Halftones with a round dot

Hi - I'm moving over from Freehand to Illustrator CS3 and wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to fill an outline with a course round dot say about 30dpi. In Freehand it is easy but not so sure about CS3. Thanks Paul

I am in the same situation as you. I too used Freehand and had to make the switch to Adobe Illustrator CS2. I work for a screen-printing company and use halftone dots frequently, but I have been unable to produce the right size halftone dots that I need. I have figured out a way to create halftone dots that work, but I am unsure on how to adjust the dot size to something much smaller. Try the following:
1) Open Adobe Illustrator and select a New Document
2) Place the image to use, whether it be raster (try grayscale) or vector (the fill must be a color with a value less than 100%) , inside your document
3) Make sure the image is selected and then go to Effects -> Pixelate -> Color Halftone
4) A menu will pop-up. You can change the Max. Radius number (4 is the smallest value)
5) Select OK in the pop-up menu and it converts your image to halftone dots
6) If you don't care for the size of the dots, UNDO and repeat the above steps using a different value for the Max. Radius.
This process doesn't produce the cleanest halftone dots but it does the job. My problem is that I need to be able to produce finer halftone dots. I have tried changing the dpi on my printer but I can't get it any lower than 300dpi, which produces extremely fine halftone dots. I need a halftone dot size that is between these two options' products. Hopefully this helps you...

I purchased one a second time, it worked, I switched my phone off and on again and it has gone again!!!

Having the same issue on multiple alert tones on my Iphone5c. After purchase they disappear from the phone and show up on my itune under Tones grayed out with a dotted circle next to them.

Red line with matching red dot imovie 11

Hi All,
I'm just getting to know iMovie 11 and am now only baffled by a few things.. One of which is this red vertical line with a red dot that I sometimes make appear on the timeline... I'm not sure what it's for but would love to know! I've tried searching online to figure it out but I assume because I don't know what it's called, it's very hard to find anything about it...
Does anyone know what I mean and can you point me in the right direction of where to find out what it is and how it's used?

I found a work around... If you copy and paste the video files into the events folder it adds them when you create a new project. I'm not really happy about doing it this way, but at least I can finish editing my clips

How are you connected to the internet? Are you behind a particularly secure corporate firewall? Are you on Mac or Windows? Do you have any anti-malware software running on your machine that may be preventing applications other than your browser from connecting to the internet?
You may try to follow the steps below:
1.Close the Creative Cloud application.
2.Navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
3.Delete the opm.db file.
4.Launch Creative Cloud.

I have the same problem. I bought a 3rd party software (tunejack) and it allowed me to transfer my songs to my new pc. Now I can't play them because I am not authorized. It says I am but then it says im not.

No, you don't have to delete and restore. Just open a folder on your computer, call it something like iPad music, keep it open, open iTunes, select all your music, copy and paste it in the folder you just created, delete all your music from iTunes (relax, you just copied it into that folder). Select all the music in that folder, drop it back onto your playlist. Now, I renamed my playlist, because it was called untitled, originally, so if that doesn't work, rename, or delete and recreate your playlist, copy the music back over, sync, and they will play.
Worked for me, anyhow. Good luck!

Can I turn off the iMessage typing indicator bubble with the three dots off?

I currently use software on iOS 6 that disables my outgoing bubble with the three dots that lets whoever I'm communicating with know that I'm typing. I want to update to iOS 7, but can't find any information about whether the option to disable the indicator is present in the new settings. Thanks in advance to anyone who can't point me in the right direction.

The issue I think is connected to the colour profile, and the 8,16, or 32 bit image mode option. In the past, my images have come from lightroom as 16 bit files and I've never had any issues. I guess I'm not very adept at the file handling aspect of this program. I shoot in RAW and like to play around with my photos, then print them. I was under the impression I should be using the srgb colour selection not RGB, but then I've read I should change it to RBG once I'm ready to save the file to print. I also changed my files over the 8 bit from 16 once I saved the after using photoshop.

Help with a ROUND function

Hi everyone, can someone please help me with a function to use here please. I have a nine digit number e,g (000046650 and 024063870). I would like to convert this to 4 digits before the comma and 5 digits after the comma. So it must be something like this (0000,46650 and 0240,63870). I thought I could easily do this with a ROUND function, but it doesn't work. Could somebody please help by telling me what I'm missing?

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?
