Had binkiland malware, removed it, now on my website another window is opened

New laptop, with windows 8.1 while downloading one of the software programs i needed, got some malware. Binkiland was one of them, another one i can't recall name of. Got both removed after several hours. the binkiland was in registry, all over my pc and in about:config in firefox.
Randomly it seems to happen that while on a website a window will pop up with advertising stuff on it. i see it happen today from my own website, which has zero advertisements on it. I pressed one of my hyperlinks on that site and a tab opened with "Kelly Blue Book" advertisement.
In general, i'm finding that windows 8.1 seems not as robust for malware / attacks as windows 7. I can't believe how much crap got installed on this new PC, that has never happened in my 35 years of setting up personal computers. Okay, needing to vent a bit, Google Chrome also got installed after installing FireFox, and for sure i look at those screens and set the options. I think Avast probably did that, never saw that option appear so I could unclick it.
I looked for addons in Firefox, the only thing there is Avast.

You might want to start with some additional scanners, as each tends to find different things. Our support article lists tools other Firefox users have found helpful: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. These are free and take considerable time to run. If they seem to finish quickly and particularly if they require payment, you may have a more serious infection. The specialized forums listed in the article would be the next stop in that case.
If links are hijacked, an extension is the first suspect. Since some extension have self-hiding capabilities, you may want to review the Add-ons page again in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

Links also might be hijacked by a proxy or if your DNS settings have been hacked. To check the settings within Firefox, you can use:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default of "Use system proxy settings" piggybacks on your Windows/IE LAN setting, but you also could try "No proxy".

Chgd computers, now can't find the long, long list of streaming radio stations! I had no app before but now says "there is no app to open"

On my old computer (last week) I'd been pulling up a long list of free streaming radio stations. Now can't find it anywhere from ITunes. When I click on "Radio" it says "There is no app chosen for this". I didn't need an app before, but evidently I need one now. There are several apps. Can anyone tell me which I should choose - Pandora, IHeartRadio, TuneIn or what?

so I purchased a new Mincrosoft Office 2011 Student/Home Pin to install Microsoft Office.
You don't purchase a PIN. A PIN is generated when you install Office. You need a CD Key. If you bought Office365, you activate online.
I have issues with the Microsoft User Data - are there supposed to be two? and where exactly do they belon. They are in the Documents file at the moment.
Unless you used Outlook or Entourage you can delete both Microsoft User Data folders. When you install Office it will create a new one. Only Outlook & Entourage used this folder for data. W,E,P stores it's data in the User's Library/Application Support/Microsoft folder now.

I think I downloaded a fake Firefox update from supportfirefox.perl.sh - ever since I have had I/E popups and now audio playing with no programs running. What do I do?

I searched for something and it went to the "you need to update your firefox" so I did...then I realized that it wasn't processing the update the way a normal update from Firefox would. Sorry, I wasn't clear. That is not the tool. It is the .dmg image mounted to your desktop. Next to the name you will see a small eject icon. Click on it or highlight it and choose "Eject" from the appropriate Finder menu. Once that happens you can drag the .dmg file to the trash as it will not delete itself.

Difficult to say for certain. Apple says it deletes all the common variants but does not specify which and I haven't seen the results of any testing done to verify that it finds and deletes those. The only dialogs that appeared with the initial variants were for FlashPlayer. They are depicted in the descriptions for Flashback-A on F-Secures site if you want to take a look. There have been none that I am aware of for Java, so that is probably either a web page or application that needs Java to run giving you that alert.

The vulnerability is in Java, nowhere else, so if you don't have it installed there was nothing to fix.
If you download Java in the future it will be the latest version Apple has available at the time, which hopefully will not be subject to exploitation, yet...

Happened to me once awhile back. The exact same thing. What I did to get everything working again was open up itunes on PC and click on "Apps" section (not the one in your iphone section, but the one in the "Libraries" section near the top). Then proceed to totally delete all of the apps that aren't working (if it asks if you want to send to recycle bin click yes). Re-sync phone, which will remove them from the phone. And, finally, re-install them. It was a pain, but the only thing that worked. Hope it works for you. Good luck!

Migrating Presets does not require a network connection and you can still migrate your cc presets if you still have CC installed. Use Photoshop menu Edit>Presets>Migrate Presets... Migrating presets only migrates presets. It does not migrate Plugins, settings, extensions and scripts. CC 2014 is also not completely backwards compatible with CC. Support for Flash Panels and Oil Painter filter have been removed. So extensions like mini bridge no longer work in CC 2014

Flash Player won't work following malware removal - help!

I removed some malware using malwarebytes, which I thought was the end of my problem, but in fact it has opened up a bigger one, in that Flash Player has stopped working. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing - now have version 10.2.153.1 - but no success. Kids didn't mind when they couldn't access their online homework; not so happy now they can't play their games either. I've looked at other discussions for a solution, but nothing quite fits this problem. Any help gratefully accepted.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.

If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
