my computer broke down and now i bought a new Mac, how can i get my music back from iTunes??
Unless you subscribe to iTunes Match , Apple does not keep a backup of your iTunes library. Even then it is not the library as it exists on your computer, but some version of the media, and only media files, not playlists. Even then not all media are definitely available since anything removed from the iTunes Store since you purchased it is not available for re-download.

In your case it sounds like you will have to obtain non iTunes purchases from their original source or a backup you may have made at some time in the past. -
How can I get my music back from iTunes to my iPod Touch?
I just recently purchased an IMac. My music was all on my hard drive on my old computer. I went to sync some new music onto my Ipod Touch and Itunes deleted all my old music off of my Ipod Touch. My new music synced fine but I lost over 500 songs! I know....I should have tranferred them before I got rid of my old computer but since they were already on my Ipod Touch, I never dreamed that Itunes would delete them! Anyway to get them back?
If you have your hard drive from your old computer you can transfer it...
...but anotherway I don't know, not a genius on computers hehe. -

I am trying to re-install Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard on my Widows 7 Professional computer after I had to replace the hard drive. I keep getting error message and I get "Exit Code 15: Media DB Sync failed". I have run C Cleaner with same results. Have Disabled UAC and Startup items and Services with no success. Please help - frustrated to no end. Can someone help me?
make sure you're using the adobe cleaner, not crap cleaner, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
copy the installation files to a desktop folder and install from there. -
I had to replace my hard drive and can't get my Photoshop CS2 9.0.2 to activate. I have tried both the phone and the website and have both the serial numbers. I can't find a number that works to speak to a live person at Adobe. I need to reduce the pixel size TODAY on some photos and need the program. Is there another way to reduce pixels if I can't get my Photoshop running today?
Intertech Design wrote:
Where do I get the specially assigned serial number????? I don't want to have to purchase anything since I already bought the CS2 and I don't need a newer version.
Follow the prompts at the link provided by Ned.
Everything's there including your new CS2 non-activation download file and your new non-activation serial number.
It's free for existing owners of CS and CS2. Nothing more to purchase. -

Replaced my hard drive and can't get snow leopard back...
I replaced my hard drive and reinstalled the operating system using my "Leopard" install CD. But I had purchased "Snow Leopard" and now have no idea how to get "Snow Leopard" back. Itunes won't work for some reason...everything else is fine. I do have my time machine...but I had so much junk on their I don't want to just restore it... I want a fresh computer with what I had purchased..."Snow Leopard"...so that I can maybe upgrade to Mountain Lion.
Can someone help? You need to reload it from the DVD you used to install it. If you've lost that, the online Apple Store sells them.

I restored my hard drive, how do i get my files back for iweb
I had to restore my hard drive on my imac. I had backed everything up with time machine prior to the restore. I have been able to get everything back up and running except my iweb. The program and icon are showing but i cannot get my website back in the program.
iWeb needs the domain file where it stores its content. The picture shows where it should be.
If you made a backup you can restore it.
If the backup is missing, you'll have to start from scratch. You cannot import published HTML pages.

Hard Drive Crashed Having Problems Getting My Music Back
I completely lost my laptop hard drive. It was unsalvagable. Before I reinstalled Itunes on the new hard drive I plugged my Nano in and copied all of the music on it to a desktop folder as a backup. Then I reinstalled Itunes and plugged my Nano into the computer. I got a message that my Ipod was not recognized on this computer, or something to that effect, and did I want to associate it with my library, I clicked yes.
I can't get my music to play on the Ipod. My computer was able to recognize the music that I had put into the backup folder and I can add it to my libraries, and play it from Itunes but when I put it on the Ipod but it won't play. Oddly enough, two songs that I purchased a few years back will play on the Ipod but nothing else; they weren't on my Ipod Nano to begin with, they just showed up in my library when I added the new hard drive to my account.
Is there anyway to reauthorize all of the music or somehow make it play? It is possible to just uninstall Itunes, copy the desktop music files to the Ipod and then somehow start over, etc.?I'm not sure I completely understand what you've done.
1) Did you back up the songs from your old hard drive? Those are your base files for songs purchased through iTunes, rather than those on the iPod. My understanding of Apple's DRM scheme is that the iPod is only intended to REFLECT what you have stored on your hard drive. Always a good idea to back up those hard drive files on an external drive, etc.
2) Once authorized, your iPod should play anything you are authorized to play on your main computer.
3) If you're trying to add those old files copied from your iPod back into iTunes, that may not be a possibility... Part of Apple's DRM scheme.
Hope any of this was helpful.

I downloaded a book from iBooks and it only had 46 pages and had loads of spelling errors. How can I claim my money back? Before the download, it did not show how many pages the book contained like it normally does.
use the Report a Problem link on your receipt or in the purchases area of you iTunes account.

How can I get my music back into iTunes after erasing my disk?
I had to reinstall Windows XP, erasing everything on the hard disk. I had saved the music files with backup software, so I now have them back. But iTunes won't add them to my library. I tried importing songs from a new CD to see where iTunes put those files, and then copying an album folder into the same location. But Windows wouldn't copy the files inside the foder. Nearly all the songs were originally taken from CDs in my collection, and the songs are still on my iPod Nano.

Wow,
Wonder why XP won't let you copy files?, perhaps you used a different user name?
Or these are the old DRM versions of the songs? You should be able to log into your iTunes account and authorize the computer and iTunes should recognize the songs.
Well since you have the iPod Nano, you can head over to iLounge and ask them what current third party software works to move your iPod Nano music back to iTunes.
Hope that works out for you -
New hard drive - how do I get ipod music onto pc
Ok, I know, I know I should have backed up more frequently etc etc.....but hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Basically my hard drive has crashed and I have had to completely replace it. Obviously my itunes on my pc is now completely empty but my ipod has 20GB worth of songs on it..........
....therefore, my question is, how can I populate the itunes library on my new pc with the songs currently only stored on my ipod??Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay. -

There are various programs out there for recovering photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you search the internet you can find more.
