Handheld device out of network.

Hi Experts,
In SAP WM, we are using computer handheld device(No HU management). My question is If device is out of network, how data will be captured.
Regards
Shakir

Hi Maria,
it is not possible, to work with the handheld device without network connectivity.
You have to be "online" connected to SAP, to use RF transactions like LM00, etc.
There are of course solutions, that span the offline time by holding the connection, so you can continue work directly when the device is back online (unlike SAPGUI, where you have to logon again).

  • I have a device that shows up in my airplay device list on my iMac, and my phone.  This device does not exist.  How do I get it out of the list? I would like to drop it before I add new airplay devices to my network.

    I have a device that shows up in my airplay device list in iTunes, and on my iPhone that does not exist.  How do I delete it? I have OS X 10.10.1 on my iMac, and iOS 8.1.2 on my iPhone 5.  I would like to get it out before I add new airplay devices to my network.

    I called Apple tech support.  The device turns out to be a WiFi extender.  I never would have guessed that the extender would show up on the list since I wouldn't think of it as an airplay device, and in the list, it shows a little speaker icon.  In the process of talking with Apple, I gained a greater understanding of how airplay works.
    It turns out that there is no stored list of devices in a file on the mac, or anywhere else.  I have seen a lot of traffic on the web from people trying to modify this list, but there isn't one.  iTunes, and other devices simply poll the network for airplay devices from time to time.
    Have a very happy holiday!
    I would like to get rid of "just give me the aster, and stop wasting my time", and replace it with my name.  The Apple tech support guy never saw that before.  Just my luck.

  • Java for handheld devices ... ?

    I believe the J2ME addresses my question ...
    Nevertheless, how can I figure out which handheld devices support the J2ME??
    I would be considering Ipaq h1940 or h2210.
    thanx

    so what other java edition would work on a mobile device that
    has a JVM then?! Why would it have a JVM if not to support J2SE
    or J2ME?Possibly a ripped-off version of J2ME. Or some weird combination of the J2SE packages. Maybe J2SE without reflection and networking. Or whatever.
    Just the fact that a device runs a JVM does not have any implication on the provided class libraries. I would have thought that was obvious since you seem to know java.

  • Safari of my Macbook (on WiFi) suddenly fails to connect to the Internet.  A popup window message says another device on the network is using my computer's IP address.

    But then there was still no Internet access even after I have disconnected all other home computers (a total of four including the Macbook and one iMac desktop.  For simplicity, I shall categorically called them Mac hereafter unless otherwise specified.  The Macs are operating on WiFi.).
    The window message recommends changing the IP of either the Macs or the other device.  The latter of course does not apply because I don't think the other device is one of my computers.
    My questions:
    (1) Why did that happen suddenly since the Mac and other computers on the WiFi was working fine in the morning (as well as days before) and then all of a sudden an unknown device is using my computer's IP?  As far as I (we) can remember, we did not do any thing unusual this morning nor had we downloaded any special programs.
    (2) How do I change the IP since it requires Internet acess to do it and since I can't access the Internet on the Mac?
    (3) I am almost sure the problem is not caused by the Internet service because when I connected the Ethernet cable from the DSL modem to an old Windows PC, I got Internet via Internet Explorer.  [I am actually sending out this message via IE on my PC.]  However, when I cennected the Ethernet line from the modem to a WiFi router (Airport Extreme) and then connect the router and the old PC, I did not get Internet on either the Mac nor the PC.  Similarly, there was no Internet on both Mac and PC If I connect Ethernet only between the modem and the router but not between PC and router.  So, the question is whether a third unknown party has gotten hold of my Mac IP address and is trying to break into the Mac?  Can it steal my personal info?
    (4)  How can I repair the Mac now and prevent future recurrences?  Is changing the IP address the way to do it?  (But like I said before I had tried but could not change the IP because I did not have Internet access on the Mac.  Is there an alternative method?)
    (5) I wonder if a computer's IP address remains constant if you don't change it.  The reason I am asking this question is because the aforesaid window message on the Macbook--not sure about the iMac--shows a different IP address--a few numerical digits were changed--almost every time it pops up following every failure trial of mine to access the Internet.  Was the Macbook trying to change the IP for me or was there some thing not right?

    Re: Another device on the network is using your computer's IP address.
    This message/problem was occuring intermittently for me in a household with two MacBooks accessing one Airport extreme.  Rebooting the modem and router would only temporarily fix the issue for me, so I spoke with a friend who works for Apple and it seems that the Airport Extreme settings were at the root of our particular issue.
    The router(Airport Extreme) recieves only one IP address from the modem and in order to allow it to share the IP address with two computers at once, the solution in my case was through:
    Applications>Utilities>Airport Utility>Manual Setup>Internet
    under Internet Connection- Select "share a public IP address"
    under NAT, check the box for "enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol"
       (this will allow the sharing of one public IP address with multiple devices)
    if this is a new setting, then click "Update" and the Airport Extreme should reboot itself with new settings applied.
    When all else is working properly, this is a satisfactory solution in my case.

  • Macbook Air has the same IP address as another device on my network

    I recently connected airport extreme to my network,  and now I cannot connect to the Intenet from my MacBook Air. The error message I get is that another device on the network is using the same IP address (192.168.1.64) I also have a mcbook pro, which is working fine,  and whose IP address is 108.66.128.91, so I don't know which device has the duplicate IP address.
    Furthemore,  I can't connect to the new WiFi signal from my iPhone.  What do I need to do to fix these errors?

    I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
    Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
    Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
    Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
    Power-up your computer(s).
    If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
    Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
    While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
    After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
    Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
    Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.
    In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.

  • What is the best method for developing for Internet Explorer Mobile 6 on handheld devices?

    We have customers with various versions of IE Mobile on handheld devices, and I commonly come across peculiarities when customers view our web pages on these devices. I was wondering what would be the best way to test page layouts to make sure customers
    don't have issues. We currently check it on the two handheld devices we own, but this does not seem to be enough sometimes. Is there any sort of emulator available to view on the different versions available? Or would it be valid to set up a VM with a copy
    of IE 6 to verify page layout? Or is there a list of what CSS properties and selectors are actually available on the devices? I keep coming across some things that are supported, and others that are not, and I can't make any sense out of why some CSS2 things
    are, but others aren't. And even then this seems to change per device.

    I'm already testing using IE7 mode with IE11. It is quite nice, but the handheld devices still do not display anything like IE7 does. More specifically the devices are running Windows Mobile 6~6.5 (I'm not positive), but that lists IE Mobile 6 as running
    on that; furthermore, it seems the closest desktop browser is IE6. Which is much different than IE7.
    Once I get the handheld the company owns back, someone else is using it for testing atm, I plan to run through a short script to see what CSS properties it supports. And try to figure out how to access the version information for the browser.
    var testElement = document.createElement('table'),
    jsTestsElement = document.getElementById('jsTests');
    jsTestsElement.innerHTML = '<ul>';
    for(var name in testElement.style){
    jsTestsElement.innerHTML += '<li>'+name+'</li>';
    jsTestsElement.innerHTML += '</ul>';
    Otherwise all I've got at the moment is the user agent string: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile 6.5)
    Which has led me to old blog posts and what I find confusing information that doesn't seem to show me what CSS it supports. I'm more interested in styling than developing new web pages currently.

    I agree. In my opinion Sun has done a horrible job documenting all this madness for the average developer just starting out with this stuff. There is the CLDC, J2ME, Personal Java, J2ME-WTK, MIDP, MIDP-FCS ... maddness. Anyway after sorting through it all for a few days, I think the answer to your question you will need to use Personal Java for WinCE and the Sharp Zaurus, and MIDP for PalmOS for the palm. Jeode seems to be the most common and best Personal Java implementation and it is basically the JDK1.2.2 (or is it 1.1.8) that is designed to run on WinCE and Embeddix (such as Lineo on the Zaurus). You program it just like you would a 1.1.8 application and then you can test it by running pjava.exe which is included in the personal java 3.1 download from Sun. There is also a program called JavaCheck that will ensure that your app will run properly in PersonalJava. As for the Palm, MIDP for PalmOS is a 574K program that installs on your palm device. You then use the J2ME-WTK (wireless toolkit) to build a JAR/JAD file and you use the MIDP API to write the code.

  • Airport Express dolling out different networks

    Consider our airport express that, according to the airport express utility, shows the 10.0.1.x network as the LAN configured for DHCP for connecting computers.  Despite this apparent configuration, my macbook air receives an address on the 192.168.x.x network, while at the exact same time, the Dell Inspiron receives an address on the 10.0.1.x network.  The macbook is allowed through to the internet via it's 102.168.254.1 gateway received from the airport, while the Dell, though it can ping the 10.0.1.1 gateway is also receives from the airport, is not allowed onto the internet.  Temporary fix was to manually configure the Dell with an IP address on the 192.168.x.x network.  Power re-set of airport, computers, and DSL modem do nothing.  I haven't seen any other posts to this issue.  Anyone, anyone, Bueler?  Many thanks.

    I can find info on a Siemens Speedstream 4200. Is this the device that you have?
    This device is a modem/router that is providing DHCP and NAT services. By default, this device hands out IP addresses to clients in the 192.168.x.x. range.
    So, a device that connects to your 4200 gets a 192.168.x.x IP address. The manual for the 4200 confirms this:
    SpeedStream Router - Optus Internet Help
    The Apple routers use the 10.0.1.x range by default. Any devices that connect to the Apple are getting 10.0.1.x range IP addresses.
    Even if you do not have the exact version of the 4200 in the link above, based on the info that you have provided, you do have two devices on the network, both provding DHCP and NAT services.  You only want one device on a network acting as a router delivering DHCP and NAT service.
    The AirPort needs to be configured in Bridge Mode to take it out of router mode so that any devices that connect to the AirPort will receive the same 192.168.x.x IP addresses as devices that connect to the 4200.

    First I have separated your request/inquiry because it was added to a message that was over 2 years old.  Seems you went to a "shop", and got blocked from assessing needed files.   You did not state the error message. Was it permissions?   Can you right click on the excel file, change the "Share with" ?

    Although that may be true...
    If I click the "Connect As..." button it asks for a username and password.
    I've experienced connecting to other user's computers on a network.  To gain access to their computer, I just use their username and password.  I've done this before to transfer files without using a flash drive or burned disk.
    I'm trying to find out what I'm supposed to log on as to gain access to this device...
         My point is that yes, I'm connected to it by wifi.  Otherwise it wouldn't show up; ha-ha!
    Is my point really that hard to grasp?

  • WIFI issue: error Another device on the network is using your computer's IP address

    Since installing Yosemite I am kicked out of the network on a regular basis. Originally this only happened when on Skype which is bloody annoying but now it happens all the time. Each time I receive the error message:
    Another device on the network is using your computer’s IP address
    Is there anything I can to to fix this. For example I cannot find which other device is doing this.
    regards

    If it on DHCP its a bit odd that you get that message(that your router rejecting giving you the IP its giving you kind of thing or your mac seeing another machine( a ghost)-which would be consistent(after all it nearly that time of year) There is a  long thread on here with several wifi resolve solutions including the SMC reset(which people had to do for Mavericks so its not really something new. A lot of people seems to have been able to reset things and get a stable wifi and everything settles down for them.

  • Interface between SAP and Handheld device

    Hi Experts,
    We want to build an interface using SAP Console, Telnet server with Handheld device which will be used in WM Application.
    I would like to know how this will work in offline mode. I mean to say, if suppose handheld device is in area where their is no connectivity and user make some transaction on his handheld device, how this will be synchronized with SAP. Will we require any middleware to support interface in offline mode or their will be any local data base on handheld device which will store and push data from device to SAP once device come back into network.
    If you worked under such an interface then please reply with your valuable comments.
    Thanks In Advance.
    Regards,

    Hi Amit,
    Thankx for reply, Could you please let me know how this will work from SAP > Handheld device > SAP using middleware in middle.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hello,
    I need help, my Media Player is not working right.  I keep getting this message; code 10:  device cannot start Network Adapters.  Please help, I tried to reinstall Windows Media Player 11, I even deleted the one on my laptop it kept saying it was still there.  I went in to the Device Managers and to Network Adapters, there is one that shows it is not working properly, Toredo tunneling.

    hey DTTODGG,
    since you have uninstalled the drivers under device manager, were you able to use the "update drivers" ?
    Anyway, is your system running on Win7 .. if it is, I believe that Win7 should have installed some generic drivers for you.
    Also could you check under the properties of your Network Adapter, is the device enabled ? If it isn't, enable it.
