Handling multiple calendar sources

How do I manage multiple calendars on the iPhone? I have an exchange server, caldav server, and the local calendar items. On my iPad there is a calendars button and I can tick on and off specific calendars and see their sources, just like iCal on the mac. I have not yet figured out how to do this on the iPhone. I would like to turn off specific calendars on the phone, but not remove the source entirely.

I forget to mention using 4.6c

  • How to make mod_wl_20 handle multiple weblogic sources

    Hi community,
    I'm configuring an Oracle HTTP Server as a proxy of multiple weblogic instances.
    For the case of the AdminServer, I modify httpd.conf as follow:
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    WebLogicHost myhost.example.com
    WebLogicPort 7001
    </IfModule>
    <Location /console>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    </Location>
    Now that I have configured 2 managed weblogic servers using port 8001 and 8002. How should I do so that both 2 managed weblogic servers are also proxied by the Oracle HTTP Server?
    Thanks,
    David

    Hello
    I suppose your managed nodes are located on address and port
    10.a.b.d:7001 and 10.a.b.e:7001
    and your admin is : 10.a.b.c:8001
    you can try this :
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    WebLogicCluster 10.a.b.d:7001,10.a.b.e:7001
    </IfModule>
    <Location /your_app>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    </Location>
    <Location /console>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WebLogicCluster 10.a.b.c:8001
    </Location>
    It should work for you , it works for me . . . .

  • Source of Multiple Calendars in Outlook 2007 and iCloud (iOS7.0.4)

    Source of Multiple Calendars in Outlook 2007 and iCloud (iOS7.0.4)
    My  iPhones (2) and iPad list the following color-coded calendar names when the word "Calendar" is pressed at the bottom of the calendar screen:  All iCloud (no colored dot), Calendar (Blue Dot),  Home (orange Dot), Saved emails (red dot), and Saved emails (2)( green dot).
    Calendar items created on both iPhones are coded with a blue dot and appear on a blue background in iCloud and on the phones.  Calendar items created  on my iPad appear on a green background (saved emails 2)  on my iPad and my iphones. Why isn't the color "Blue"? It appears that entries made on Outlook appear in Saved Emails (red).
    I have not imported or connected with any external calendars.
    This behavior raises the following questions:
    1)  Should entries created  on each device appear in a different color?
    2)  Does the color associated with an entry designate a specific device or a specific type of device?
    3)  Which device is the "Home" device referred to in paragraph 1 above?
    4)  Why would a Calendar be named with a reference to "saved emails"? From where would it come.
    My understanding about synching with iCloud was that any entry from any iDevice (phone or pad)  or iCloud would appear in both iCloud and  in the calendars of all devices on the same  Apple Account.  Please confirm my understanding or correct it.
    With iCloud as the hub, must I still utilize Microsoft Outlook?  I am retired and no longer need Outlook for work.
    Can I edit any calendar entry in I cloud had have it change it in all the devices, or must it be edited in the device in which the entry was originally made?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I would ditch Outlook like a bad habit.
    Now to answer your questions starting at the bottom.  yes, you can edit any and all iCloud Calendars on iCloud.com.  You can rename your calendars, re-color them, create, edit or delete events, etc.
    So you asked a question on why your calendars are named 'saved emails'.  This sounds like something that would be created from Outlook since you can send email to the calendar in Outlook.  If you quit using outlook, you can simply rename the calendars to something more sensible or delete them entirely.
    About calendar colors.  Each calendar you (or your mail program on your behalf) has created gets assigned a name and color.  Each color helps your identify which calendar and event belongs to.  When you create a new event from your iOS device or iCloud.com, you will find a handy little section that says 'calendar' where you can specify to which calendar (or color) you want that event to be on.  You will also find this option when tapping and editing and event on the iOS devices or icloud.com.  If you want all of your devices to default to the same calendar when creating a new event, on your iOS devices go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Scroll to the section that says 'Calendar' in gray (its at the very bottom) and change the 'default calendar' to whatever you want the defualt to be.  You can also change the default in iCloud.com by clicking the gear icon.
    My recommendation: 1) Ditch Outlook. Go to your Control Panel > iCloud and uncheck Outlook. 2) Move all of your events to one or two calendars.  if you don't have a need for multiple calendars, just simplify your life and move them all to one calendar.  You can edit the event and change the calendar, then go back and delete the other calendars that are confusing you with all the different colors.  You can rename, recolor, create and delete calendars form your iOS device by tapping calendar in the bottom of the screen when in the calendars app then tap edit in the top left.  You can also do these same things on iCloud.com  Where ever is easiest for you will work.

  • Calendar app that handles multiple Google calendars?

    Can anyone recommend a calendar app that handles multiple Google calendars in a single account, including one of what  Google's desktop web site shows as  "My calendar" calendar plus one "Other calendar" calendar?
    Thanks.

    Calendar can have two or more calendars calendars listed at the same time.
    Each can be a different color for identifidation.
    The first screenshot shows that the Medical and Joint calendars are shared calendars.
    Will that work for you?

  • IE running under XP can't handle multiple SWF files, Why?

    I noticed that IE 8 running under Windows XP cannot handle multiple swf files in one page.
    Up to about 10 files is no problem they are loaded and we can play them ( buttons that start a small audio file).
    But more of these files in one page will stop IE.
    Firefox ( 3.6.28) runs them fine.
    And also IE 8 and/or Firefox under Windows 7 handles them perfectly.
    Has anyone any idea what can cause this and how to resolve this?
    Thanks,

    Sorry...I still don't get it. What is it about Windows FUS that keeps iTunes from running running the process twice? It can run many other non-Apple windows apps in multiple user sessions (commercial apps, open source apps, audio/video apps, networked apps). I can even run two different virtual machines at the same time under two different user sessions.
    Why can iTunesHelper.exe run twice but iTunes.exe cannot? Why can I run Safari at the same time? Quicktime Player runs fine under multiple user sessions.
    Blaming it on Windows and/or FUS sounds like FUD. Can anyone give a valid technical reason? Semaphores? Mutexes? An admission (and explanation) that the Windows version is purposely crippled?

  • How to setup Multiple calendar in 7.9.6 OBIA

    Friends, Could some one please explain me what this 'Multiple Calendar' option is, in 7.9.6. There is not much Information in Config guide with this regard.
    My Question is, does 'Multiple Calendar option' means 7.9.6 supports different calendars but one at a time or does it support more than one calendar at a time in the application.
    Where I'm coming from is, our source is EBS and some Business users want OBIA calendar to be same as EBS so that they can see Adjustment Periods as well..but on the other side they also want Weekly Analysis..which is not present in EBS (our EBS is configured with 445 calendar with Adjustments...so lowest is periods) ..so not sure how to go about this.
    is there is a possibility of using EBS Sourced Claendar( Enterprise) as well as another 445 calendar which will give us week level analysis capabilities? Lets say it allows different calendars at a time..then how does it work?..does it pre-aggregates for different calendars?..please explain.
    Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • About sync multiple calendar to outlook

    I would like to ask the result of sync multiple calendar from iPhone IOS 6.x to outlook issue.
    Our users are using Outlook 2010 and had a primary mailbox for their own mailbox, and a shared mailbox for the Shared Calendar issue.
    The iPhone had multiple Calendar there, if the user use itune to sync the calendar to Outlook 2010:
    Will the multiple calendar combine into one calendar in Outlook 2010 and classified by Categories?
    Which Outlook calendar will the iPhone calendars sync to Outlook 2010? Sync only to Primary mailbox or to both Primary mailbox and the shared caolendar?
    On the other hand, as the Outlook 2010 has a primary mailbox and a shared mailbox, how would itune handle to sync the calendar to iPhone?
    Please kindly help.

    Hello littleoski,
    After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning backing up data:
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
    Back up
    To back up the content on your iOS device, follow these steps:
    Make sure your computer has the latest version of iTunes.
    Connect your iOS device to your computer.
    Choose File > Devices > Back up.
    If you're using iTunes 10.7 or earlier, right-click the device from the list and choose Backup Now.
    Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

  • How to handle multiple clients with DatagramSocket

    I am trying to handle multiple clients with 1 datagramSocket bind to one port (basically I have only one port to use, and I can not use TCP or any other ports). At the server side I have two threads one for receiving packets and buffering them, another for processing the packets in the buffer and sending replies.
    I can have multiple clients sending datagramPackets to me and I will have to process the packets and send them to DIFFERENT clients. Ex. Client 1 sends datagramPacket to Server which sends the processed packet to Client 2. Also Client 2 sends a datagramPacket to Server which again processes the packet and sends it to Client1. May have Client 3 and 4 doing the same thing at the same time... and so on...
    My root class is creating the datagramSocket(somePort) and two threads (receiver and sender). How can I use the socket that I created in these two threads??
    I have done the following and I am getting "java.net.bindexception". When I am sending stuff from Client1 to Client2 everything is fine but when I start sending something from Client2 to Client 1, I get the bindexception... Client 1 is using port 3000, Client 2 is using port 4000.
    I really don't have a lot of experience in socket programming so I am not sure if there is a much simpler way to do this. I appreciate all the tips and help that I can get...
    Thanks...
    class UDP_serv
         static DatagramSocket udpSocket;
         final static int SERVER_PORT     = 2000;
         public static void main(String[] args) throws SocketException
              udpSocket= new DatagramSocket(SERVER_PORT);
              new DataReceiver().start ();
              new DataSender().start ();
         static class DataReceiver extends Thread
              DataReceiver()
                   Thread.currentThread().setName("DataReceiver");
              public void run()
                   while (true)
                        byte pckt[] = new byte [MaxMsgSize];
                        DatagramPacket dp = new DatagramPacket (pckt, pckt.length);
                        try
                             udpSocket.receive (dp);
                             //PUSH TO RECEIVE BUFFER
                        catch(Exception e)
                             e.printStackTrace();
         static class DataSender extends Thread
              DataSender()
                   Thread.currentThread().setName("DataSender");
              public void run()
                   while (true)
                        processDataMsg();
          static void processDataMsg()
             DatagramPacket op;
             InetAddress DA = null;
             int DP = 0;
             byte [] outPacket = null;
             // POP FROM RECEIVE BUFFER
             // SOME PROCESSING HERE
             // Set Destination Address (DA)
             // Set Destination Port (DP)
             // DA and DP are the forwarding IP and Port addresses
             // not the addresses original packet was sent from.
             try
              op = new DatagramPacket (outPacket, outPacket.length,DA, DP);
              udpSocket.send(op);
             catch (IOException e)
              e.printStackTrace();
    }Also for development and testing purposes, I am running the two clients and the server on the same machine (windows xp-32b) so all of the Destination IP Addresses are 127.0.0.1. and as I said Ports that I am using are 2000, 3000, 4000 (Server, Client1, Client2).

    Hmm I have minimized the code and it seems to be working now.
    I think I have an error in the header portion of the data I am sending, where I am storing the source IP/Port and destination IP/Port. I think the server in the middle is messing these values up while sending them to the destination Client. Because the destination client actually receives the stuff and sends the reply back to the server, but the reply packet's headers has 0/0 as the dest IP / Port...
    Server is giving me java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address error when it tries to forward the reply it received from the client2 as the address it is trying to send is 0!
    I guess it doesnt just give this error when you try to open two sockets to the same port...
    Paul, Thanks for the direction on how to proceed... took me a while get the minimized code but at least figured out the problem. Well still have to make sure that is THE problem though :)
    As far as the statics goes how can I change those to non static ones? Where do I make an instance of the top level class that creates the threads? and how do I pass the DatagramSocket to the threads/ if I dont need to pass how do I call or use the datagramSocket I created in the top level class? I mean do I still kinda have it like a global variable on the top?? A very simple example would be much appreciated...
    I think these might be really basic questions but I am having a rough time with the hierarchy in java...

  • How to handle multiple streams

    Hi
    I wanted to handle multiple source Streams with Player. do i need to create a each player for each Stream ?? how can i do that ??
    Thanks in Advance,
    Karthikeyan R

    It's not at all obvious what a SequenceOutputStream would do. The way to write lots of stuff over a socket is to wrap multiple output streams round sock.getOutputStream and flush each one when you've finished with it. (There may be issues with compressed / bit output streams).

  • Urgent : OBIA - Handling multiple Global, Local and Document Currencies

    All,
    I need input on how to configure multiple currency codes in DAC for OBIA 7.9.6.x
    My client's business goes around the the world and with multiple local currencies.They also need reporting currency to be multiple like in Euro, USD etc.
    I went through a couple of threads in this forum,like -
    Re: Configuring Global Currencies in BI Apps 7.9.6 for EBS 11.5.10 Source
    Re: How we are using Global, Local and Document Currencies  in DAC.
    But I have some confusion regarding the configuration of DAC's 3 Global currency codes.
    In order to fulfill my requirement - should I add additional codes in DAC?
    Basically How am I supposed to handle multiple Local,Document and Global currencies? And then possible changes in rpd/reports required also?
    Regards,
    Krish

    Currencies are discussed in the Setup and Configuration Guide here:
    7.1.1.2 How to Configure Global Currencies
    To configure the global currencies you want to report in your warehouse:
    In the DAC Client, display the Design view.
    For more information about logging into the DAC, see Section A.1, "How to Log Into the DAC Client".
    Select a container from the drop down list to the right of the Execute button.
    Display the 'Source System Parameters' tab.
    Locate the following parameters and set the currency code values for them in the 'Value' box:
    $$GLOBAL1_CURR_CODE (for the document currency).
    $$GLOBAL2_CURR_CODE (for the local currency).
    $$GLOBAL3_CURR_CODE (for the global currency).
    Make sure that you spell the currencies as they are spelled in your source OLTP system.
    Save your changes.
    As far as for PLP items, those are Post Load Processing elements that perform cleanup tasks after the Base Warehouse tables have been loaded. They should never be modified and frankly run without any issues provided the rest of the plan executes properly. Do you have a specific quesiton about a PLP?

  • How to publish multiple calendars into .mac?

    There doesn't seem to be an option to publish multiple calendars to .mac. Is ther ea way that I can have all my calendars in one ical (.mac) view? I don't want to have multiple ical pages online.
    thanks

    There is no way to maintain separate source calendars on a Macintosh desktop or portable machine and publish a single, unified calendar using .Mac or a WebDAV server. It simply does not work that way.

  • CFTransaction & Multiple data sources

    We have the need to update to multiple data sources under
    CFTransaction. We have two MSSQL databases so I was able to create
    a view in one to the other and that works (unless someone knows of
    a problem that could cause). But we also have a MSAccess db that
    gets hit too under the same CFTransaction. CF does not allow you to
    have multiple data sources under one CFTransaction. If all the
    tranasction control is on the db side, why does CF care if there
    are different data sources?
    Thanks.

    As I said in my original post, in order for a transaction to
    span multiple databases, you need to do what's called "2-phase
    commit" or "distributed transactions". This is not a trivial thing
    to do, nor is it something that is often needed (especially in
    Coldfusion, which is 99% of the time talking to a single database).
    Why do you need to do 2-phase commit? and why isn't it
    trivial?
    "2PC is an acronym for 2 Phase Commit. This is a protocol by
    which data being committed to a database is committed in two
    phases. In the first phase, the transaction processor checks that
    all parts of the transaction can be committed. In the second phase,
    all parts of the transaction are committed. If any part of the
    transaction indicates in the first phase that it cannot be
    committed, the second phase does not occur. ODBC does not support
    two-phase commits."
    http://docs.openlinksw.com/virtuoso/twopcimplementation.html
    I don't think Access supports 2-phase commit. Access isn't
    really intended for the kinds of things that need 2-phase commit,
    which Microsoft readily admits (hence MS SQL Server).
    > My thought is that it is not allowed because CF only
    remembers one data source per cftransaction therefore can only send
    one commit or rollback instruction. If that's the case, it sounds
    like a simple enhancement.
    No, this isn't allowed because distributed transactions is a
    non-trivial thing. This isn't all handled on the database side, as
    you reference. If you're dealing with one datasource, yes, it does.
    Once you pull in a 2nd datasource, you need something that can talk
    to all databases involved (a transaction coordinator) and 1) check
    to make sure everything can be committed safely then 2) commit
    everything (hence 2-phase commit).
    Basically, you're trying to do something that's non-trivial,
    you don't understand why it's non-trivial, so you're getting
    frustrated. I realize you're not a Java shop. I was simply trying
    to explain to you why it was non-trivial, and a method to work
    around that if you so desire.

  • How do I handle multiple users - iPad, 2 iPhones, itunes, 1 appleID?

    I need to get this right the first time and MUCH appreciate all tested help advice. I have exhaused the support site. About everything is directed at a single user, rather than "family".
    Existing Configuration:
    1 Apple ID
    1 iPad 3G/WiFi used by 2 users (one AppleID).
    Tons of iPad APPS.
    We both use the iPad extensively.
    2 iPad calendars (one for each user) in the Calendar application.
    On the iPad, MAIL checks our non-Apple email accounts (leaves messages on servers). We delete messages using the laptop. We don't care that we both see all our email if we want. We have numerous accounts.
    Have not used CALENDAR on iPad yet. I know it can have multiple calendars.
    Use same CONTACTS list.
    Synching done to a Windows 7 PC Laptop. Each user has seperate login.
    iTunes on PC set to shared directory so all users share same things when synched.
    Numerous CDs in iTunes via download or ripping.
    NEW: Am adding the following for the first time.
    2-each iPhone 4S 32Gb (one for each user) on order from Verizon. We are switching from other non-Apple phone types.
    I have not setup iCloud for either of us yet.
    DELTA:
    Both users switching to iPhone 4S which brings up settings and configuration questions.
    QUESTIONS:
    (1) What is the best way to configure and keep synched the iPad, PC, and iPhones synched to keep all this working properly.
    (2) Wouldn't a seperate AppleID for the 2nd user really messup the iPad?
    (3) Would like to keep each users photo/movies seperate if possible.
    (4) Don't really want to get notifications on both iPhones when only applies to 1 user (facebook, new emails, etc).
    (5) Don't care if I have to switch to different calendars to make this easier.
    (6) Other questions I can't think of.
    Thanks for all the tested suggestions.

    I have an ipad2 and a iphone4 and a ipod touch 1g
    using 1 appleID
    (all having their own backup and their own content in terms of apps and music and movies)
    wife got an ipad touch 3g using her own appleID (she sync with her own computer though)
    it no problem at all
    if she were to sync with my computer though then It would be don by making a new account on the computer to avoid the whole mess with more then 1 appleID
