Half of my lock button isn't working.
I bought my iPhone 5 on December 26th and it has been in an otterbox since I bought it, and I have never dropped it. If you tap the back of my phone right about the apple logo you can hear a slight rattling noise and the right half of my lock button isn't working. But if I press to the left of the middle of it, it does work. I have Applecare, the one problem is the nearest Apple store is 2 hours away. What should I do?
Thank you!

My lock button isn't working. I am using the assistive touch thing right now. Can I get my phone fixed or replaced?
Rice is hit or miss but if you can (assuming you live in a home with a furnace) sit it up with the speakers facing down on an air flow register for about 10 minutes. The heat from the furnace will not harm the sensitive components and will dry the phone out nicely including the display layers. DO NOT USE a hair blower! The iPhone is capable of drying out much more easily than phones with removable backs as the iPhone while sumbermeged in liquid (for a short time) will take on limited moisture hence can be dried and keep on keeping on. My dauhter dropped her iPhone 5 in a toilet and it was fine after spending 24 hours in rice and 10 minutes on the air register while the furnace was producing heat.
One last thing. DO NOT POWER ON the phone until the drying out efforts have been completed and certainly DO NOT plug it in. -
My lock button isn't working and I completely forgot that, I turned off my phone to restart it and now I cant turn it back on, Any suggestions?
You need to get the on/off button repaired.
You can try connecting the iPhone to a power source which should power the iPhone on. -
I checked the help pages, and it said to make sure i have the latest software update. If that didn't help, try a Factory Reset. What does that have to do anything with my lock BUTTON not working? (For the record everything is up to date) This is my first iPhone4s, depending how the conversation goes tomorrow with Apple Support going to see if I will be sticking with apple products. So, far it has been an amazing phone, but gotta make sure their service is as good as their product.
All new iPhones have a 1yr warranty. Unfortunately, due to the device being damage the warranty will not cover the issue. Take the device to Apple and purchase an Out of Warranty replacement.

My lock button is stuck and isnt working
Make an appointment at any Apple store. There is no software fix for a hardware issue.

My iPhone 4 has gone completely dead and is unresponsive. Can anyone help?
I would never recommend tinyumbrella. I've had to respond to hundreds of posts from people who used it and found the it trashed the network database on their computer.
If you can't recover using approved methods rather than hacking your phone (which is what tinyumbrella does) then you've probably got a hardware problem.
So what should you do? First, connect it to a charger for 15 minutes. If it doesn't recognize the charger try a different one and a different cable. Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Hold up to 1 minute. If nothing happens your phone really is broken, either a broken connector or a bad battery.
If you DO get some response see this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Of course, if you have already tried tinyumbrella this won't work until you repair the damage to your network database on your computer. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. -

My lock button isn't working and my notification bar is pulling down..
I put on the AssistiveTouch on but I'm scared to turn off my phone, I made an appointment at the apple store will they replace my phone?

If I'm force to change phone I want one 6.1.2 or lower the new ones drain batteries in my opinion
It doesn't matter what you want. You will be given a replacement phone and whatever iOS is on the phone from the factory is what you will get. You don't get a choice. iOS 6.1.3 has been out for quite a while; it is VERY likely your new phone will have this version of iOS.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

i have an ipod 2g and my lock button wasn't working so i took the ipod apart and changed the button. the top half works but the bottom doesn't so i cant unlock my ipod but i can still listen to music and such
Take it apart again and find out and fix what you messed up.
First I would try restoring the iPod. to factory settings/new iPod -
My power/lock button does not work. I am unable to lock, power-off or reset my phone and am unsure of how to rectify this problem when that button isn't working.
Same here. 64gb iPhone 5s just arrived today. Feels fine but either doesn't respond or *severely* delayed response. Like minutes later... Going for replacement.

Please Help!!!! I have an ipod touch 4th gen. and since the last update the lock button no longer works, this has caused it to have a lot of problems now like freezing all the time, kicking me out of almost all my apps, some times even when if locks on its own its not locked and buttons with be pushed in my pocket, and this causes the battiery to die fast. I really love my ipod and would like to just get it fix if possible for a reasonable about of money. Anyone know of a place I can get it fixed in Ft Lauderdale Fl area or is there something I can do?
Have you tried:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

My screen is frozen on the camera and my phone won't let me shut it off. My lock button doesn't work and my assistance touch button won't let me shut it down either. My phone also takes hours to die and my battery if fully charged so i can't wait for it to die i need to get it back to normal asap! How do I get it to unfreeze?
A reset is when you press and hold both the home and sleep buttons for 10 seconds or so until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose any data. Give it a try.
