Handling insurance of Assets in SAP ECC6

Hi all,
Anybody like to share how insurance of assets is being handled in your organization?
For this purpose, our practice for handling insurance of assets is through MS Excel. But I'm sure there should be some room for insurance of assets within SAP.
There is a package of mySAP Insurance, but thats specifically for insurance companies. What organizations requirement is different than what insurance companies have. I'm sure, any expert would surely highlight.
The insurance related information in Assets Master Data (AS03) might be for such purpose. I searched for the solution in Enhancement Packages as well but didn't find any.

In tge masterdata from the asset you have a tab Insurance. You can make these field optional. Based on unsuarance requerement you can set uo rules in SAP:

SAP ECC6 memory and paging issues

Dear Experts
I have recently upgraded my 4.6C systems to an ECC 6 system (DB2 LUW 9.5 on AIX 5.3 TL9 64 Bit OS)
I have been running the LPAR with 14 GB of memory and we are around 100-200+ users using the system, I was monitoring using nmon and found that Physical Memory was around 99.8% Used   (14311.8MB and 22.6MB was free) also the paging space was around 37.2% in result causing the system at times to run slow which can have a very negative effect on the users.
After further investigation I found that after a system restart the Physical Memory would start around 50.9% and increased at a steady pace until it reached 99.8% that is when the system would start using the paging space which would steadily increase, I found that the only solution was a system restart at least once a week to reduce the memory consumption.
At first glance it looked like a database manger memory leak with the process db2sysc, so I searched the net with the search words u201Cdb2 memory leaku201D and found the following APARs and notes.
APAR JR30285 - Pervasive memory leak when compiling SQL statements that use SQL/XML functions
APAR IZ35230 - There is a pervasive unix-specific private memory leak in the security component
Note 1288341 - Memory leak in APPLHEAPSZ -> SQL0954C
Note 1352361 - Memory leak in shared memory area abrfci
Note 1147821 - DB6: Known Errors and available Fixes in DB2 9.5 LUW
After reading the notes and APARs I decided to updated DB2 to the latest fix pack (5SAP), but after the fix pack was implemented it did not solve the memory problem
I started look at different problems with SAP ECC6, db2 and AIX with paging/memory problems and I found the following notes to do with AIX memory and paging but none of them helped as all parameters and settings were set accordingly
789477 - Large extended memory on AIX (64-bit) as of Kernel 6.20
191801 - AIX 64-bit with very large amount of Extended Memory
973227 - AIX Virtual Memory Management: Tuning Recommendations
884393 - AIX saposcol consumes large amount of memory.
856848 u2013 AIX Extended Memory Disclaiming
1048686 u2013 Recommended AIX settings for SAP
1121904 u2013 SAP on AIX: Recommendations for Paging
1086130 u2013 DB6: DB2 Standard Parameter Settings
After even more investigation I found the following evidence suggesting AIX Virtual Memory Manager might have a problem

How to create an infotype in sap ecc6.0 ?

I know i how to create an infotype in sap 4.7, but i am facing the problem while
creating an infotype in sap ecc6.0 version. could u plz provide me the info with screen shots how to create an infotype and how to enhace that infotype ?

Hi ,
To create OM infotype:
1. Go to SE11 and create a structure HRI9XXX (9XXX --> name of the infotype). Add the required fields to this structure and save and activate. then come out of it.
2. Go to PPCI and enter Infotype number (9XXX) and description.
3. Click create.
4. In the infotype category select details for the infotype.
5. Click create button. It should create the infotype.
6. Click on Check. A window with menu will open.
7. In that window navigate to Table Entries.
8. Under table Entries, select T777I and click on change.
9. It opens SM30. Click on Maintain.
10. Select the infotype and add information for "Time Constraint" and "Infotype Per Object Type".
11. Save.
12. Go back to check menu, see if all entries exist. Do not worry last 5 table entries. And you are done

Windows requirements for SAP ECC6 EhP7

Hi experts,
we want to install SAP ECC6 EhP7 on Windows Server (2008 or above). I've already checked on the PAM its feasability, with Kernel 7.40. The DB would be Oracle 11.2.0.4.
I've found that for hardware that: 4 CPU ~2GHz each with 10 Gb Memory and 500 Gb Disk is the minimum (tell me if I'm wrong), but now I'm more interested in the software part.
So I'm trying to find info about windows package (language and else) necessary for SAP ECC6.0 EhP7 installation. I tried to find notes about it but in vain...
Could you give me some tips ?

SAP Ecc6.0 Installation error during ABAP Import Phase 20 of 24

While I am installing SAP ECC 6.0 with Original DVD. I am getting some Issues.
I had finished upto 4 stpes . and after that IMPORT ABAP, showing error in " Log files are written to C: Program files:sapinst......"
Please Retry , View Log & Stop.
I am clicking Retry again it will be come same issue. Please Let me know.
Log Files Name - "ABAP Processors of Instances SID\DVEMGS00"

Still I am getting same problem in mine SAP ECC6.0 Installation.
In Abap Instance Phase 20 of 24. Error in ABAP Instance. I check the mmc.
Disp+work is in Gray Color. Remainiing Server Green Color. After Few minutes it will stopped in Work Process.
Still Going Installation for same Process.

EDI - 753Routing Request and 754 Routing Instructions transactions- what SAP ECC6 EDI output type, msg type, msg code, basis idoc is best practice to generate the idoc?

One of our Trading Partner wishes to implement the 753 Routing Request and 754 Routing Instructions. Can anyone give me best practice answer the following Questions? We are on SAP ECC6 R3
What Application? i.e. V2, V7?
What output condition to use? i..e. LALE, LAT2, SEDI????
What Message type? i.e SHPADV?
What Basic Idoc Type? i.e SHPMNT05?
What Message Code? i.e. SHPM?
What Process Code? i.e. SHPM??
What Function Module? i.e. IDOC_OUTPUT_SHPMNT??
Does the SAP Transpotation Module have to be configured for this to be implemented?

While I did not get any responses from my question, yes, I was able to determine what needed to be configured. I hope the below will help you: This is for SAP ECC6
The output application for the 753 Routing Request is "V7"
The output type is "SEDI"
Transmission medium is "6"
The Basic Idoc type is "Shipmnt05"
when setting up your Partner Profile (WE20) add:Message Partner Role "SP" with Message type "SHPADV', Message coed "753", Basic Type "SHPMNT05", Message Control add Application "V7", Message type "SEDI", Process Code "SHPM".

I have not configured the Inbound 754. For now the inbound 754 Routing Instructions will be emailed to our traffic department.

Stock Report in Sap ecc6

Dear Team,
I was previously using Russian J3RFLVMOBVED in Sap ecc6. It was working fine for the last two years for stock valuation quantity & Value wise. From Jan 2012 this report is showing Negative Stock in the report. For this i consulted ABAP for the check the values source (from which table these negative values are arising) in table MBEW & BSIM. These values also didn't existed in the Table mentioned above. Can any one advice me for this problem?
Also can any one provide me alternative report in sap ecc-6 for Stock quantities & Values on specified dates along with the sub locations.
Secondly is there any standard report for Material Aging?

I have checked mb5b its not addressing my issue as its showing valuated stock without location & Batches. I have checked S_POO_07000139, ITS ALSO SHOWING Valuated Stock without Batch Plant & Location wherease MC.1 & other MC Tcodes. They are showing valuated stock without batches material code & Description in a summarized form.
I need this stock report for the stock count on month End in a summarized form.
Please advice any other solution.

How to calculate freight,handling,insurance charges for PO

I need to show the details of PO with tax and freight,handling,insurance charges for purchase order. I calculated the tax amount of PO using CALCULATE_TAX_ITEM. but i don't know to calculate the freight and those charges. Guide me what table i have to be use or any other function module is there to calculate those charges. KONV is the table for conditions. how can i fetch those charges from these table using ebeln and ebelp fields.

First you have to select Doc condition number (KNUMV) for each PO from EKKO table...then for the same KNUMV run KONV....here against each KNUMV-KPOSN (here KPOSN = EBELP)you will find the condition types & value...in the rport i think you have to hardcoat the condition types

Webdynpro ABAP ALV in SAP ECC6 - EHP4: To disable Column Selection

We are using SAP ECC6 EHP4 and for Webdynpro ABAP application, after each column a vertical white line is appearing, and I need to hide this..
SAP suggested us to disable COLUMN SELECTION I have tried the below code but still I am not able to get this done..
Can you please suggest the appropriate method to achieve the same.

You have to disable the DDic binding on the column before your override text will show up:

SAP PI7.11 adapter RFC sender issue after migrating to SAP ECC6

Hi,
After the migration of our backend from SAP 4.700 x 200 to SAP ECC6 unicode (kernel 7.20)), we have a issue of connexion to our SAP PI 7.11.
A part of the field in ECC6 are not well mapped by the abapter sender RFC to the xml in PI.
I join a screen shot what I have in SAP ECC6 (inquiryECC6.jpg) and the result in SAP PI 7.11in xml format ofcourse (Inquiryxml.jpg).
Is there someone who can help me?

Maintain Authorization Field in SAP ECC6.0

Hello all,
Our SAP system has upgraded from SAP 4.7 to ECC6.0 recently. After upgrade, I find that the function Maintain
Authorization Field - SU20 cannot be launched.
When I run the T-code SU20, the maintain authorization fields screen does not appear and a message "Start of Application: Maintain Authorization Fields" flash one time in the message bar (bottom left corner at the SAP screen).
Can I ask how to maintain Authorization Field in SAP ECC6.0?
