Had to do complete system restore - how can I get my library and apps back?

I recently had to do a complete system restore on my laptop. How can I get my iTunes library back, including apps? I haven't updated my iPod Touch in a while because I don't want everything on it to be erased.

You restore them from the backups you made before you did a complete system restore.
You do make regular backups, especially before you wipe your system, correct?

You'll have to resync using your own computer. It should restore from your backup.

Hi there , I'd be very happy if someone out there could guve me a hand so here it goes... a few days ago , I was on my mac os Lion and then there was a sistem update , as usual , I accepted the sistem update and restarted my computer .... somehow the computer crashed in the midle of the installation and It wouldn't boot anymore , so I entered the Command + ( S or R , I don't remember right now ) and Formated the sistem ( It was the only way out ) . Now that everything was erased , I want so sinc my iphone with my "new" iTunes , but it has nothing , can I do a reverse sync ? Is there any way to recover ONLY the itunes from my backup external Hd ?

- If you backed up the iPod after taking the photos then restoring from backup will recover the photos. To restore from backup see the restoring topic of:

If you restore via iTunes make sure that autosyncing is turned off. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says prevent iPods...".
- Otherwise if the photos ore not on the computer or iPod they are gone uless you can get them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

Connect to the computer the last backup is on, right click on its name in iTunes, and choose "Restore from backup". If the latest backup is in iCloud make sure you have a WiFi connection, then go to Settings/General/Reset and tap Erase all content and settings. After erasing you will be prompted to restore the iCloud backup.

My OS went out on PC while reinstalling Windows my iphone froze. I took my phone to the apple store and the only way they could fix my was to to reset it. Almost every song in my library is telling me that:

Every song that I have wanted to play, I was able to locate on my hard drive... but how can i get my entire library back into Itunes without tracking them down one at a time... While keeping all my playlists?
I have checked my *iTunes Music Library.xml*, and the locations listed in the library are correct.

This is how I fixed this problem on my sister's PC (Yes PC).
I deleted the itunes library.xml file.
I opened itunes and unchecked the 'organize' option.
I searched entire computer for *.mp3.
In the search results, I selected all mp3's that had been found.
I right clicked (yes PC) the selected mp3's and selected play with itunes.
When itunes opened, only one mp3 that was in the default itunes location opened.
I then went back to search results and dragged all mp3's onto the itunes player window;this in effect imported all music back into itunes but associated the player with the location of the music, in this case a 200 GB USB drive (F).
I then went back into the itunes options and rechecked the box to organize music.
This process took some time, as my sis has over 4000 songs.
Also, all playlists are gone, but I think I can recover these from the IPOD itself.

If you haven't backed the device up in a year, and you did not copy the pictures and other data off before restoring it, then your stuff is gone.
It is important that you back up your data, just like with your computer, regular backups are vital for recovering data when things happen.

It is ultimately up to the user to manage their content and ensure it all exists in an accessible location.
