Hack attempt by a certain user I know

Hey everyone, I thought it'd be fair to share this information I know just in case that person attempts to hack into other skype user's account.
So basically this guy from my contact list has been trying to send me a picture for a while (name is Fre*****y, asterisk signs to keep the privacy- I'm sure skype staff will know who am I talking about anyway if you view my contact list somehow), lately, when we haven't been in excellent relationship to say the least. I got few of my accounts in other communities etc. hacked before so I'm ultra sensitive when it comes to this, I had a feeling that he might be sending me this picture to try and virus my computer or something else- after all, why'd he want to send me some picture over skype if he can just post a link like everyone else does? Takes a lot less effort.
After I rejected he went 'fu' at me which everyone knows what does mean, he got kinda pissed off. Today he sent me a picture again(actually yesterday, because I'm writing this after midnight) so I didn't press accept or decline at all, and like 5-10 minutes after he sent me the picture again. I thought, heck, why not, after all I got my norton and it should protect me if it's some kind of a virus. Mind you, the .jpg picture had some very weird and lengthy name like 493204590329054390_28343dfsad_4532389....jpg.
So yeah, call it paranoia if you want, I changed my password right after because he was talking kinda weird and it was all suspicious to me- he just sent me some random picture and acted as if it was something special- Picture. So I instantly changed my password because I thought something fishy was going on- and I'm pretty sure it was. Right after that my internet connection dropped for some brief moments as if I got DDoS'ed or something(he could've gotten my IP somehow through sending the file?) and my internet could not simply work. Okay now that's even more suspicious, I thought, though I feared not because I changed my password preemptively.
So after a while my internet started working and I saw everyone online on skype apart from... Fre*****y guy! It seemed like he logged off right when I did too, as if he tried to perhaps log my account? Anyhow, he logged back online around 10 seconds after I did(and it could not have been that we share ISP and it went down- he lives in Norway and I live in Poland) and was acting even stranger than usual. So my wild guess is he in some way tried to:
1. Get rid of my internet connection for a while which could be DDoS thing,
2. Log off his account instantly
3. Try to log on my account and take control over it
After that we had some brief conversation, it was mostly him talking a lot in some weird manner as if he was trying to fool me, here is the conversation(P is me, F is him):
[2012-02-21 18:27:26] P: :0
[2012-02-21 18:28:02] P: i won't sleep now
[2012-02-21 18:28:26] F: atleast he is the ni***st,cant get anymore ni**ish
[2012-02-21 18:30:32] P: ni**rest
[2012-02-21 18:32:52] P: p***y
[2012-02-21 18:33:16] F: imagine how his nigglets are gonna turn out looking
[2012-02-21 18:33:40] P: did you just ddos me?
[2012-02-21 18:33:47] P: i lost my internet connection after getting the pic
[2012-02-21 18:35:03] F: i didnt
[2012-02-21 18:35:24] F: When I do that u also get probeb analy
[2012-02-21 18:35:32] F: one of my many trademarks
[2012-02-21 18:35:38] P:
[2012-02-21 18:35:43] P: you were offline for a while too
[2012-02-21 18:36:03] F: Back in my old village they used to call me "The Analator"
[2012-02-21 18:36:36] F: That was only until I abused a 12 year old girl, then then started calling me "the vaginalator"
[2012-02-21 18:36:47] F: but I will always be the analator in my eyes
[2012-02-21 18:37:17] P: i c
[2012-02-21 18:37:53] F: I hope u are taking notes
[2012-02-21 18:38:01] F: cause this is importent stuff
[2012-02-21 18:38:17] P: ye i couldn't live without this information
[2012-02-21 18:38:46] F: My gf says I talk too much **bleep** and should tone it down...I say I dont talk enough and should tone it up!
[2012-02-21 18:39:20] P: (mm)
So that would be it, it all looked suspicious to me because usually he doesn't talk so much at all, and when I asked him directly if he DDoSed me, he just started spamming me with these messages changing the topic entirely.
Anyways, perhaps I just made it all up in my mind but I like to be in a clear situation so I'm letting you skype staff know about it, and I'm also asking politely from you to look into this situation and check if my suspicions were actually right(that is if you have the possibility to do so- I guess you do).
Shall you find out whether I'm just being paranoid or I actually was right there, please make sure to get back to me and let me know .
Thanks in advance.

  • How do I only allow certain users to print in color?

Product Name: HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225dn Printer (CE712A)
Operating System Installed: Windows 7 Enterprise (64bit)
I work at a K-12 school and purchased the HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225dn Printer (CE712A) for use in our computer lab. I would like to know if it is possible to have it so that only certain users can print in color (possibly put a password on it). I know the cost for color is higher, and therefore, would like it so that students have to approve through teacher if they want to print in color.
We are running it on our Print Server (networked) not through USB.
    Thank you for the help.

    Hi,
That's a very good question actually. In my corporate networks, we are talking about hundreds of laser printers and the ONLY thing we can do: only allow people access to a set of mono laser printers, not all printers. For example, the following printer is using B&W as default but can't stop users to print in colors if they could access to the resourse:

  • View incoming mail from certain user, Terminal

Is there a way to view logs of both received and rejected emails coming into our mail server from a certain address to a certain user.
We are still having a problem with one person sending us emails, and I know that at one point the other tech (Who is unavailable due to health reasons right now) had shown me a list of emails, dates and times from a certain email address.
I have not been able to find anything in our server logs that look like they would cause any trouble. So I want to know where else I can look for something like this.
Any and all help is appreciated.
FYI, she send me the Delivery failure notices, but I know that other emails came in around the same time so our server was up and running.
    Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)
The following message to <[email protected]> was undeliverable.
    The reason for the problem:
5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) 'timeout'

We have had some strange problems today. A few emails from Feb 12 just decided to show up in peoples mail boxes (Mine included, from the same lady that was having problems the other day).
One of our employees sent some PDF attachments to Toronto, they showed up as gibberish. When she forwards them to me, they are fine.
Rebooted the Mail server just in case. Too many 'weird' things today. Now off to deal with the issue of 2 of our raids each having one failed drive, and one degraded drive. Is it Monday or something????

  • Authorization object not to allow certain user to enter sloc PO

    Dear All,
i have manage to go su21 to create under mm purchasing authorization object called Y_BEST_LOC with Acty and LGORT field. other than that i have insert check item under program RM06ENHI. after that i go to su24 to assign the transaction code check for me21 and me22. under field value for me21, my new object i want to assign value (interval) = $LGORT, but don;t know how so i leave it blank.
Come to user profile i adding this object into the authorization to check, and put in only allow for 0001 and 0002 location. But the user still can save the PO when choose 0004 without error. I want to know missing step that should be done to prevent certain user to order under 0004 storage location.
Kindly suggest and guide me. thanks in advance
    Regards
    Aishah

ME21/ME21N doesn't even check if the material is extended to the storage location entered in the PO. I don't think what you did is enough to restrict users per storage location, you need to find a user exit or BAdi and do the authorization check in the your custom code
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'Y_BEST_LOC'
             ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '01'  "Create
ID 'LGORT' FIELD '0002'. "Storage Location 0002
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    " User has authorization
    ELSE.
message 'Not authorized for storage location' type E
    ENDIF.
You may have to use the following Business Add-in (TCode SE18)
ME_CHECK_ALL_ITEMS                    :  Run Through Items Again in the Event of Changes in EKKO

  • Not displaying certain users or services on Lync Coporate Directory

    Hi there!
Is there a way to exclude certain user account(s) and Lync services from being searchable by users?

    Hi,
    Agree with Michael.
What’s more, you can use msRTCSIP-GroupingID to define different groups. Before it, you must add the account which want to be searched and which don’t want to be searched in two different groups. However, if you use this method, it simply prevents
them from finding each other using the address book, they cannot search from one group to another group members with entering name but they
can call or IM the teacher if they know the Sip address or phone number.

  • Can BPF step reviewer be specified to a certain user?

    Hi,
I know that each step in the BPF has to be either "completed" or "reviewed" before going to the next step.
I wonder if this "complete" or "review" actions can be limited to certain users. For example, a step can only be reviewed or completed by a vice-president before a local sales manager goes to work in the next step of the BPF.
    Thank you!

If you look under Component Services - Computers - My Computer - Distributed Transaction Coordinator, you can set the security model for DTC.
As far as the job failing, you may have pass-thru security issues or a mis-configured proxy account.  Hard to tell without detailed error messages.

  • Restrict password resets to certain user groups in UME

I am investigating if it is possible to create a UME action which restricts admins to unlocking/locking IDs and resetting passwords for users in a certain user group.  I know you may need to create a UME permission class and action.  Has anyone done this?  If so how?
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Mosi,
did you have a look at the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/2b/306bb5bc98f24f8a85d489449af456/frameset.htm">Documentation about the Company Concept</a>? This can also be used to delegate administrative taks in your case.

  • Password protect/disable printers for certain users under ML 10.8

I am looking for a solution to prevent my youger pupils to print everything without asking me. Is there a solution to protect/disable printers for certain users under ML 10.8 ?

Ok. The sharing interface is not robust enough (by itself) to password challenge print jobs. You may need to look at another printing technology known as CUPS. Apple created this for advanced print configuration, and it does offer Kerberos security with printing password challenges. I do not know if OS X server offers more granularity in configuration.
I won't be able to help you with the following as I do not use the CUPS printing solution here.
In Safari, type in the following and press return.
    localhost:631
You will see a tabbed browser interface. And a bit of light reading ...

  • Generating RAR Alerts for just certain user groups

Is there any way to limit a RAR Critical Actions Alert to just certain users?  Or, only if these users access certain data?
We've had a request to monitor and send out a notification for some transactions, but only for certain users.  These transactions are available to many employees, but it is only a concern if someone from a certain group uses them.  Even then, it's only a concern if they access certain data.
As an example (this is not the actual request), you have a transaction like say XD 03 (Customer Display) and its available to most everyone in the company.  You also have customers assigned to different company codes.  The issue then is that you have a certain group of users that are only supposed to look at customers for just one specific company code.  Ideally, you would want to be notified if they use this transaction to look at customers for other company codes.  At the very least, you want to know when they use this transaction so you would know to check on their usage.
If this can't be done using the RAR Alerts, is there maybe another way to perform this montoring/notification?
    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,
GRC RAR would not help you in this case. However you can restrict the Users through Roles which are assigned to them.
For example : for tcode XD03 check maintain the authorization object F_KNA1_BUK with Activity 03 and Company code 1000 (depending upon your requirement). Assign the Role to User who require the access to view the Customers for the company 1000.
Hopefully this may meet your expectations.

  • Hide objects to certain users

    Hi,
I want to hide or deactivate some of the fields(objects) in the form module
for certain users .Please help me if anybody knows it.
    Thanks in advance

create a table with the name of all your users,
then a table with your security-roles (similiar to db-roles, but in your own table)
create an intersection-table between those 2 tables
each row in the table means: this user has the permission to see the object.
then create a function Allowed_to_See (P_Obejctname IN VARCHAR2) RETURN Boolean
in that function you select from the intersection table, if the actual user has the permission to see the object P_Objectname. Then Return TRUE, else FALSE.
In the form you use the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE to check those items :
    IF Allowed_to_See ('blockname.My_secure_Item') THEN
    set_item_property ('blockname.My_secure_Item', VISIBLE, Property_True);
    END IF;
Default for this item is Visible = False
    try it

  • Exchange 2010 Limit certain users from sending external mail

    Hi
I would like to know if its possible to limit certain users in a Mailstore from sending external emails?
I am able to limit individual users but not users in particular mailstores.
Is it possible? If so how do i go about it?
    VeeCT

    Hi VeeCT,
Agree with Amit. And the basic steps are as follows:
Creat a new Distribution Group,  add the users to the group.
Creat a new Transport Rule to restrict the group.
    Hope it helps
    Best regards

  • Capture rule to exclude some certain user ids.

    Hi,
We have tables that have a column that tells you which user id made the change for that record. We are requested to not to capture changes made by some certain user ids. Do you know if we can set some rule to do this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Modify the streams rules to exclude changes made by certain user ids.
You can use DBMS_STREAMS_ADM package to create a new rule and drop the existing rule.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28419/d_streams_adm.htm
Or alter the existing rule using DBMS_RULE_ADM.ALTER_RULE Procedure

  • Forward mail to MS Exchange for certain users

    Hello.
We have a "master" Oracle Messaging Exchange Server and we have recently installed a Microsoft Messaging Server. We need certain users to use MS Exchange. The idea is changing mailHost LDAP attribute for those users (let's take [email protected] as an example), setting the MS Exchange HUB server, let's say hub.domain.com (mailHost: hub.domain.com). Doing so, mails sent to [email protected] are sent to hub.domain.com using lmtp channel. Everything works fine except for an issue: MS Exchange sees the from address like "user@lmtpcs-daemon", so we have to configure MS Exchange to use "lmtpcs-daemon" as secondary domain of domain.com, otherwise it doesn't know what to do with those mails.
Is there a way to not do that rewrite for certain users? Or maybe can we create a new channel to forward mails to Exchange? Could we define a channel depending on mailHost value or something like that?
    Any thoughts?
    Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your inputs.
It's being quite difficult for me to understand this whole mail routing thing. According to the documentation:
"The handling of a missing mailhost attribute is different depending on whether the entry is a user or a group. In the case of a user, a mailhost is essential, so if no mailhost attribute is present a new address of the form
    @smarthost:user@domain
is constructed using the smart host for the domain determined by the LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST MTA option"
Sounds good, it seems that I just need to delete mailHost attribute for the users who need to use Exchange and set LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST in option.dat. I've tried that but I get a "4.0.0 temporary error returned by alias expansion" when I send a mail to the test user.
I've deleted the LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST line and I've set mailRoutingSmartHost LDAP attribute for the user but I get the same result.
I'm not even sure about the mailRoutingSmartHost format. This is what I have:
    mailRoutingSmartHost: correoweb.saludcastillayleon.es

  • Allow certain users to capture quotation after bid end date

    Hi
Is it possible to allow certain users to be able to capture quotation on behalf of suppliers using surrogate bid after the end date has been reached but before the opening date? How would I do this?
    Regards

    Hi
As the end date and opening date are at the header level common to all bidders/vendors, we cannot manually capture quotation for specific suppliers using surrogate bidding. I dont think there is even a BADI for this.
