Had itunes then one day it quit working, now all i get when i open is this:itunes has quit working box

My son received a laptop for christmas last december..Itunes has worked on it up until about a month ago. Now the program states this: Itunes has quit working- we have uninstalled and reinstalled earlier verions as well as the new version. they all go through the process but when it finalizes and we open it says the same thing. under the details of the error we get all this stuff:

It goes on forever with a list of code. We have even tried to the the winsock reset and nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we need to do? We have done everything the apple support site has stated but nothing seems to work. I hate to think we has lost all his purchased music etc over this. HELP!
