Hi guys! I'm just playing out with my new Samsung 830... But it is so "slow"... Using sata 2 I can reach 190mb/s write and 260mb/s read! I'm searching for a Mac OSX bootable Mini Pci-E card that support Sata3... Sata 3 will be bottlenecked to 5gbps (according to pci speed), but this could be an acceptable result!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Why iMac early 2009 beep 3 times?

I want to upgrade the ram of my 24 inch iMac (early 2009. It currently has two PC3 DDR3 1066 2GB running it. I bought a pair of PC3 DDR3 1066 4GB as Apple suggests on its support page. Even though everything is it should, every time I install the new ones and try to start up my computer it makes three beeps. I've read that this is a hardware error but I am sure I have the right spects on new ones, what can I do?

This is a peer-to-peer forum, not Customer Service. So we can't do anything about your trade-in. Verizon reps occasionally pop into threads and respond, but they seem to only respond to posts marked as a question, and yours isn't.
And I hate to continue to be the bearer of not-so-good news, but there's quite a few threads/posts on this forum with the same issue as yours.

Imac (early 2009) Slow, display issues and freezing, can anyone get any info from crash report?

Just wondering if anyone can provide some insight into why my Imac is constintantly crashing.
Issue:
For as long as I can remember it has been ocassionally freezing. First there are little redish dots in clusters on parts of the screen, then if you move a window, some of the image of the window gets left behind. Then there are moving horozintal lines that come up from the bottom of the screen. You can move the mouse but it wont click on anything.
As of about 6 months ago they crashed became so frequent that sometimes you couldn't get 5 mins out of the computer before it would do it again.
I use photoshop quite a lot but the files are never extraordinaly large.
The top left part of the computer can become really hot.
In an effort to try to resolve it I rang Apple and they got to do something which made it work properly again for 2 days, long enough for me to decide to upgrade to Mavrick. Since upgrading it's been even worse. It's really really slow and in applications like mail its flashing and looking like it's loading the page over and over again, starting with the bottom of the page and the bottom colour. Mail searh is also not working. It then freezes again.
Mostly it freezes, and doesn' t crash so I have to restart it myself, so it's not reporting it as a crash.
Today it did crash, I was wondering if anyone can figure out whats wrong the the report below?

This is a Kernel Panic report, I cannot see any software related issues, my bst guess it's related to hardware. Common causes of hardware related KPs are RAM
Incorrect RAM
Failed RAM
Unseated RAM
Eliminate each and then re-test. If it's not RAM it could be a failing HD or something else. I would recommend taking the machine in to be looked at by a professional and tested. Take it to your local Apple Store or local AASP.

Upgraded to Lion, my iMac early 2009 freeze several times a day

Since my upgrade to Lion (1.6.8 -> 1.7.3 and now 1.7.4), my iMac 2009 freeze several times a day.
the screen (wallpaper and windows) change of color ... i saw some artifacts and ... a moment, my mouse stops to move, my only way is to reboot my iMac.
before my upgrade, my iMac ran a week without a reboot .. :-!

In addition to having adequate RAM did you repair disk permissions after the updates? If not then please run Disk Utility (Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility) and run Repair Disk Permissions, I would recommend doing so 2x. If you see messages, you can normally disregard them per Apple's Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions messages that you can safely ignore advice letter.

I Spend most of the time trying to fix Muse's Problems

I'm getting more than a little tired of Muse's unreliability with it's output.
The amount of times I output a website and it 'decides' not to output an image is driving me nuts. It's a never ending cycle of trying to keep the site together.
I output a page. Then there's an image that decides it won't show up. I then open Muse, re-place that image and its shows up on the next output. Then I create the mobile site. Then the mast head on the main site decides to dissappear.
ad inifinitum.
I have this problem since the first version of muse. We are in version 6 and this still happens! I'm trying to build a service offering around this app, but I spend so much time trying to get Muse to do what is says it does, that I waste hours and hours on issues like these.

I have opened the FTP site, and cleared the directory and re-uploaded with 'All Files' option in the upload to FTP. Notice the Twitter bad in the red stripe also missing. I've given up trying to get that to come out. The yellow banners at the top are missing. And there is meant to be one in the footer aswell.

Thus far I've been unable to reproduce the bug you're encountering. I expect the bug is either related to memory management or the specific timing of events related to when the image was last read in off disk (out of the .muse file) by Muse. Either way, I haven't had any luck so far with reproducing the memory environment or timing necessary to reproduce the bug.
Here's some additional information regarding how/when Muse decides to generate and upload new versions of files. It may help you workaround the bug while we continue to attempt to reproduce it so we can track down and fix the underlying cause.
When you Publish, Upload to FTP Host, or Export as HTML, Muse includes a file named manifest.xml. This file stores information about the state of all the pages in the site at the time of the publish/upload/export and all the files that were published, uploaded or exported.
The next time you publish, upload or export, the first step is that Muse grabs the manifest.xml file that already exists. It uses the information in the file to determine which pages have changed (and thus what files need to be generated) and then verifies the data for each generated file is in fact different than what's already present before it takes the time to upload or write the file to disk.
The theory for what's happening when the bug occurs is the an image is failing to draw either due to a poorly handled low memory situation or due to a timing problem where the publish/upload/export process is actually producing the file before Muse has completed creating the image that should appear in the file.
Once this bug has occurred and the blank image file has been uploaded, the information in the manifest.xml will cause Muse to believe everything is up-to-date and a subsequent publish/upload/export will not update the blank image, even if a subsequent publish/upload/export attempt would have created a correct image file.
When the bug has occurred, if you change anything about the page where the error is occurring (i.e. just nudge an item one pixel right then one pixel left), Muse will generate the data for all the files associated with the page and then check to see if the data differs from what's in the files recorded in the manifest.xml during the previous publish/upload/export. Assuming this operation successfully created the image the data will be seen as different and the corrected image file should be published/uploaded/published by this second attempt.
It would be helpful to know whether or not this "alter the page" and re-publish approach works or not, since that knowledge may help us narrow down the root cause of the bug.
If it doesn't work initially, then quit and relaunch Muse, alter the page and re-publish. Doing so will make an out of memory situation very unlikely and it will be likely to change when image is loaded into memory relative to when it's needed by the export process.
My apologies for not having a quicker resolution for this.
Anyone else reading this thread that's encountering the same or similar bug with images exporting as blank, please speak up. Given how difficult it is to reproduce, having multiple example .muse files that have encountered the bug may make it easier to find a common underlying cause. Thanks.

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

I have restarted my computer, but the information remains the same. How do I reclaim the use of the 300GB? Why is it showing up as "Backups" when it used to indicate "Photos"? Are my photos safe on the external drive?
You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

It sounds like you are tapping the Game Center app to open it, but the screen is blank. I recommend signing out of your account:
Go to Settings > Game Center, where you can:
Sign out (tap your Apple ID)

Okay, that's got one thing ruled out at least.
Can you check something for me, big? I'd like to see if iTunes launches with the Bonjour Service disabled.
In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the screen to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the Bonjour Service and select "Properties".
In the General tab, set the Startup type to "Disabled":
... and click OK.
Restart the PC and try launching iTunes. Does it open this time?

Can someone please help me? I have been trying to get my phone activated since Saturday and Verizon keeps telling me that they cannot do it because their system is still was being updated or is down so to call in the morning becuase it should be up and running. Is anyone else having this same problem? I tried calling the for technical support all morning and it keeps giving a message that my request cannot be processed at this time. Same thing happens when I try to contact them online.

I recently bought an iphone3GS from USA and jail broke it. Since I heard the there are lots of disadvantages I thought to unlock it officially through the original owner (in copy). He assisted me and confirmed that he unlocked it with AT& T (See the attachment). According to the instructions I restored the phone. But it is not activating with “Activation server is currently not available, please try again or try with iTunes”
When I try with iTunes , it says “you haven’t inserted a SIM” even though I insert the original AT&T SIM.
My current location is Sri Lanka ,so don’t have any apple support.
Please help me to be a good fan of apple.
