Handsfree Pairing with Acura TL Difficulties

My iPhone will not pair with my '06 Acura TL - I have tried the phone setup menus through the navi system but no joy...please can someone detail exactly how I do this. My problem is the car is not sending the pairing code to the phone. HELP I miss this connection so much.

The pairing code isn't sent to the iPhone from the car, so you need to get the handsfree system in your car to the point where it is looking for a paired device, or ready to accept one. Your car's user guide, or the one that came with the nav system if it is separate, will explain how to do this. It will also tell uoi what the pairing code is.
Once you have got the car to the right point, you then pick up your iPhone, go to settings, select general, then select Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is ON (the toggle at the top of the screen) and under that you will then see 'devices' and the little wheel spinning. when it finds the car's hardsfree system, it will ask you for the pairing code, which you've got from the car's manual. enter that and select OK, and it should pair up.
I don't have an Acura so I can't give you precise instructions, but the principle is the same for all these systems. And since the whole process takes no more than a few seconds usually, you may even be able to drop by your Acura dealership and ask them to show you.

  • Phone Locking up after pairing with Acura Handsfree

I just purchased a new 3g and my phone locks up everytime I get in my vehicle. I paired it with the handsfree in my Acura and it starts to work and then the phone locks up. Any tips? Its very annoying to step into or out of your vehicle and have to reset your phone.

I have the same problem when I take the risk of dialing from the iPhone on my 06RL. The iPhone correctly shows the handsfree link as an option but it does nothing, so I have to pull over to make a call.
Also, the only way to dial is by remembering and spelling the phone number to the hnads free system and I have never been able to sync the contacts. Entering them one by one is out of the question.
Unfortunately Acura does not seem to have the tradition or policy (unlike other high-end car makers) of releasing updates to their navi system. Not even to fix bug. It seems to be AS-IS. Believe me I have asked several times.
To make it worse, Apple has the policy of not responding so we are left to figure it out.

  • Bluetooth no longer pairs with Acura TSX

I have had an Acura TSX since September 2012.  The bluetooth on my iphone paired fine, and continued to work okay after I got the iphone 5 in October.  However, a few months or so ago, it randomly "unpaired" from the phone.  I was able to "forget the device" and repair it.  Unfortunately, it unpaired again this week, and after telling the phone to forget the device again, the car can no longer find any bluetooth enabled devices when I try to pair it.  Sometimes, the "handsfree" link will come up and ask me to pair, but when I put in the pin, the car will say that it couldn't find a bluetooth.  I've turned the phone on and off, and the bluetooth on and off, and nothing happens.  No idea if this is an issue with my car or with my phone.  Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Unpair the car from the iPhone (Settings -> General -> Bluetooth) and unpair the iPhone from the car (check your owner's manual).
Typically you just have to unpair and re-pair the iPhone with the car and you're back up and running.

    HI Friend,
Probably the problem it is because your iPhone 4 and your car have the same Bluetooth technology ( 2.1 ), but iPhone 5 has new Bluetooth technology ( 4.0 ).

  • My iPad 4 wont pair with my iPhone 5.  Why?

My iPad 4 wont pair with my iPhone 5.  Why?

What are you trying to do? If you are trying to use your
iPhone to provide internet access for your iPad, does your
wireless provider offer internet tethering and is your account
    provisioned for it?
If you are trying to connect using bluetooth, this is not a feature of
iphone, iPad or iOS, never has been.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers,
    handsfree telephone devices/headsets, some keyboards,
some peer-to-peer apps from the app store and internet
tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this it will not connect to a phone/computer/device.

  • Why can't I get my 3Gs to pair with my iMac?

I've been trying to get my 3Gs running 4.3.5 to pair with my late 2009 iMac running Snow Leopard over Bluetooth and they keep fighting each other and won't pair up.  I don't ask for much, I'd just like to use my mac as a handsfree device when I'm home and the phone is charging.  This use to be so easy, and it's paired up with my Pioneer car stereo perfectly, but for some reason the Mac and the iPhone don't want to talk to each other.  Which I find rather ironic considering they're both Apple products...
    Any suggestions?

As I said, what you're trying to do is not supported.

  • HT201401 My 4s won't pair with my hands free in my car

My Bluetooth on my 4s won't work with my bt handsfree in my car

Re-boot both the phone and the nav system. If it still can't find it, verify that the phone can pair with a different hands free device.
If it can, talk to Toyota and see if there is an update available for the nave system. There were known compatibility problems with some systems in Toyota and Lexus vehicles that were largely corrected by a system update.

  • IPhone5 wont pair with Benz bluetooth

I just upgraded to iPhone5 with iOS6 2 days ago.  I have a Benz E350 with Bluetooth device for handsfree Command system.  It worked fine throughout iPhone 3g/3GS, 4/4S and now it won't pair with iPhone5.  Tried reset iPhone5, undocked the Bluetooth device and reset numerous times, no worka!  Help

I have a similar problem with a MB GL550 BlueTec - also has bluetooth.  Worked fine with all other iPhone models. The truck finds the phone without a problem, but the phone will not find the truck.  Tried resetting all, deleting any other devices in the truck's memory etc, but all to no avail.
Hope someone can let us know something.

  • IPhone 5 handsfree bluetooth with Windows 8

I am trying to use my Windows 8.1 laptop as a handsfree bluetooth device for my iPhone 5.  I have paired the devices, but when I double-click my phone in the devices list in Windows, the only operation is "Synchronize PIM Data with Phone Book Access".  Is it possible to use my laptop as a handsfree device with iPhone 5?

    No.

  • TDG-BT500A issues pairing with XBR55X850C

I cannot get my TDG-BT500A 3D glasses to pair with my XBR55X850C TV.  Is anyone else having this issue?

    Hi Chas619,
We understand that you're having difficulties pairing the active 3D glasses (TDG-BT500A) with your TV.
Prior to following these steps, make sure of the following:
The source device (3D Blu-ray Disc® player, DVR, cable box or satellite receiver) is connected to the TV using a high quality, High-Speed HDMI® cable.
A 3D signal from a source device is being played while pairing the glasses.
The Bluetooth® setting in the menu of the TV is set to On.
IMPORTANT: The TV provides a clear indication that a 3D signal is being played by displaying the message 3D signal is detected.
When using the 3D glasses for the first time, remove the battery insulating sheet.
Put the 3D glasses on and stand with in two feet in front of the TV.
NOTE: The glasses should be facing the front of the TV.
Press the Power button on the glasses to turn them on.
NOTE: The power indicator on the glasses will blink green and yellow to indicate that the pairing process has begun.
Once the glasses have paired, the green indicator on the glasses will light up green for 3 seconds and you will be able to see the 3D image being played.
If the pairing fails, the glasses will turn off. If this occurs repeat the steps above.
If the pairing process continues to fail after repeating the steps above, verify the following:
The signal being played on the TV from the source device is in 3D. The message 3D signal is detected will appear on the TV screen. The image will appear blurry or double image without the glasses.
The Bluetooth setting on the TV has not been turned Off. In some cases the Bluetooth setting may automatically become disabled if the TV is unpluged or if there is a power outage.
Nothing is blocking the signal from the TV to the glasses. This may include the way the TV sits in an entertainment center or items that may be placed in front of the TV.
Move other 3D devices away from the TV. This may include another 3D capable TV.
    I hope this helps.
    -Anthony

  • BT pairing with Garmin Nuvi 2310

    Hi everyone
    BB Curve 8520 v5.0.01036 - BT v1.1
    Garmin Nuvi 2310 - BT v5
This is my first BB, I wish I bought one years ago.  Its great.
I do have a problem pairing with my satnav.  The satnav turns off once the connection is made.  I have read other posts but nothing refers to the Curve 8520.
One post said the the different versions of BT could be the problem?  I have emailed Garmin to see if they can supply an older version of their firmware for BT.  Does anyone know if the BT version can be updated on the BB?  Both the Garmin and BB have been updated using their software/websites.
Any help on this is appreciated, Allan.

I have a new 8520 and a Nuvi 660 which I've had a couple of years. Paired easily with no problem IRO using the Nuvi as a handsfree device in the car.
The Nuvi is running BT sw 3.4. and the BB same as yours.
