Hana Repository Translation Tool

Hi,
I am using RTT tool to export XLIFF files for HANA models. I need to convert the texts in French Language. As part of help documentation SAP has recommended using ABAP translation system. However the command to do automatic export from HANA database and import into ABAP translation system is for SAP internal use.
I need some help in uploading these XLIFF files manually into ABAP system and use transaction se63 for doing the translation. If anyone has done something like this in their project please let me know.

First of, thanks for your interest and taking the time to reply.
The reason why I am exploring syncing two repositories or need them in two places, the rules used for text analysis need to reside in both locations, one copy is used for building a software that gets deployed on its own, another goes to HANA to implement the same software in HANA using HANA Text Analysis. So that is the reason why we try to manage these copies to sync automatically or an easier way than copying back and forth.

I am new to AiE/HANA tools.
I am trying to install SAP HANA cloud platform tools, but adding the URL Eclipse Kepler (4.3), URL: https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/kepler in the Eclipse menu.
However, I get the 'This repository is currently not available' message.
Am I doing something wrong here?

Reporting off BPC Cube in HANA using BOBJ Tools

Hi,
I have a customer who is on BPC NW on HANA. Customer has BPC cube exposed in HANA, We need to do some reporting on that BPC HANA views with the ability to drill down to the hierarchies. Is there a BOBJ tool which would allow the cutomer to:
1) Drill down on the G/L level
2) Mobile compatible
3) Have access to BPC built in logic/metadata

Issue with one Select Query in PBS Archive Translation Tool

Hi All,
Iam having X mark symbol against the select query from EKET table
This is the select query in my actual program and when i convert this using PBS Archive Translation Tool i have a X mark against this select query
SELECT SINGLE BANFN FROM EKET INTO V_BANFN WHERE EBELN = BSEG-EBELN AND
EBELP = BSEG-EBELP AND
ETENR = '0001'.
I guess i have to modify this select query because EKET table has transaction data and we cannot ignore this X mark.
Let me know if iam wrong
ALso , iam confused whether a select query with X needs to fixed or can be ignored

Russian Translations problem with Translation Tool Package

Hello Everybody.
I'm doing some translations and whenever I try to paste a Russian text into one of the messages in TTP, the app transforms the Russian characters into question marks. For example:
Предупреждение: Контактное лицо X не имеет связи с Бизнес-Партнером Y. Но Активность будет сохранена.
TTP Transforms it into:
??????????????: ?????????? ???? X ?? ????? ????? ? ??????-????????? Y. ?? ?????????? ????? ?????????.
Did anyone come across with this problem?

It looks like Translation Tool Package does not support russian character set and that's why it is displaying as '?' which means character is not recognized by the application.
Are you able to type the russian text in a note pad?? If you can type and text is proper, Operarting System is able to recognize russian characters, and not the TTP.
If it displays '?' in the notepad also, it means OS is not able to identify the Russian character set. In this case, you need to install the russian character set in the machine.
Can you please provide which CRM mobile release you are currently using. In case if you are using CRM 5.0 or above, you can translate the texts using Mobile Application Studio itself.

Unable to see External HANA Repository view

Dear Experts,
I want to create a HANA views from BEx Query and followed the steps:
Create Query snapshot index via RSDDB--> Quey as infoprovider Tab --> Release Query as infoprovider -->click on create button. --> SAP HANA/BWA Settings Tab -->enable the External HANA Repository view -->Activate and fill index
But I didn't see the option "External HANA Repository view for reporting" to before Activate and Fill Index,
please help me why that options not available for my query.

Can not use repository administration tool

Hello,
I'm a newby at Oracle Designer and I have a problem create a repository for Oracle Designer.
On my computer I have installed the following software:
x Java SDK & JRE 6
x Oracle Database 10g R2
x Oracle Designer 10.
While I'm installing Oracle Designer the OUI says that it can't find Java JRE but the installation completes.
If I want to use Designer with the hr-schema it says I have to create a repository for the user hr.
If I want to open the repository administration tool nothing happens nothing. If I want to open the repository command line tool it says that it can't find ORACLE_HOME but I have set the environment variable ORACLE_HOME to the database home c:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1.
I presume that I have to install the complet Developer Suite. Is this correct or does anybody know the answer?

Yes you have to install the complete Developer suite for Windows. Then you will need to install a repository on an existing database.
Here are some quick instructions on doing that:
After you install the IDS 10G in a new oracle home on the Client windows PC you will find the intall manual under:

Before installing Designer Repository on an Oracle 9i or 10.2 database, you need to set up the installation workstation to use the Oracle 9i or 10.2 import and export utilities. To do so, perform the following steps at the workstation from which you will be running the repository installation:
From the Oracle 9i or 10.2 installation media, install the Oracle 9i or 10.2 import and export utilities in a dedicated Oracle home.
In the Windows Registry, locate the key named:

where HOMEn is the home number of the home installed into for a multiple Oracle home environment, but is not present where the default Oracle home is being used.

Unable to connect to Master Repository - AE Tool

We are implementing LSO and are on the latest version of 604. Initially we had an approach to save the courses to SAP KM. Everything worked fine until we decided to use a new Content Management Server (CMS). The BASIS team has setup the CMS properly and have successfully tested it.
They have created a file system in an ECC System and have requested to use the URL http://<QA ECC>:1090/saplsq/lsqcs/contrep/Z_LSO_CONTENT
I would also like to mention that the BASIS team have setup the Z_LSO_CONTENT repository in OAC0 with a Staorage Type as "HTTP COntent Server'. Under CMSADMIN, I am able to see things OK for this repository.
When I run this URL on the browser, I can see the files and folders.
But I am unable to connect to this folder from the Repository explorer tool.
I get the below error message.

The BASIS team forgot to turn on the Web DAV feature on the Apache server on which the Content Server was installed.
Issue solved.

Translation Tools problem

Hy,
Can any one tell me how to make the translation tools to work.
When i open P7900 (Translation Tool) no tools are available in what is guess should be a tree of tools, when i press the "Sugestions" button i get this error:
*"Unable to retrieve Business View information - Application P7910S"*

SAP HANA XS Administration Tool Missing

The SAP HANA XS Administration Tool seems to be missing from our HANA AWS instance. The various roles associated with XS Administration are also missing.
The best theory I can come up with is that it has something to do with our upgrade path. Version 52 was originally installed in August. We upgraded to Version 69 in February.
I've scanned the release notes and it looks like the tool may have been introduced in SPS06.
Did we miss something during the Version 69 upgrade? If so, does anyone know how to fix this?

Maybe you can try to import the DU manually. Open your SAP HANA Studio, File -> Import -> SAP HANA Content -> Delivery Unit -> Choose your SAP HANA system, then select the file like the following. Hope it will help.

JCo3Proxy.logonSapi(String) Error during Initial Load of BW HANA Repository

I am attempting to create a connection to a BH HANA system and get the following error:
Error occurred in JCo3Proxy.logonSapi(String):
com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (102) JCO_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Initialization of destination BWHANA failed
The repository was created just like all other ABAP repositories. I can use the GUI to log in without issue. This is an odd one.
Its important to know this is repository DOES NOT point to the actual HANA DB, but to the BW ABAP connected system.

Hello Andrew,
looks like an error with the login trough the IDM.
It would be essential to mention which version of IDM you are using and pobably a screenshot of the repository configuration. Also have in mind that it is better not to use dialog user for the IDM - BW integration.
What repository type you are using?
If you want direct HANA DB connection you should use the repo type SAP HANA - the configurations there are slightly different than the standard ABAP repository ones.
Please check the following in the ABAP Repo constansts:
a) JCO_CLIENT_ASHOST - try with full hostname, sometimes it is not resolved correctly
b) JCO_CLIENT_SYSNR - make sure you get the right value here, same systems using different DBs have different client system nymbers
c) JCO_CLIENT_CLIENT - the client used for the connection
d) JCO_CLIENT_USER - the user used for the connection, as i said it might not be a dialog user.
