I am running IE 11 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Service Pack 1. When I attempt to install Flash Player, it goes through all of the steps, tells me the player is installed, and welcomes me. I cannot open the player and it does not appear in the Start Menu, Task Manager, System Tray, or anywhere else. When I try to open a file, the site tells me Flash player is not installed. I have even downloaded it to a separate folder and ran the install with IE shut down completely. And Shockwave in ENABLED but in 32 bit .I have been trying to get this to work for about 3 weeks now. HELP!!!

Flash Player is a browser add-on, not an executable program.
If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually.

Try one of your other USB ports. Be sure to insert it with the plated fingers pointing upwards.

Clamshell mode does not appear to work with Mountain Lion installed

Installed Mountain Lion on an 11" MacBook Air last Friday night. Now the MBA does not work in clamshell mode at work with an external monitor. It does not appear to wake or connect to the monitor.

Double click your home button when the phone is locked. The camera icon will show up then.

Recently downloaded and (tried to) installed IOS 8.1 for my iPhone 6 (16GB) and now all it does is load the white screen with the black Apple logo and then crashes and shows a red screen. The cycle then repeats. Suggestions?

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone does not start up past the Apple logo. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Thanks, but a I indicated in my original post, I have already tried everything in that KB article. That article doesn't address the fact that I can mirror from an iPad 4, but not from an iPad 2. According to all of the documentation about mirroring, there is no reason why the airplay / mirroring icon shouldn't appear. It's explicitly enabled on iPad 2.

An iPhone 4 cannot be updated to iOS 8.
Apps that require iOS 8 won't run on an iPhone 4.
You should be able to use the Facebook Messenger app on iOS 7 > Facebook Messenger on the App Store on iTunes
If the app won't open properly, reset the iPhone.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try that app again.

I think in your situation it would be worth trying the things listed under the event. It does have to do with FRS and it's easy to do. I've used it to fix journal errors after a server unexpectedly restarts and sysvol stops replicating. I
could see where it could fix your issue, and if it doesn't, you're out 5 minutes. :)

I de-installed this and installed the latest version but the BI Publisher tab does not appear in Word now.
I've repeated the exercise several times - I can install the older version and the plugin appears.
Any Ideas?

It sounds like you are constantly needing to restore your phone because it keeps going into recovery mode. Usually putting a device into recovery mode and restoring it can help isolate an issue to your iPhone hardware if an issue persists afterwards. I would try manually putting it into recovery mode and restoring it 1 more time:

If that does not resolve it the symptoms indicate to me that it is a hardware issue causing this to happen and would seek service for it:
