Had Good Luck in ordering 1st iPhoto Book

First iPhoto Book order for me and I had no problems. I really liked it. My scanned photos and digital and email photos all came out looking good.
Pictures looked sharp, esp. my flowers pics. I would not hesitate to do another.

RAM: Has anyone else had good luck with Corsair?

First of all, thanks Bas and Scottg26 for pointing out the correct version of Memtest86+.
I know that Corsair has a crappy rep around this forum when it comes to the Athlon 64. However, I've had nothing but good luck so far (knock on wood). I've been up and running for almost a month now with no BSODs and the computer has booted every time so far. I'm using Corsair TwinX 1024 LL in slots 1 and 2 with the speed settings on Auto in the BIOS with a voltage of 2.6. I've run Prime95 for up to 10 hours or so with no errors and I just ran one pass of Memtest86+ v1.00 with no errors. It took 18:50 and showed the following settings:
Memory: 1024M 1447MB/S
Settings: RAM: 200Mhz(DDR 400) / CAS:2-3-2-6 / Single Channel (64 Bits)
However, I will point out that the only real world test it's really passed so far is playing Call of Duty.

Yeah They are neat at that. Question is how well do they overclock?
I'm getting a 28Mhz fsb overclock out of these dimms that I have and They are used I admit, But like the seller said they are great overclockers!

I have ordered a few books, both soft and hardcover. I would recommend paying the extra up front and getting them shipped express, since you end up paying duty afterward (you will get a separate bill in the mail) if you get them shipped standard. You end up paying about the same and it gets to you a lot faster if you choose express (the duty charges are included).

For a month I have been trying to order an iPhoto book in the UK. I have constantly failed as whatever I do my phone number comes up as not a valid entry. I have changed my details and the phone number of all of my details but no luck

This has beome very difficult as it is my daughters Birthday on Friday and I have been unable to order the iphoto albums as the sytem refuses to let me order them as it does not think my phone number is valid. I have put this number in every sytem I have including my shipping information. can anyone help me. This is a UK number and my details are in UK directories.

Upload freezes when trying to order an iPhoto book

I've seen that many people have had this problem. I'm trying to order a large (not XL) iPhoto book using my 2012 MacBook Pro. After I click "Buy Book" and enter payment information, the assembly goes well, but it freeezes halfway through the upload every time. I can and have made a pdf of the book following Apple's instructions, and everything worked just fine with that. In other forums, the suggestion is to reboot the computer in safe mode. Is this suggestion only for people who couldn't create a pdf of the book? How will this help with the upload?

ErinWyoming, I'm sharing your pain. I've ordered 3 calendars in the past with no problem. Even using this computer and the same network. Currently on a MacBook Air running OSX 10.8.5.
But this order is driving me nuts. I can create the PDF and it assembles with no problem, but gets to either one of 2 points in the upload and basically freezes iPhoto (so freezes quite early on in the upload, or around half way through). I can't cancel the order, or otherwise use iPhoto and the only way to escape is to Force Quit iPhoto.
I've tried ordering in safe mode, I've tried deleting the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file as instructed elsewhere. I've tried different Apple ID's and different addresses. I've adjusted my energy settings so that the display and computer never go to sleep and my hard disk won't go to sleep. I've tried uploading at different times of the day. I've left it running overnight (just in case I'm not being patient enough). Alas, no order goes through.
I'm not sure what else to try. I'm getting to the end of my tether!! Anyone else got some suggestions?! I'm thinking (God forbid), of constructing the calendar elsewhere at this point .... I'm OVER it!!!!

No. The iPhoto for iOS can edit photos and share them to social media sites like Facebook. But the app does not have the capability of creating photo books.

Ordering an iphoto book within europe

I live in France & want to have a book sent to the UK. On the help screen it says "Customers with a billing address in Europe can have their orders shipped to any European country where iPhoto Internet services are available"
However, I cannot complete an order unless I put in my own address as the shipping address. This is the third book I am ordering & am fed up with having to pay extra postage just to get the book to the UK!
Anyone know a way around this?

I have put together an iphot book. When I went to order it in print form, there was no place to select it as a soft cover book. How do I do this?

That is because you select the theme and cover style when you first create the book - to change it select the book undr keepsakes and duplicate it (press the command key and "D") and then open the book and click on themes and select teh theme and teh new cover - carefully verify the obok in case text reflows or pictures move,

I have not had good luck with downloads and need to get information on problems I might encounter with this download.

I am overwhelmed with all the updates, changes to new servers, etc. seems like it's everyday. I have had to bring my computer back from blue ( actually more like Northern Lights) screen(s) 3 times in the last 5 months. All crashes have been associated with a download, upgrade, etc. Once with Norton, once with Yahoo, and Java continues to cause me problems. I have a Compaq laptop running Windows Vista (I think), using Internet Explorer 9, using microsoft security (firewall, etc) and Panda virus. My current wireless provider is Comcast --but I can't afford the super fast connection anymore. I am continually having problems with Internet explorer just shutting down or going REEEAALLY slow. I figure it's probably from an update, or add-on, or some nasty "ruin your computer fun" gift from a hacker. But I can't figure how to pinpoint where the problem is.
I don't mean to sound like I'm helpless, but I am not very computer savvy. I am a 52 year old mom who loves having a virtual library at her finger tips and wants to be safe on the net. Thank you for assisting me.

I do believe I finally uninstalled Norton - I'll check again. I had AVG for awhile and I unstalled that when I downloaded Panda. The microsoft system security is supposed to alert you when there is a system conflict -- the key words here are SUPPOSED TO.
I am very leary of downloading/installing/updating anything. For a couple of reasons -- one --if there is a system conflict, a virus, bad cookie (probably doesn't even go well with milk), etc -- I don't know how to fix it. I bumble through somehow, probably creating more messes than I had, or at least different ones. If there's a BIG problem and support is needed . . . Did I say SUPPORT?? Panda was the only company that actually spent time with me. Microsoft, HP,
Norton, Comcast, Motorola (modem), and a couple of others ALL refused to help me because it wasn't their problem !!
So is having Firefox as my default browser a good thing or bad?? Will I then have to update/download all different kinds of programs. Yahoo is my email provider and my microsoft email is not currently set up. I have used Firefox before, but not on this computer.
Are there any other programs I should be aware of that might conflict with Firefox.
Are there any ADD-ON's, drivers, plug-ins that might create problems ( I really don't understand all the previous terminology, I just know those are the areas where the problems are always occuring.

Has anyone else honestly had GOOD luck with the Kin TwoM?

I recently purchased a Refurb Kin TwoM off ebay...I havent yet activated it but I did want to pass this along to others (as I was curious about) that I WAS able to take my old Samsung Intensity to a VZW Store and they transferred all my contacts within about 5 minutes! I wanted to make sure that would work first before anything! Also, I tested out the wifi @ home and Mcdonalds and it connected just fine!..its like a Wifi-Enable Mp3 player right now and it only cost me $40, so hopefully once i fully activate it the actual PHONE will work! There are a few quirks Ive noticed like others have pointed out..such as the screen lock doesnt actually lock the volume controls on the side....and the browser is awesome for a basic phone but isnt quite as smooth or 'fluid' for webpages like our Ipod Touch is...(but you really shouldnt compare it to any smart' devices that like) Im not sure if its true for all Kin's but I havent been able to play videos offline like Youtube? anyone else have this issue? I also wish with there were some simple Apps like FB / Twitter/ Maps available but I suppose I cant expect too much!

I know I'm tempting fate by posting this, but yes, I've been quite happy with my KIN TWOm.
I got mine originally in June, 2011. A couple of weeks later, it dropped from the holster on a dirt path and must have hit a pebble or something, because a small section of the screen stopped working. VZW sent me a "Certified" replacement (cost me $99 because of the apparent physical damage), and it has been performing fine for the past 13 months.
Sure, there are some software quirks (It's Microsoft, remember?) but the benefits clearly outweigh those. Probably the thing I miss most is the lack of any voice recording/command function. But I love that it has WiFi, and the nice camera and 8GB memory let me take over 400 pictures when my normal camera was stolen on the second day of a trip to Europe. The Zune music player is nice as well, and the e-mail client, while limited in function, is much nicer than the one on my previous phone.
As for the actual phone functions, I text more than I talk, and the physical keyboard is very nice for that. As for voice calls, I do that pretty seldom, but have not had any problem with dropped calls, volume, etc.
OK, the big elephant in the room is the "black screen" that seems to affect so many people. It's happened to me a few times as well. I think my background as a computer guy has helped me deal with this. When this has happened to me, it's always been when the device was "sleeping", and just didn't want to wake up. Like maybe it wasn't recognizing the interrupt from the "back" button. In those cases, I've found that holding the button down a little longer, opening the keyboard, or briefly pressing the power button will get its attention. Or sometimes I just need to let the device rest for a minute or two and it manages to untie itself. There have just been a very few times when I've had to do a cold boot (remove/replace the battery).
You also need to be careful as to how you put the device in your pocket or belt holster. Make sure that you don't position it in a way that the power button can be accidentally pressed when you sit down. There have been a few times when I take the phone out of my pocket and the little power off confirmation box is displayed. If that happens, be careful not to touch "OK" -- unless you want to power off.
Anyway, maybe mine is living on borrowed time, but overall I've been very happy with it so far.
I know there are others who have not had such a good experience, but this thread asked for people who were happy with their KINs, and I am.
