Handling Unit user status

Hi all,
I want to update the HUs with a user status. I have done the following steps.
1. Defined a status profile (OK02) with a status.
2. Configured the packaging material type (VHAR) with new status profile.
3. When I update the status via HUMO>Display/Change>Edit>Status>Set Status, I am getting following error.
"HU 23 has no user status"
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,
In the Status screen, set status icon is not activated. But in the Status detail screen, when i press F4 on status profile, i am able to see the created status profile.

I am trying to change the HU Status using FM 'STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN' but its not working.
             lx_huheader-hu_id is the Internal Handling unit number.

add this Export parameter in the call of function module,
           SET_CHGKZ                 = 'X'
after chef id the objnr is correct.........remember to call the commit work, or BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after the status change.

Handling unit system status

Hello Everyone,
I am looking for system status of handling units.
In HUMO transaction, under tab-strip Status, we have HU-specific data. In this block, we have System status field, where the status of handling units are maintained.
I am trying to retrieve the value of this system status field from database table, but it takes me to structure VEKP_TXT under which there is one filed SYS_STATUS.
Could not find in which table the system status are stored by SAP.
The possible values of this status field are:
PHEX
UNLD
Anybody having idea where the value of system status field gets stored in database table.

values comes from Domain , So try to get values from domain itself.
DDUT_DOMVALUES_GETand name is HU_SYSSTATUS--->System status.

The material is having the Packing ( Handling Units).
In delivery please do the Packing for the Materials because they have linked with the Handling Units. and Also check the wheather the Handling Units are configured properly.

If you want to implement a status of your own, you can define a user-specific procedure for the packaging material type (see also Define Packaging Material Types).

The items of a handling unit can consist of material items, packaging materials or other handling units that appear in an overview. For more information about this overview, see the Contents section of Editing detailed data for handling units.
To access the item data of an individual handling unit, select the handling unit concerned and choose Goto  Detailed HU data  Contents.

Who familiar with Handling Unit Management(HUM) module?

Hi,
It was said that if we active the HUM module in Clint level. Then the packing BOX number will not be allowed to be duplicated.
Whether this means that VEKP-EXIDV, this field will not be allowed to be duplicated??

Handling Unit Error

Hi All,
The scenario is STO from Plant(2003) to Plant(2002) within company and sales from Plant 2002 to customer.
VA01(Plant2002-no stock)->ME21N->VL10B(with HU-from Plant 2003)->VF01(JEX)->MIGO(GR w.r.t delivery,selecting via.HU)> VL02N-from Plant 2002(with same HU of Plant 2003)-> VF01.
When i am doing the outbound delivery from Plant 2002(with same HU of Plant 2003), iam getting the following error.
Handling unit 1000000023 has status 0040 - No Assignment to outbound delivery
Message no. HUDIALOG141
Diagnosis
While processing an outbound delivery, you can only assign handling untis that are currently in stock. This includes handling units with status '0020' = (stock not at HU STORAGE LOCATION) and '0030' (stock at HU STORAGE LOCATION).
Handling unit 1000000023 that you selected has a current status of 0040,
System response
Handling unit 1000000023 cannot be assigned to this outbound delivery.
Procedure
If the handling unit has status '0001' (planned) or '0010'-'0011' (realized), check whether you have to post goods receipt for the handling unit. If the stock is already in the warehouse, you can change the status manually by choosing 'Process handling unit'.

Hi Azeez,
I hope you are trying to pack the material in already used HU.
In your scenario, initially plant 2003 used a HU to deliver the goods to plant 2002. now after doing GR in 2002, you are PGI ing from 2002. You can only use existing HU's that are available for packing in plant 2002. If you try to use HU of plant 2003, if it is not defined in plant 2002 system won't allow to use it.

Can the business transaction be controlled using user status profile?

Hi All
there is a requirment that in a project there will be 3 stages of approval.
Each stage of approval should allow specific business transaction.
eg. When the project is apporved in 1st stage then only PR's and pln Oders can be raised.
When 2nd stage is approved then PR's can be converted to PO.
When 3rd stage is approved then and Production activity can take place.
I would like know whether user staus profile can be used to control the business transactions? If yes how?
If user status is not possible, can any one help me out?

As per me this scenario can be handled without user status
When the project is apporved in 1st stage then only PR's and pln Oders can be raised.
If ur generating PR/ planned order thru MRP run it is only possible after WBS release.So give the WBS release authorisation to 1 st authority.
When 2nd stage is approved then PR's can be converted to PO.
Put release strategy to PR so that there can be check by autourised person.
When 3rd stage is approved then and Production activity can take place.
Give production order Release authorization to person who is responsible for production planning.
It is not suggestable to look at this scenario for applying user status.

"Current assignment" field missing in Handling Unit status tab

Our scenario is as below:
1. STO created and outbound deliveries generated
2. Deliveries are assigned to shipment
3. Packing is done using RF transaction
In the normal scenario, the HU status tab would show the outbound delivery number in the current assignment tab. But for some Handling Units, the current assignment field shows blank. Also, the contents tab shows only the delivery line item number and not the delivery number. We have also noticed that the problem delivery line items have been packed in 2 different Handling Units, each containing the full delivery line item quantity. (not sure how this is possible). One of the HU is displayed correctly but the other one has the missing delivery number issue.
Has anyone encountered such a scenario? How is the system allowing to pack the same delivery item quantity in 2 different Handling Units? Any suggestions in this regard would be very helpful.

My smartform(picking slip ) is triggering from vl02n transaction,my requirment is
to change the status of handling unit to 60 (Delete) ,after my form printed,
I checked with FM hu_update_status but it is not changing the VEKP-status field for that particular hanling unit .

Generally Smartform is used to print the Output of Packing Slip,?
You mean after packing is over you have to Modify the handling Unit status?
then you have to find the status of packing and based on that field you have to modify the JU status.

User exit/BADI for Deleting the Empty Handling unit

Hi All,
Can anyone give me the suitable User exit/BADI for the below scenario.
While creating the TO (Transfer order) for a delivery using the transaction code LT12, the system will automatically generate HU (Handling unit) number. If the materials are not found in the storage bin for the selected HU, we have to delete the Handling Unit from the delivery document.

The Exits gives you access to LTAK and LTAP.....

During TO confirmation using LT12 we are facing an issue with TO confirmation.
we get the error
ERROR-MsgNo :HUDIALO Handling unit / item has the status "cannot be changed"
We identified that the AENDB value is set to X for the HU. Kindly can you let me know when this value is checked in the HU.

Failed to update handling units status

Hi,
I'm joseph. I'm trying to load my shipment in LM30. I have 8HU's in one outbound shipment. I successfully loaded the 5HU's but on the last 3HU's i encountered problem "Failed to update handling units status" <note that they are nested HU's>.
Do you know how to fix this problem?

Hello ,
Please consider the following points when doing the load process.
If loading is by HU, the HU must be still in the warehouse but post good issue deletes the HU from the warehouse. With Transaction LM30 , you can load the HU only before the goods issue. Also , all of the RF transactions provided in the SAP standard product are to be used for the warehouse operations. Here , the HU must exist in the warehouse to be able to use the LM30 for loading.

Handling unit preventing deletion of inbound delivery

Hello,
Our Decentralized WMS had a glitch in the system that left several
idocs queued to create inbound deliveries. These deliveries have
associated handling units which were placed from the outbound delivery
to the inbound. Before the inbound deliveries could be created via XI,
users created manual inbound deliveries against the POs and PGRed.
When the Decent WMS glitch was addressed, the IDOCs submitted were
processed, creating inbounds with handling units that were completely
packed.
So our system contains 2 inbounds for a po. We would like to delete the one with with the handling unit, but it's not that simple.
To address this issue, it is necessary to remove the handling units,
but this isn't possible. We receive an error message, unable to change.
I've attempted to PGR the delivery but this isn't possble either.
the following error message is received.
MSSA-SATRA exceeded by 2 EA : 10004063 AA26 0001 E
How can these Handling units be deleted to allow the associated inbound
deliveries to be deleted as well?
Is there a program to modify the status of the handling unit? I do not
want to perform any table editing or goods movements unless there are
no other alternatives

Problem in 301 Stock transfer via VLMOVE for Handling Unit movement

Hi Gurus
I am having one issue, where handling unit is active. So user facing one issues that user has posted the stock around 10 qty , after some material movements , stock showing as 9 in MMBE , where as checking the handling units showing 10 In HUMO . Now user wants to do the stock transfer 301 via VLMOVE. But system is giving error message like u201Cdeficit of stock, handling units can't be movedu201D, anybody advise is there anyway how user can do this transaction.

Hi,
The solution for creating inbound delivery that you people have suggested is already in place. The problem is not with creation of inbound delivery but with assigning the material HUs to the inbound delivery. As material HUs are having status assigned to Shipment Document which is created after outbound delivery is processed. How should I go about it? Even after status of shipment document is made complete, assignment of HUs to inbound delivery is not possible. Please help to resolve this issue.
