Hand pointer change to a finger pointer

I have this issue with some PDF files, and I'm using Adober Reader X. Basically in some file, the normal hand tool is used to 'grab' and move the page I'm reading. What happen is that in some file, at some text, the hand change to finger and point and if I click it (I was trying to grab and move the page at that text part) it jump to a selected section. I do not want to enable this future. This is very annoying (reminds me of the annoying Adobe Reader 7 feature). Disabling 'make hand tool read text' does not work. I think its the bookmark thingy thing, when you click on a line in the table of content, it jumps to that corrspond page.
In my case, I have no idea why, but the authors (more than 1 file) randomly apply in the text, so most of the time I try to grab to move the page, it will just jump to a certain location. And its not even a big document, its less than 20 pages at most. Again, it may not necessarily have anything to do with Bookmark feature. But still there's bookmark for every paragraph and figures in the files.

This is a link (or other action). Just like on a web page, same job - move to a link on this page to see.
Nothing to do with bookmarks. Probably just a very heavily linked file.

In addition, could you try disabling hardware acceleration to see if that makes any impact?
How do I disable or enable hardware acceleration?

when a rollover occurs, assign pointer_mc's _visible property to false and your hand pointer's _visible property to true and start dragging your hand pointer.
when a rollout occurs, assign pointer_mc's _visible property to true, your hand pointer's _visible property to false and start dragging pointer_mc.

if u want to change the cursor on Image than two property u have to change <......buttonMode="true" useHandCursor="true".....> OR if u want to change the cursor on label than u have to change <......buttonMode="true" useHandCursor="true" mouseChildren="false".....>
OR u can set the mouseOVER event and handler in that u can change the cursor of that ..
U have two options if u want to keep seprate code then 2nd one is good for u......I hope it will help u ......

Hand tool changes to article pointer

I've read that when someone creates a pdf file with an article, this is what causes the Hand Tool to change in appearance and move/zoom the page when you click anywhere. This is one of the most annoying 'features' I've ever come across. I prefer to use the Hand Tool to pull the page exactly where I want it to be, rather than scrolling with the wheel, and every time I click my page jumps and zooms from where I was at. I cannot see how this would be useful in any setting, let alone as a default. Is there any way I can override this? I'm using Adobe Reader 9, not the full pro version.
This wouldn't be quite so obnoxious, but it zooms the page so large that it requires horizontal scrolling to read it all. If anyone knows an solution, please share!

Kinect for Windows v2 Hand Pointer Gestures

Hi, how can I use Kinect for Windows v2 WPF control ? I would like to write some app which will use a hand and finger pointer. I saw that this is possible in Windows Store application but I want to write in WPF. Is it possible ? I think I should use a
KinectRegion and KinectUserViewer but I don't know how I can use it in WPF project.

Cursor changes to a finger in a box while in Thuderbird. I change it and it keeps coming back.

While in Thunderbird my cursor keeps changing to a pointing finger in a box. When I change it to a regular pointer it keeps changing back.

Is this about clicking a link in an external program?

Select tool/Hand tool - Changing default preferences

I am using Adobe Reader 9.1.3 and everytime I open a document, the mouse cursor is always "select tool". Even if I change it to "hand tool", the next time I would open the same or even anyother document it would again be "select tool". I need it to remain as "hand tool" everytime should I open the document.
I tried searching for a sort of default preference but couldnt find any. Tried searching for any old thread but there is one which is for version 8 and doesnt help at all. I cannt find the preference directory in version 9.

Try going at Edit - Preferences - General and there select the option "Make Hand Tool select Images and Text".

Multitasking button changed to four-finger gesture like in MacBook

Wouldn't it be nice if the default multitasking home button can be replaced by the four-finger gesture command, as in MacBook? This will increase the life of the frequently used home button and more user friendly too ^_^

Assuming you're talking about the hand-pointer cursor, you
need to set three properties (useHandCursor, mouseChildren and
buttonMode), as the attached example shows.
If you want to use a cursor besides the default pointer,
hand-pointer or busy cursor, then you need to dig further into
using the CursorManager. It's a little bit of extra work but it's
not too bad;

Pointer turned into a link hand, and I cannot click anything

I cannot seem to find the keyboard hotkey that will allow my cursor to become an arrow again. My dog stepped on my computer and it's permanently a hand pointer (link pointer). No idea how to fix it without a reboot - but I don't want to do that yet.

I had three of these come to me in the past couple of days. All of the issues were pretty close to the same. One of them, the pointer lagged while trying to use it. The click would work. Another computer, the pointer would lag and the click did not work. I tried all of the above options and it would work, but only for awhile. I replaced all three of the computers track pads and it resolved the issue for all three.
