Half my Bible has been raptured - will itunes give me another copy?

I bought an (expensive) audio bible some time ago from itunes and listen to it occasionally. I'm not sure when it happened but about half the 33 file folders that go into making it up have been somehow emptied of content. The half-a-Bible has been synched to my ipod classic at some point and I'm only realising it now. Nothing else appears to be missing but I couldn't be sure.
Can I get a backup copy free from itunes. Or is it a case of trying to find a torrent?

Since it is in warranty, it comes down to whether the problems fall under the warranty. Accidental damage or abuse are not warranty items, so you need to take your phone into Apple and have them assess it. Only they can tell you if they will or will not deal with your specific issues under warranty.
If your friend opened the case or did anything in terms of hardware repairs himself, then you've already voided your warranty.
Why didn't you just take it to Apple when the very first issue occurred?

If you previous synced to the computer then you may be able to recovery use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:
Disabled Recovery-must use syncing computer.
Otherwise y have to erase the iPod
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

The music you just downloaded tonight to your new computer is safe. The music you purchased on your phone is safe. You shouldn't feel gutted. It's your other music that you should have taken better care of. That would include any music you ripped yourself or purchased outside of iTunes. That you can't get back.
It has always been the user's responsibility to back up and protect downloaded music. If you didn't have a backup of your computer before it started acting funny, that's your fault. It would be no different than if you lost a music CD. It would not be a record store's responsibility to replace if you lost it. Digital music is no different. Similarly, a phone is not a backup medium. Phone's break, get misplaced or stolen all the time and are not a substitute for a backup copy of your music and media.
Computers WILL break. Hard drives WILL fail. That's why you back up your data.

Hello, thank you for your prompt answer. I did have an idea that Home sharing might be the answer but could not quite figure out how to do it. I have enabled home sharing in my iTunes account, put in username and password, clicked on creat etc. But the homs sharing icon doew not appear in the left side of iTunes. So I got stuck. Sounds like you need a new battery. Take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.

Specifically this section:
To delete synced photos and videos
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Click Apply.
To delete Camera Roll photos and videos
There are two methods to delete items from the Camera Roll:
Import the Camera Roll to your computer, choosing to delete items after import.
or
Delete photos and videos from your device manually. Open the Photos application, open the Camera Roll, tap the Action button, tap each photo to select it, and tap the Delete button.
Note: For photos and videos you want to save for later, import them to your computer before deleting them from the Camera Roll.

I have just updated my iPhoto to Photos in OS X and i have noticed that the option to edit photo with external editor such as Photoshop has been removed. will this be back!
Its now a pain to send a photo directly to my favourite photo editing software.

Totally understand being a new app and not an update.
So i'm a ammeter photographer and i like the way i can view my photos in iPhoto and i'm happy with the new App for this also, however i like to edit my photos in PS from time to time and i shoot in raw. As i can no longer select edit in external editor from the photo app i tired to drag a RAW photo to PS but this didn't work. i then tried dragging to desktop but this then made a jpeg so i loose my raw advantage. I would like to be able to find my original raw photos easily so i can edit them in PS.

Gift cards can only be used in the country in which they are purchased - so in order to use a US gift card you would need to have a US iTunes account.

Next, highlight a backup that matches your device, secondary-click on it and select "Show in Finder"

I've had a look at the TC settings dialog and tried to keep it as simple as possible. I also had a copy of LR 4 on the hard drive so have trashed that also incase of any conflicts. LR seems to be running ok now but as said it's an intermittent problem.
I also have a copy of Capture One on the hard drive so am going to uninstall that also in case it is trying to launch.
