Had to reset ipod touch, how do i re-download applications that weren't on the computer

My ipod had to be reset after my battery died, and some applications that i downloaded directly onto my ipod now aren't there because it had to sync to my computer again which didn't have the app. How do i re-download them? i kept receipts too so i figured that i would be able to just download it again somehow

Report the theft to the police.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

I downloaded the newest version of itunes today and I was starting to sync my ipod and it lost everything. So I had to reset it. Is there a way to get back the applications and music I purchased just on my ipod but did not get to put on my computer yet?

You can e-mail itunes support and see if they will make an exception, but they are under no obligation to do so.

My Ipod touch will not connect to itunes. It only connects to the computer, nothing else. I have tried everything that I can, but itunes still wont recognize it. I even checked the printers and drivers and it stated that my Ipod is now a digital camera.

I bought a used ipod touch I deleted everything on the ipod I didnt have it connected to my computer, and now all it does is shows an itunes logo with a plug, and I plug it into my computer and my computer doesnt recognize it. How can I fix this? Do i need a new cord?

My iPod Touch won't turn on even when I connect it to the computer.

About a month ago, I lost my ipod 4th gen, and I got it back yesterday morning. Before I lost it, it was at less than 20% battery life, so I knew it was going to be dead. When I got home to charge it, my computer wouldn't recognize the device. I tried doing the home/lock button thing to no avail. I held the lock button for five minutes without any response. The stupid thing has been plugged into the computer for the last day or so, and nothing is happening to it. I really miss my ipod... Can anybody help?

ive recently bought an ipod touch iOS 5.1 last december on the 8th and ive encountered problems with my applications most of the time when i sync my ipod touch with itunes. i think apple should have come with a solution by now as this problem has been encountered by millions of ipod touch users. Well, i have a way that MIGHT help other ipod touch users who encounters this problem. well, all you have to do is to uninstall any application that you have downloaded and then reinstall it again. Example : u have the app 'Facebook'. you just have to uninstall it n then reinstall and you're done! Hope this helped. If any of you have another way to solve this problem, please share it as it will be useful to me and other ipod touch users....

Uninstall and reinsalling an app cause you to loose data and is not the first chose in resoive an app not opening problem. The following is Apple's recomjmednations that includes unstalling/reinstalling as the sixth option.
