Dear friends,
Our client is having manufacturing industry.
During the process, Nearly 10 types of scrap will be generating and storing in seperate place.
Once in a year , Procurement dept, go for auction and sell the scrap.
Requirement :
These scrap needs to monitored on quantity .
---From MM side how to Map in SAP , do we need any material type as scrap,
--How to transfer to scrap.
Please suggest the step by step how to handle it/map it in SAP.

How to handle subcontractor scrap

Hi All,
We have a requirement in subcontractor scrap handling , the process is like input materials are sent to subcontractor for processing , in some situation the input materials sent will have hidden defect/damage and at the time of subcontractor processing only the defect will be known and the whole assembly gets fully scrapped , so the vendor returns back the same.
My question is how to take back the scrap? by doing migo 101 and 543 and then scrapping in quality? or do 542 and take back the assembly and then scrap it in 551? if we do migo 101 and 543 , then the PO will be considered as closed and further if we need to send fresh input materials to vendor against the same PO reference this will be a trouble , since we have activated a user exit for not allowing excess qty against the PO line item for 541 movement type , this is same case if we do 542 and PO will get open once again and user exit will now allow the input materials to be sent in 541. The other option is doing 553 (scrap at vendor end) which will not suit our business need. Also if we do scrapping only the Assembly gets scrapped and not the components ? correct . Anyone who had this same requirement pls provide your valuable inputs/suggestions.

1. Do 542 for the problematic components and send the fresh batch of material and it will solve,, it is not confused process, it is straight away you can get the clear vision,,
2. Scrpping at vendor- will may impact in Vendor Performance( if the Vendor evaluation is active) and the cost may involve in their cost,, (Check with your FICo team for more details on this)
If the user exist is not active, you can do the following also,,
Maintain in the PO-Sub con BOM, for the rejected qty as by product and receive the goods only for the finished qty, consumbtion will happen only for the recd qty and the rejected qty as By product, you can get the material back which is really scrapped,,

How to take back or sale the scrap From Production

Suppose we have Issue some materials to Production say 1000 qty, for production, then here some scrap remains,we want to sell this scrap how to do?
we have created the one material code for this scrap , How to take this material back and sale to out side how to to do this ? which is the best option, what is the use of movement type 531 here?

Dear,
At the time of production confirmation, the by-product that is produced gets transferred to the respective location. In this case the SCRAP, the goods movement takes place with the movement type 531 Receipt of by-product into unrestricted use which is assigned already in co11n, goods movements.
Once the Scrap is the respective storage location, it is ready for sale.
Create a pricing procedure for selling scrap.
It consists of Excise, education cess & higher secondary cess. And also you have conditions for CST & VAT, & TCS, Surcharge on TCS, education cess & higher secondary cess.
Once you are done with pricing procedure, create condition records, create sales order, deliver and invoice, which is your normal sales process.

How to handle the event "GROUPLEVEL_CHANGE" in ALV?

I have done a BLOCL ALV report. In i am sorting the first field and not displaying it. But for every change in the first field page break should happen and the particular field is to be printed at every page break at the top. I am handling the page break by passing the IT_SORT-GROUP = '*'. there fore the page breaking is happening well. now i need to have a control such that i print the first field at every page break.
Please help on this...........

Issue while handling the functional ack(CONTRL) through B2B

Hi,
My requirement is to handle the incoming CONTRL message through B2B and send the data to SOA/AIA application and update the CONTRL data in table. For that i have done the following settings in oracle B2B.
Functional Ack handled automatically : false
Functional Ack internal properties : false
Notify Inbound Receipt Acks     : false
Notify Inbound Functional Acks : false
I am able to update the data successfully in the table for the successful scenarios. But if the transaction is failed in SOA/AIA application due to some error then it is creating 2 entries of MSG_ERROR in reports tab in B2B where as it is creating only one entry for MSG_COMPLETE state.
Please guide me if i am missing anything here. I am getting below 2 errors for 2 separate entries at the same time.

I guess B2B listening channel is trying to retry the same file in case of error.App message delivery is not retried in B2B rather failed messages are delivered to the IP_IN_QUEUE. Please enable the logging for B2B engine in TRACE 32 mode and run a test to reproduce the behaviour. Post the log here or mail across to my id (in my profile).

How to handle the "cancel" button and "close" icon of a popup ?

Hi,
I have a popup with "cancel button" and "close icon"(on the top right corner of the popup), I want the same operations to be performed on clicking of any of these two components.
Is there a way to handle such situation ?
I read about 2 cases to look into this but they didn't work too well for me.
1. I read about the "popcancellistener" but that listener is called whenever the popup closes, so suppose I have an "ok button" on the popup to create a record, after the record is created, the popup closes and goes into the "popcancellistener", now the question is "how do we know if it came there because of the 'ok button' or 'some other event'".
2. I even checked the "DialogListener", now I'm able to distinguish between the 'OK' and 'CANCEL' button in the dialoglistener using the "Dialog.Outcome.ok/cancel", but when a user clicks on the close icon, we do not enter the "DialogListener" at all, so in this case "how do we handle the close icon click event"
Do let me know if you need any more information from my side.

How to handle the OK button of the parameters prompt of a crystal report

how to handle the OK button of the parameters prompt of a crystal report in vba.NET?
I want to use the parameter prompt from the crystal report itself and I want to know when the report is ready. I need to export programatically by sending email to a list of employees after the parameters has been set. The emails I send depends on the results of the report.
Im using a CrystalReportViewer control in VS2010 and Crystal Report for VS2010 v13.0.1.220.

Right. But the parameter screen is driven by the viewer. Unless you create your own parameter screen and pass the parameters to the report via code.
Another thing I am not sure about:
"Then by code I want to read all the employees id from the report and send email to them with specified pages of the report. (1 page per employee)"
How do you plan on reading the employee ID from the report? I am not aware of any API that will read a value in a report so that you can then decide what page to send to whom.
I think you're approaching this kinda backwards. A question to ask is; can you do what you are trying to do in code in the CR designer? If not, using APIs will not work either. I suspect your approach should be a report that uses an employee filter. Run the report for employee x, get the report populated with the data for that employee and email it. Repeat for employee x1, employee x2, etc.

If we got the Exception, we won’t got messages any more.
From the Call Stack, we found it was cause by delete the Blob. So we wonder that, when we call
RegisterEventProcessorAsync,
the hub will delete the blob and renew one in Storage?
If we delete the blob for the EventHub manually and then run our server again. It worked as usual.
But we can do it like this way manually, so is there any way to handle the exception in code to make the EventProcessorHost worked?

I purchased (rented) a Galaxy S4 through the Edge program, with the $5.00 insurance/protection plan (that the sales associate handling the purchase on the phone recommended),which is no longer valid! 2 months after getting the Edge device, I go to make a claim and Asurion will not honor it because I am not covered; however, all the order confirmation receipts emailed and physically sent with the device show the addition of insurance when I signed up for the Edge program. According to Verizon (via live chat with 'Nicole'), this $5 protection plan no longer exists and the order numbers I have on my paperwork (multiple documents) are invalid in the Verizon system. For over a week, I have spent more than 10 hours on the phone, live chat and in the store trying to get some sort of resolution and the customer service reps just put me on hold or promise to "call me back within 30 minutes after they speak to a supervisor" and (surprise!) they never return my call. Or they send me to the store to show proof of my documents, but then those associates cannot help either. Also, the 'Edge Agreement' in my profile has the wrong device (and serial #), wrong payment amounts and no mention of the 'consumer protection plan' on it, which is listed on the order confirmation sent via email and with the actual Edge device on September 23. Obviously, there was some sort of glitch or mistake on Verizon's part, but NO ONE WILL EVEN TRY TO ACCEPT THAT FACT! WHY WON'T ANYONE GET BACK TO ME WITH SOME SORT OF EXPLANATION FOR ANY OF THIS?! Is it typical for Verizon to do away with a service (i.e., $5.00/month protection) and not inform the customer of this? And is it company policy to be as unhelpful as possible to a paying customer who needs assistance when there is cleary something wrong on your end? And finally, am I really suppose to believe that Verizon customer service has no email addresses or fax machines so a customer can send you proof of what is on the receipt you sent and that I have to take more of my time to go to the actual store?! I have recently switched from MobileMe to iCloud and I now getting an error message in iCal :
"The server is currently unable to handle the connection due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. If this continues you should contact the server administrator.
You may try to connect to the server again or take the account offline."
Since I am working from home and I am not on a server other than iCloud I don't understand why I am getting this message. (for 3 days). How do I fix it?

Is your MacBook using Mac OS X 10.6.8 as indicated in your post? If so you will not be able to fully integrate with iCloud.
iCloud and Snow Leopard, by Roger Wilmut describes what iCloud options are available for Snow Leopard.
If you are using Lion, go to iCal>Preferences...>Accounts, and delete/re-add your iCloud CalDAV server.

Handling the ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT in a try catch block

Post WAS 610 all system exceptions are handled by exception classes, I could not find the exception class for the runtime exception ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT, if any body is in knowledge of the same or knows of a better way to handle the runtime exception kindly let me know.

I have already tried all teh exceptions listed for type conversion and assign. The help document also suggested that teh exception class name for a runtime exception will appear in the system trace.
The issue still remains where it was, When i get this execption from a web page the same is not being caught.

UCCX 8.0.2 - error while handling the request

My Customer have UCCX 8.0.2. He needed did change prompt and when He try to do upload the new script, appear the message: "error while handling the request". Any have idea who solve this problem?

I saw this before on 8.0.2, I had to delete the prompt/script/document and the upload it again (instead of overwriting it). I believe this was fixed in SU4.
Edit: this is the bug id - CSCtq23837 (unable to overwrite scripts) - resolved in 8.0(2) SU4

Can the usb sync/power cable that came with the iPhone 3g and 4 handle the 2.1 amps drawn by the ipad 2 (if used with the 10w plug) without risk of overheating?

I recently made the mistake of buying a cheap sync cable from a well known auction site becuase I wanted a longer cable than comes in the box for my ipad 2.
Whilst my iPad will sync OK, it takes an age to charge (using the standard 10w plug in the wall). I don't fully understand the science in the cables, but assume it is not a big enough cable to handle the current/2.1 amps?.
If like house wire you send too much current through a cable that is to small for the job it risks overheating and causing a fire.
Does this same principle apply to the iPad power lead?
Anyway back to the question, can I use other leads I have hanging around the house from my previous iphones and ipods to charge my ipad (again still using the 10w plug in the wall) or will the cable in these be too small to handle the 2.1 amps required by the ipad?
I don't want to risk overheating the cables and causing a short to break my beloved iPad 2...!

Not sure they entirely answer my question though.
I have used my different cables and can see that they are actually working (charging and syncing etc), but am i using old cable that was not intended to draw 2.1 amps and so may overheat and cause damage in the long run?
Or did apple deliberately over engineer the original cables which were only needed to supply 1 amp and they can actually be used to draw 2.1 amps comfortably?
Whilst the 30 pin connectors and usb points are identical, is the internal cable thickness/awg gauge the same?

Reconcilliation of the Scrap w.r.t challan in case of subcontracting.

Dear All,
My client is having the requirement is to do the reconcilliation of the scrap qty , which got generated at the vedor's end w.r.t subcontracting challan
,As per the Indian Excise Law , total weight of the material(raw material) going outside for the subcontracting has to
come back of same weight (finished good /raw material itself )only within 180 days, if it has not come back , then company has to reverse the cenvat credit taken.
Now in our scenario ,suppose Purchase order created of 80KG and in the BOM, raw material is mentioned as 100KG in the +ve qty and 20KG as the -ve qty as the By product, Now during the 541 , qty sent is of 100KGbut Finished good recieved is of 80 kg as per PO qty , and corresponding reconcilliation is being done and after this , system is allowing to compelete the subcontracting challan,but at the same time by product which was given in the -ve qty , has not come back.
So as per the Excise Law total weight has not come back on the challan ,so system should not allow to compelete the challan. and accordingly Cenvat Credit has to be reversed.
Please suggest the way out , how the receiving of Scrap can be done against the subcontracting challan and reconcillaiton
Client is not agreed to receive the material by movement type 542 , which has no linkage with the subcontracting challan.
