Had to reload cs3 to my laptop. now I can not open cr2 files from my canon d50

I think I am thick. I have tried a number of ways but to no avail. I need a step by step tutorial.

It sounds like you put the zip folder into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS3\File Formats
Go to the above folder and move everything out of that folder onto your desktop, then right click on the Camera_Raw_4_6.zip
and choose Extract All.
Then when the Extract dialog comes up check Show extracted files when complete
Then in the next dialog that comes up, right click on the Camera Raw .8bi and choose Copy
Then go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS3\File Formats
and right click in an empty space and choose Paste
Now hopefully when you start or restart photoshop cs3, your files will open.

Unfortunately CS3 does not support the 7.2 Camera Raw Plug-in. Here is a list of Raw-compatible Adobe Applications. From the list, you can see that Photoshop CS3 only supports Camera Raw 4.0 through 4.6. With that being said, the Raw plug-in Supported Cameras list states that you need atleast Plug-in 7.2.
With that being said, you will need to upgrade your software version to CS6 or Creative Cloud (CC) in order to support Camera Raw on your Sony A99. Photoshop Elements 11 and Lightroom 4.2 and above also supports Camera Raw for your camera model.

HELP! I attempted to erase free space and now I can't open any files!

Hi everyone! I hope you can help me with my problem.
Last night, I attempted to erase free space from my HD using disk utility. During the operation, the computer hung, so it wasn't able to complete 'creating temporary file' operation. So i had to stop the operation. And now, I can't open any files! Turns out my HD was full. But prior to my attempt to erase free space, I still had 25GB out of 55GB of free space. What happened? And how do I fix it? A lot of important files are in my HD and I don't want to lose any of it.
Hope somebody could help me. Thanks a lot!

Hi, Scary isn't it? I did the self same thing. Check your trash, you should see one or more disk images there. Empty the trash. All will be OK thereafter.
If they're not there, restart and either the system will sort itself out or they will appear in the trash, so empty it.

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. It's your responsibility to make backup copies (as iTunes itself advises) in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
For apps, look here for instructions on redownloading. For songs, movies, and videos, if you don't have a backup of your purchased items, either on external media or another computer and don't have them on an iOS device (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad), you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your content.
If you have your content on an iOS device, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. I tried to upgrade to FF4. When I dragged the icon to my applications folder it had a circle with a slash through it. The new version replaced my previous 3.6... version and now I can not open FF at all. Instead of opening I get a msg saying "The app FF cannot be launched -10661" Please help!!!

If you just installed iCloud does that mean you updated the iOS that's running on your iPad? If so, you'll want to restore all the programs you have from the backup you hopefully made.

If you don't want to use iCloud, simply don't activate it.
You can also download the programs again.

I do not know how it is done, but you MAY be able to buy her a regular subscription and pay with your credit card... just not the Education version that has strict requirements

Hi Pat, My operating system is Windows 7, Home Premium Service Pack 1. My email client (email Provider is Cox Communications - Cox.net).
Can not in my post means I tried to open a pdf attachment to a email. I received nothing happens. I do not get a blank screen or any messages. Nothing Nothing happens at all. I can click several times and get no response.
I did discover that by clicking on the Adobe Icon on my deskt topi get an Adobe box containing "Do you want to allow changes to your computer. I click Yes and get to my computer where I can find the above mentoned attachment which I think I had previously saved. I then get the attachment whick I can print. This may be printing from my hard drive - I am not sure. I think I could go through this procedure every time I want to open a atachment but it seems a long way around.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated. I have thought about removing Adobe and reinstalling. Maybe there is a corruption to my Adobe file.

I just puchased the latest Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.
I put in the Serial Key number but my computer tells me that a qualifying product could not be found on my computer so I can't use the adobe product. So now I can't open any files or attach pdf files onto emails without this message coming up. I've un-installed the "Adobe Acrobat XI Standard twice! with no luck.

DotBellaParis if you are being asked for a qualifying product then it would appear you purchased an upgrade to Acrobat XI Standard. You should have the opportunity to enter the serial number for your previous purchase of Acrobat. If you did not intend to purchase an upgrade then I would recommend submitting a return request. Just take a look at the last few days posts here and you'll see many people with the same problem and some possible solutions.
But you should never do any software updates unless you have a bootable backup of your startup drive. FCP7 is no longer being supported by apple and updating anything is fraught with dangers.
