements or a similar software product that takes me start to finish without losing any pixels.
Finally, I have a backlog of several long projects using HDV tape as a source.  I want those to go to BluRay too, but not giving up any of the 1440 x 1080 pixels.  I think the same limitations above apply to HDV.
After waiting several years to get this end-to-end capability, it is disappointing to find it still seems to be out of reach (maybe is just hidden).
Sometime soon, I hope Steve will write an edition that deals exclusively with the end-to-end HD (1920 x 1080) work flow including best scaling of still images, storage of image files and output to BluRay and creating slide shows using all the HD pixels (no SD compromises) again on BluRay.  That of course means Adobe may need to add some tweaks in Elements 8.

PS, my PC is using an Intel Core 2 Quad processor, Vista OS, 4 GB of memory, has access to several TB of HD, and a couple of GB of Ready Boost memory (does this really help?) and a 1920 x 1200 monitor.

You could export each section as 1920x1080 MPEG2 using the Share>Personal Computer>MPEG option then selecting the MPEG2 1920x1080i export Preset.
You can also export as AVI... however this will be uncompressed AVI with a file size of over 1GB per minute... File>Export>Movie then in Settings under General>File Type select Microsoft AVI (not Microsoft DV AVI). Then in Video>Compressor select None, in Frame Size set 1920x1080 and in PixelAspect Ratio select Square Pixels.

  • Is the LG 22EN33S-B 22-inch LED 1920 x 1080 VGA Monitor compatible with mac via a vga to thunderbolt connection

Is the LG 22EN33S-B 22-inch LED 1920 x 1080 VGA Monitor compatible with mac via a vga to thunderbolt adapter?

The 1080p and 1080i options only appear on the HDMI display settings, the display settings for the thunderbolt to vga adaptor has 1920 x 1080.
Via the HDMI output of the Mini via an HDMI cable to a HDMI input on the Samsung the display fills the screen but the text looks vile.
The options for picture adjustement on the samsung include fill screen as you suggest
Using the thunderbolt to VGA adaptor the text looks as it should, crisp and clear but the display is shitfted to the right.
The options for picture adjustment on the Samsung does not have the 'fill screen' option available when the VGA input is selected. However a new option called 'pc screen adjustment' appears and you can nudge the display over to the left a bit but not enough to cover the whole screen.
I remind you the pc worked perfectly 1920 x 1080 on the same VGA cable and input to the samsung.

  • Full HD (1920 x 1080) through Apple digital AV Adapter not working on iPad 2 running  iOS 5.1.1

    Hi,
can anybody shed some light on this?
I remember being able to play back FULL HD (1920 x 1080) clips with the AVPlayer-HD app with iOS 4.x
Now, running iOS 5.1.1 it does only play back up to 1280 x 720.
Also, the quality of the mirrored iPad2 screen looks as if it was a composite connection only, very unsharp.
This was diferent - much better before. I used to do presentations like this.
If this is an iOS5.1.1 problem, does someone know a way to downgrade to older versions without jailbreaking it?
    All the best,
    theunknown_uwe

It works just fine with me (5.1.1, iPad 3 (I don't think the iPad 2 is any different), latest AVPlayerHD, MP$ hardware playback). What do you see in the center of the screen when you tap the TV icon on the center right, right under the speed lever? 1920 * 1080 just like in the screenshot below? (When the res is left at VGA, the print would be 640 * 480):

  • FCP7  -1920 x 1080 photo  mismatch timeline issue

I have DSLR still photos shot at 1920x1080 (16:9)  ratio
Photoshop confirms the dimensions-- and also square pixels. (72dpi)
    If I create a timeline in FCP7   choosing  a 1920 x 1080   preset (HDTV)...
---when I place the photo on the timeline--   it does not fit the frame.  Black bars on each side.
So , my quesiton is   --Why?   the dimensions are the same----  so I think it should fill the frame perfectly.
To further confound the situation -- If I create a colored test jpeg in photoshop 1920 x 1080 (square pixels  72 dpi)  and drop that in the FCP7 timeline-- it fills the  frame perfectly.
So my 1920x1080 DSLR stills and my 1920x1080 test photoshop jpeg  (identical specs as far as I can see...)  behave differently in FCP7....
    Any help appreciated.

Click on one of your imported pictures in the FCP browser, and once selected, type Command + 9 to see the properties for the clip. Either report those properties here or take a screen shot and post the screen shot of the item properties here.
Next, click anywhere on you sequence timeline, and then type Command + 0 {zero} to see the Sequence Settings. Either report the Sequence Settings here or take a screen shot and post the screen shot of the Sequence Settings here.

Does this mean the actual pixel dimensions are not 1920 x 1080, but are in the 16x9 ratio?
FCP7 has a limit of dealing with still images - they can be no wider than 4000 px in the widest dimension.

  • I get 1888 x 1062 and not 1920 x 1080 with preset HDV 1080i

I have a QT movie in the Animation codec sized 1920 x 1080. Using QuickTime 7 Pro, if I export it to the Apple Intermediate Codec having set the compressor preset to HDV 1080i it produces a movie sized 1888 x 1062. Why?
    Thank you!

Thank you. I see that with aperture set to "Production" it does show the black frame making it up to 1920 x 1080.
When I import HDV 1080i video from my camera to Final Cut Express the files on the scratch disc are Apple Intermediate Codec. However they do not have this black frame and the size is 1920 x 1080. So it looks like FCE is not respecting this standard.

  • Why does 1920 x 1080 sequence export as 1888 x 1062 quicktime?

    can any one tell me why when i export a 1920 x 1080 sequence using Export Size Option Preset "HD 1920 x 1080 16:9" i get a quicktime that is 1888 x 1062?
    thanks
    aj

    show movie info
    none compression
i did another test. if i use the preset "1920 x 1080 HD" (which is different than the preset "HD 1920 x 1080 16:9" - both are in the pull down export size option list), i get a quicktime that is 1920 x 1080.
still, i am curious what is happening there....

  • Quicktime Export 1920 x 1080

    Hi
    Using CS5 Master Collection.
I am giving my finished output to someone who is doing color correction for me.  The source is 1920 x 1080, (1.9), 29.97 fps Progressive.
They want a quicktime format.  Not an AVI.
I am looking at the Export Settings for QuickTime and I only see 720 x 480, in various flavors.
Certainly there must be a way in premiere to export to Quicktime 1920 x 1080????
I assume there are plenty of threads here, but thought I'd start from scratch and get some recommended "best practices" for this issue.
    Thanks
    Rowby

    Good day to you all.
I'm having real problems exporting to Quicktime but I'm in the UK and obviously the format is PAL rather than NTSC, but I'm not sure if that affects the QuickTime settings.
I'm using PPro CS5 and I have downloaded the AVID codecs, mentioned above, and I can see them in the Video Codec menu.
    My source file is:
    Format: .avi
    Frame rate: 25
    Duration: 5m 30s
    Size: 720 x 576 (1.4587)
    Audio: 48000Hz - 16 bit - stereo
I want to output this to play on iPads, Macs, etc. in the UK. Which setting should I be using as I have gone around in ever decreasing circles and keep getting the "Error compiling movie", "Unable to create or open output file" dialogue.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • I have a video that is 1920 x 1080 14.99fps, when I load in Premiere 1080p30 it appears to be moving in slow motion, How do I fix that?

I have a video that is 1920 x 1080 14.99fps, when I load in Premiere 1080p30 it appears to be moving in slow motion, How do I fix that?

I am having the same problem, which I can explain a little better: A clip which is actually 29.97 fps (verified using QT properties) is importing as 1/2 framerate, or 14.985 (rounded up to 14.99) fps. This happens with several of my clips, regardless of the import method used (drag/drop from OS, right-click/import, or use Media Browser). I cannot interpret the footage back to 29.97, as doing so doubles the speed of the audio (an interview) making it unusable.

  • Hd 1920 by 1080

i got footage shot on a canon HD and the properties is H.264 Decoder, 1920 x 1080, Millions 16-bit Integer (Little Endian), Stereo (L R), 48.000 kHz with 29 fps
i exported that footage using mpegstreamclip to change it to apple pro res 422 and change frame rate to 25 fps and maintaining the size and adding 16 to 9 in the setting.
what is worrying me that this footage after editing will be aired on a usual tv-Pal 720 by 576.
what is the best way to put it so i don't have to find it cropped at the end.

Check with the network to see if they want letterboxed or anamorphic footage.  In addition what format are you delivering on?  File or physical media?
Without more details I suggest you drag one of your converted clips onto the timeline and select YES to update the sequence settings.  Edit.  Export that using Current Settings.  Create a new sequence with your delivery settings (720x576) and drop the exported QT movie onto this sequence.  When you drop it in pick NO to retain the settings you plugged in.  If you do it this way you will have an HD version for archival and the SD version to send to the network.
As for going from 30 to 25 frames, I don't have good advice for that.  I got some PAL in recently and went through Motion's Optical Flow to get it to 30 fps.  Looks great, but it took forever.

  • Sony 46 inch t Bravia 1920 X 1080 1080P

I am trying to find the settings for 1920 X 1080. I was told that it exists. I have gone to system settings for displays and the desired resolution is not there.

By what interface are the mini and TV connected? How is the TV identified within Dipslays preferences? What resolutions are offered as choices?

  • X200s: No support for 1920 x 1080

    Hi,
    I bought an 24" TFT with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
I connected it with an VGA-cable to my Ultrabase (docking-station).
The Problem now is, that I can Choose the resolution in the Intel Graphics Properties as well as in the Windows (Vista Business 32 bit) properties, but the Monitor show "Out Of Range"!
1600 x 1050 is working, but that not the native resolution of the monitor.
I already installed the newest Inter driver and did the latest BIOS-Update today, but the same problem.
    What to do?

    Hi bos,
    Welcome the the Lenovo forum
I agree with sveintore that digital video is preferable for the high resolution you're trying to run. As sveintore said, you could use a USB-> DVI adapter, or if you have an X200 UltraBase, a DisplayPort->DVI-D cable.
I also agree with lead_org, I think your X200s's analog video output is capable of driving the 1920x1080 resolution, but maybe the signalling between your video card and your monitor is not working optimally and you will have to manually specify the vertical refresh frequency (and possibly other timing parameters as well). You may be able to do this using the Intel graphics driver controls. Or you could try PowerStrip. But either way, you are likely to see display artifacts when driving such a high resolution with an analog signal.
    Good luck!

  • Satellite P75/P70 - is RGB output 1920 x 1080 ?

    Hi
I know the  HDMI  Port on my Toshiba Satellite will output video at  Full HD.
    My questions is:-
=>  does the  RGB  Port on my Toshiba Satellite  P75/P70  output video at  Full  HD  Resolution  1920 x 1080  ?
    and if yes
=>  does the RGB Port  also support the higher  1900 x 1200 Resolution  ?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi dbertoli
Thanks for taking the time to help.
What I need to do is to run the Laptop Screen  plus   2 x 24"  External Displays   and  run all  3  screens in Windows Extended Desktop mode.
This way I can move open Windows around to differnet areas of all  3  screens  ie:  all  3  screens will be showing different things.
As such, a HDMI splitter wont help because all it will do is  " duplicate "  the same thing across however many screens it is connected to.
Matrox offer their  Dual2Go  boxes  which  *can*  do what I want, but I have used them before and there is noticable video lag along with a significant drain on o/s resources.
The  best / perfect way to do it is   *nativley*  ie:  Laptop Screen + HDMI Output + VGA  [ RGB ? ]  Output.
From your  VGA Wiki link, it confirms that:-
" ... Today, the VGA analog interface is used for high definition video including 1080p and higher ..... "
So .... the missing pieces of information from Toshiba are:-
=> is their  RGB  port  the same as a standard VGA port ?
[  the fact that for some weird reason Toshiba call their port an RGB port  ( ie: Red Green Blue Port  )  and  *not*  a  VGA port *may* actually suggest it is not actually the same as a full-resolution VGA port  ]
=> what resolutions does their RGB port support  ?
This is normally very basic fundumental information published in the specs for any machine.
For some reason, Toshiba have chosen  *not*  to publish this information anywhere - or at least anywhere I can find.
Hence I am hoping a Toshiba User or Representaitve here can confirm one way or the other.
