Do you have the original hard drive?
If you purchased the music and books from the Apple iTunes store you can redownload (most of) them again.

What installed iPhoto there in the first place? Was it the same version of iPhoto that came with the Mac? Was iLife added at a later time from a Mac Box Set? You can selectively install iPhoto, and then apply the appropriate iLife update without taking it to the shop, after removing the application, or recover it from your backup.

Not sure how to access the FireFox book marks on the old HD and how to install them in the FireFox on the new driveSee [[recovering important data from an old profile]] in particular the section "Copying files between profile folders" and the one below it that describes the files in the profile folder.
The article shows how to find your current profile folder, you will need to find the equivalent folder on the old drive, the path to the current profile folder should show you where to look on the old HD for the old profile folder. The actual folder name for the profile folder will be different, but the path to it should be the same. -

i just had a new hard drive installed on my iMac (due to the Seagate replacement program) i was able to migrate my back up(i think) but its now acting like a new computer and i can't get past the registration screen. I filled everything out but the "continue" button won't highlight and let me cxontinue.

What version is the OS you restored? Or did you just perform Migration Assistant on it? -

Maybe. What kind of other computer are you talking about? What operating system is it running? What kind of wireless router are you using?
Your best bet may be to just reset the router and set it up again.
Just so you know, WEP is a very old security system for wireless and is considered insecure. If you have it available, use WPA2. -

I have had a new hard drive installed. On start up I transferred all my settings and documents from my time capsule. Once complete I have two user accounts. Mine and guest. I cannot access either. Mine says password incorrect even though its not. Any idea what is wrong here and how I can reset my password. I don't have a start up disc. Thanks very much

Just had a new hard drive for my iMac and reloaded all my stuff via time capsule, all works fine apart from Safari which won't connect to internet. Airport is connected but each time Safari comes back saying there is no connection....any help gratefully recieved.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
