Handly setting and email receiving auto

Hi All
Excuse me my poor english.
I have BB Z30 about 3 months.
After last update my email (2 mails) automatically check/connect to server and received mails.
In settings I have HANDLY.
Before update email never connect to server when I had handly set.
What is wrong now?
How to restore good work in this phone?
This is very **bleep** me, I need to check mail when I will want - not automatic.
Please give me any solution on this.
Regards
Jacek

Yes, exactly like you wrote.
But the strange thing is that it gets emails differently.
Sometimes at night and in the morning I have new emails on my phone.
Sometimes not download ..
behaves strangely
ie:
for example, if I set the download every hour - mails are checked every hour - it is ok.
But if I have to manually set the download, e-mails are taken from time to time, once 3 times a day, sometimes once every two days ...
Oddly one word
I need to set manual and emails not download , only when I will click REFRESH icon.

  • Can you get reoccurring alerts for text and email received?

Can you get reoccurring alerts for text, email an voicemail received? I am too dumb for my smartphone.......I have looked on the forums and cannot find an answer.
I just got my Droid Razr Maxx HD 2 weeks ago and so far I can only find that the "little" green LED light flashes when have a text, email, or voicemail. That light is pathetic..really I can barely see it?
Is there a way to make an audible alert the reoccurrs?
    Thank you.

You may want to search for an app in Google Play.

  • Emails received in German

    Hello,
I'm facing an issue which may be related to my location.
I'm located in Switzerland, but I'm a french speaker.
It seems that there is a setting in iCloud which makes me receiving emails in German.
Switzerland has three different languages (officially even 4), and maybe Apple has just made German as a default language for the country.
So, the welcome email from iCloud, and emails received when I use "Find my iPhone" are in German.
On the iCloud website, everything is in French, except my Calendar names which are also displayed in German.
Are they other Swiss people facing the same issue?
If yes, could Apple escalate that issue to development people to fix this?
I've called the support, but unfortunately, they told me to reset my iOS device and to set up the language again on the device, which of course has no effect.
    Thank you in advance,
    JC

I saw that your question hasn't been answered yet -- here's a solution (in case you haven't found one already)
    Go to:
    Apple - My Apple ID
    https://appleid.apple.com/
Sign in with your Apple ID and on the left hand column the last item is "Language and Contact Preferences"
You'll be able to change your "Preferred Language" there. As soon as you begin typing the choices will apear.
    I hope this helps.

  • I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works.  Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up.  Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp.  Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp.  Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.
    Kep trying.

Install ClamXav and run a scan with that. It should pick up any trojans.

  • Greetings, everyone. I just bought an iPad Air and after setting it up, received the following email, which looks scammish to me.

Somehow I didn't finish my question. It was: Greetings, everyone. I just bought an iPad Air and after setting it up, received the following email, which looks scammish to me.(Partially reproduced below.)  Or is it legitimate?
"You’ve taken the added security step and provided a rescue email address. Now all you need to do is verify that it belongs to you."

This is genuine if you have submitted Rescue email address (tap to enlarge)

    Hello Nikkii,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Troubleshooting FaceTime and iMessage activation
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4268
    Troubleshooting telephone-number activation (iPhone only)
After each step, toggle FaceTime and iMessage off and then on in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Ensure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: If Set Automatically is on but the incorrect time zone is displayed, turn Set Automatically off and then choose the correct time zone, date, and time. Then turn Set Automatically on again.
Ensure that FaceTime has not been restricted: Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
Verify that you can send SMS messages. You need a valid SMS messaging plan to activate FaceTime.
Contact your carrier to verify that there are no restrictions or blocks on text messages. Blocks on text messaging will prevent iMessage and FaceTime registration.
If you are unable to activate iMessage or FaceTime on a device after remote wiping it, wait at least 24 hours and try again.
If "Waiting for Activation" is displayed, leave FaceTime and iMessage enabled for 24 hours. Toggling FaceTime or iMessage off and on will cause the registration process to start over.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • I have the IPAD3 and have set uip to receive both personal and work emails - I want to password protect both so children cannot access - is this possible ?

I have the IPAD3 and have set up to receive both personal and work emails - I want to password protect both so children cannot access - is this possible ?

You can Password protect your iPad, but if you want your children to play games on your iPad, then one you unlock it, they have full access, there is not an option to password apps, such as the Mail app.

Set up email on my iphone 5c and now it is downloading every email I have ever received.  Even old emails from months ago, how do I make it stop?

When creating an antiquated POP account with a new email client, all received email that remains at the incoming mail server is downloaded as new and unread email.

  • HT201412 I have followed all instructions to set up email and i am receiving fine but cannot send

I followed all instructions to set up email and I am receiving fine but cannot send keep getting message stating username or password incorrect?

The sending of email is handled by the SMTP server. Go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Go to the account in question and check the SMTP server settings. In some places in the mail app, it says the username and password are optional. In actuality, it really isn't. If you cannot modify the settings and get it to work, then delete the account entirely and set it back up again, making sure to get the username and password correct in all areas.

  • Question Re: Auto Email receiving Problem

I have noticed that for a few days now that my iphone will not show any emails received until I go into each email account and select the refresh button the receive it manually. Prior to this my iphone would just auto pick them up from the server and when I powered up and slid the unlock button there would be the number of emails in red above the email button. Now I see nothing there even though I am receiving them, I have the email setting to check for new emails every 15 minutes. I have tried a reset a few times also.
Can anyone provide any other tips to try?
    Thanks in advance

I too have noticed this with my accounts. I persoanlly feel there is a bug that it just stops checking. Normally after I do a manual check, then it starts working good again.
How are you "resetting". Just powering off and on, or doing the both button till it reboots approach. There is a difference.
    A reset/reboot is:
    Go to Home Screen
    Press and Hold Home Button
Keep holding and press and hold Lock Button
    Keep holding Both
You will see Slide to Turn Off (Don't let go to slide, just keep holding)
The phone will turn off (in time, but screen will look like it has some white lines)
    Keep Holding
When you see the Apple Logo, you can let go.
Turning off via the Slide to Turn off while good and fine to turn off, is more like the Sleep Mode on a computer. Thus any locked up issues in memory remain when you turn back on. A reboot as described is like doing a real Turn off and Turn On on a computer.
You may also wish to read this tread about reboots and odd application behavior.
