Had Enough - Now Swapping for Zen Micro -

This is kind of sad considering I didn't think any company could get any worse than Microsoft for things not working...
I bought my ghetto 1gig sansa, which was plastic, yet it actually WORKED compared to this dumb 2gb nano I purchased.
First, it won't update, and the songs it synch'd, well.... half of them didn't even work on the ipod, and they're all mp3, same codec.
Then, it won't update or synch, this comes conveniently after ive wiped all songs off my ipod and made a new playlist, and checked it in my settings for synching.
Now it won't update, won't synch, AND it won't let me revert to factory settings.
So what can I do? absolutely nothing.
Tomorrow, I shall be replacing my incredibly terrible and unsupported Nano 2gb 2nd gen, for a creative zen player, which might actually WORK, barring any spectacular tech support which helps my problem tonight.
I would be pretty stupid to suggest anyone buy an Ipod as well, considering the unbelievably irrespondible company it has making them, and I just happen to work in an Electronics department of a major store.
Hopefully if this doesn't turn around, creative can make a product with as many features as an Ipod with the spin wheel, and everyone can be happy.

Well, I would like some help, if there is any other then every other thing posted on the forum, considering I spent over 3 hours looking through the lackluster troubleshooting provided by Apple, as well as looking through dozens of posts by the knowledgable forum members here.
As I said, I'd love some help, but I've tried everything I've seen posted thus far, such as managing My Computer, and reinstalling ITunes, and, and, and.
So if someone can help me fix this by tonight then ill love you forever, but if I can't get this fixed by tonight, I'm going to swap this tomorrow at my store, and not support these products again.
It should be **** right illegal to release unfinished products such as mp3 players, where you can't self-debug, and you're FORCED to use a faulty program such as itunes to attempt to repair, but how can iTunes repair, if it is the thing that's 50% of the problem in the first place...
Microsoft payed for me to send my Xbox in, payed for s&h back as well, and made sure I was a satisfied customer. Sadly from what I've heard from customers as I inquired about the ipod, and my friends, Apple doesn't do the same, yet I decided to go with it anyways because of how insanely good the price was, as well as the superior GUI and functionality of the iPod.
I mean, look at all these people having problems, and this isn't even like 1/1000th of the userbase who actually connect the dots to post on the forum... or even visit the website for that matter.

!!! I tried to download the wrong thing... I've downloaded the Zen Micro firmware which was the same as what i had i.e. V.0.0.65 and did clean up but the tracks are still slipping - any idea?

External charger for Zen Micro batt

I just got my new Zen Micro and so far it is the best looking mp3 player I have seen but I just hope (knock on wood) tha is doesn't run into any of the issues posted. The one thing that I thought was the best feature about the Zen Micro is that I can remove the battery from the unit but to really make it usefull I should be able to have one battery in the Zen MIcro while the other is charging. This way I can have non stop tunes. Is there an external battery charger for the Zen battery?
Also, how do I know if I have an older unit that had all the problems with the headphone jacks?
One more question, when I try to pause I sometimes have to pres the pause/play button two or three times. I have the touch pad setting to medium. Should I start to worry or is this normal.

There's no external charger. The low volume of sales will likely make it a high cost item, so Creative have presumably decided it's not worth it. If you really want you can always buy another player I'm guessing this won't be far off the likely cost of an external charger. There are some third party Lithium Ion chargers out there, but you need to have a special plate designed for the battery terminals. You'll have to Google to find them as I don't have the link to hand.
I find with pause that sometimes there's a delayed response, as if the player is busy. Wait a few seconds and try again, rather than say mashing the controls

RIPING CD'S FOR ZEN MICRO (HELP!

I went to Windows Media Player 0 and Ripped Nelly's CD Suit for my Zen Micro, so it was all finished and I went into the Creative MediaSource Organizer to put it on. I went to import tracks, and clicked all the songs I wanted and hit "Continue" but nothing happened. I cant seem to figure out how to do this and i have read things all over. could someone please explain this to me. thanks
also, i have had NO probles yet with my zen micro and already have 50 songs on it (hey! i just got it wednesday, and have been busy, today i PLANNED on putting a ton more on.)

Petition for Zen Micro to have double-click capabil

I would like to submit a petition to have the Zen Micro have double-click capability. We all experience the annoyance of the sensitivity of the touch pad. It seems to response to any single click we do. Now, instead of having a single click, let?s have a double-click. Except for the volume control, let?s have every function, or most functions response with a double click. If we want to play, double click. If we want to go to the menu, double click. If we want to select an option, double click. If we want to select a window in the menu, double click.

What do people think? Any other suggestion regarding this? I hope people sign. I would love this option. I think it would allow me to select tracks, and control volume (among many other things) while the Micro still being in my pocket.

Also, is there a place I should send this to to have Creative read the petition?

It's not so much as making things idiotproof. That's why people put up petitions. It's to make things more convenient that makes the usage easier. It also adds options. People don't have to use it if they don't like. Personally, I like it because you wouldn't hit any button by accident, especially if it's in your pocket.

Painting expert for Zen Micro Ph

I bump my Zen micro photo aagainst a desk at work maybe alittle hard but not hard enough to damage the Hard dri've, However it did knock the paintoff of a /4" area on the bottom of the case (I thought it was plastic casing I guess not) any way can somebody recommend a good paint to re-paint it. Maybe this is a positi've experience (test) for the hard dri've that the paint will chip off esier then the hard dri've will be damaged with.

Go to the next paint shop and check out for a similar color. My player is white with this metalized look if I hold it into the sunlight. So maybe they have a matching color.
Or if you know a car painting garage you may ask there. Often they can help and give you a little bottle with paint for less money than you will spend for a can in a store.
And: don't forget to cover all other parts of your player with a sticky tape before you will spray or paint or whatever.

Installation Cd for zen micro not compadable with windows vis

I got a new laptop for christmas and I tried installing my zen micro using the installation disk. it loads up and says that it dose not support my computer and then cancels. i tried downloading the organizers off this website but they woulnt work? because they couldnt find any software for the zen. I have used this installation disk before on a different computer and it worked fine. Is it because my laptop has windows vista? help!

I have a ZEN Vision M and had no problem installing the Creative software on my windows Vista system. Upon placing the ZEN cd in my player I was prompted as to what action to take with the CD, I selected RUN.EVE. Then I was asked to verify that I wanted to allow the install application to run. t that point all I had to do was answer the Creative questions to install the software. I have Windows Vista Home Premium and the Creative Media Source version is 3.30.35.

Fix for Zen micro photo freezing at start

This is to confirm what I read on a previous post. My micro photo had frozen at the start up, no keys worked and I had to take the battery out to turn off. I was waiting for an RMA and read on a post that the problem could be solved by lightly striking the unit on hard surface while in the on position, let me say, "THIS DOES WORK AND NO LOSS OF CONTENT!". The hard dri've unit seems to get stuck for different reasons, this can be confirmed by a soft clicking or buzzing coming from the unit while in the stuck position. The striking of the unit must jar the hard dri've back into position with no apparent loss of content. So before you re-format, re-install firmware or send the unit in for repair, try this, it worked for me.

after paying fees and getting it fixed, there was
no problems for about a year. today it froze out
of nowhere during a song and once again
had frozen on the creative screen. after reading
this post (and also reading why NOT to do it) i decided
to just try it because i would have to replace it anyway.
so i turn the mp3 on, and lightly banged it on my desk
to my surprise it lit up and the screen said "rebuilding library"
and started playing. SO IT DOES WORK!

In Japan, the remote comes with the Zen Micro (still doesn't justify the $80 dollar price increase!!). I tried using the remote and found it to be a waste. I wouldn't bother buying it. When I am wearing a jacket I put the Micro in my jacket breast or side pocket. When I am not wearing a jacket, I use the case and belt clip.
Unless you make massi'vely long playlists and would thus keep the Micro in your bag for LONG periods of time, the remote is essentially useless. It only has volume, puase, play, and next track controls, and no display of course.
Just my thoughts on the remote. The clip sucks on the remote too. It's too small to clip to the strap on my bag securely.

i'm most likely gonna buy the zen micro tonight. i figure that it is creative's new "flagship" model so that means its prob. gonna get the most firmware, acc., and most support. if anyone has a reason i shouldnt get it let me know, i've read all the stuff about freezes and everything, but i'm sure by christmas there will be plenty of firmware for all these probs. hopefully lol. also, are there any 3rd party accessories for the micro, like skins or cases or anything? any new firmware about to be realeased?

What to do if new firmware for zen micro is not for you

Ok its pretty simple, takes long but it should work (never been tested)
Uninstall the new firmware (keep all your songs saved onto PC music library)Install the cd you were given with the zen micro.You'll have all your songs on your pc library ( i would reccomend clearing out you zen micro music library and just putting the pc music library songs on your zen micro from there) so just transfer all the files you want onto the zen micro and it should be running fine.please reply and tell me what happens.Zenmastertml

Here, I guess you want to see balance as on 30.06.2011
and transaction for 01.06.2011 - 30.06.2011.
Am i right?
FYI, If you use 0BALANCE for any period, let say 01.06.2011 - 30.06.2011
then it will show balance for last day 30.06.2011
because its aggregation is SUM, LAST Value on time characteristics.

...is a faulty file. When you download the application and open it, the language choice appears. However it won't let you choose any language, and so you cannot continue.
Anyone know what the story is here? Any remedies to this?

Cannot Edit Playlists in Zen Micro Media Player for Zen Micro on Windows Vista 32

When I click on the icon for my Zen I do not get a folder list - just a music library. As a result I cannot edit any playlists I have created as there is no icon for it. Please could anybody advise me? Many thanks.

The Media Explorer for the zen micro is not compatiable for Vista I have the same problem.
