Hang Heading Text outside Frame: Can it be done?

We use text frames that only take up half the page width.
Occasionally, I have a top level heading that breaks onto a second line. I would prefer to keep this text on a single line and have it break out of the text frame (either to the right or the left, depending on the odd/even-ness of the page).
I know I can cut/paste the heading into a new text frame, and apply space above the next body paragraph, but:
this is messy
this breaks the text flow between frames etc
Is there any way I can set a single paragraph to 'break' the border of the text frame?

Hit Escape (the entire cell gets selected), hit Escape again (the cell is deselected and the cursor is at the farmost left position), hit Move Left. Now the cursor is in front of the table. Hit Shift+Right twice, or Shift+Down once, to select the table and its hard return.
And then people may ask you to stop hitting your keyboard

Drag and drop images into anchored frames -- can this be done with the images imported by reference?

My company bought a product from another company and the only manuals files that came with it were in pdf format. I am currently grabbing text out in Acrobat, then pasting and reformatting it in FrameMaker. Boring and tedious. . . .
Eventually I get to the point of importing the illustrations. There are *hundreds* of them. As a rule, we import the files by reference, to keep the chapter size smaller and to be able to double click the image to open it for modification.
However, I can drag an image file from the folder window and drop it into an anchored frame. Oooh, this is fast--way faster than all the mousework that goes into clicking file>import>file>[choosing the file then hitting the import button].
But, dang it, that copies the image into the FrameMaker file. No double-click opening. Giant fm. file size. Mad boss, shaking an SOP standards sheet in my face.
So, my question: Is there a way to import an image *by reference* by dragging and dropping them into an anchored frame?

I tried the RTF route and, in addition to getting the body text I wanted, got paragraph after paragraph of the page numbers, the illustration text, the header and footer verbiage, all randomly placed between body text paragraphs.
I did the same file twice, once by saving as RTF and deleting unwanted stuff, then repairing body paragraphs (each line of which is a seperate paragraph in the RTF file) and also by sweeping only the necessary text, then copying and pasting it page by page. The second method was a bit faster and less frustrating. Not to say that it isn't slow and frustrating in itself, but just a bit less. Less errors, too, with the second method.
Bummer about importing by reference. I don't suppose there's a way to set up recorded actions with hotkeys, is there? Like in Illustrator?

Have anyone experienze with GuiXt?
My user want's a text added to a screen, and that is no problem, but the user want it to be red and not black.
Is there a way to do this?
I'm just using notepad for the scripts.

The question is already quite old, but just in case that someone is still interested:
Use a 1x1px White Image, eg. "white.gif" and the "Image" command:
Image (2,80) (5,100) "white.gif" textstring="Hello!" textcolor="RGB(200,0,0)" textheight="20" -textcenter
The text can contain variables e.g.
Image (2,80) (5,100) " "white.gif" textstring="Bank account invalid for supplier &V[supplier]" ....

PO Header Text

Hello Experts,
We have requirement of printing Some text in PO Header. Scenario is we are using Automatic
PO option for creating the Purchase order directly from PR having document type YA only.
We want to print certain Fix Text details to be printed in PO header for only Automatic PO
document type. Also we are maintaing these details in multiple languages , and we want
depending upon Vendors Country/Language system should pick these details and print in
Purchase order header.
Also guide me while converting PR to PO using automatic PO option which PO document type
does the system select for creating the order. Where do we maintain these settings e.g If my
PR document type NB but i want to create the PO with document type YA, how to configure and
where these settings are maintained.

You can link the Purchase requistion with the Purchase order .Follow the stpes :
SPRO> MM>Purchasing >Purchase Requisition>Define Document Types
Click the document type craeted by you and maintain the linkage with the Purchase order document using Link purchase requisition - document type
For example : PR document type YA to PO document type YA
Even the Different text can be configured in such a way that whwnever i convert it into another document the text should also be copied to the precedding document.
This can be defined in
SPRO> MM>Purchasing >Purchase Requisition>Texts for Purchase Requisitions
Define the copying rules for this .
You want to print the fixed text ( Header Text). You can enter using PO print passing the Parameter.You want maintain the Text -vendor /country wise that you can maintain with the vendor ( XK01)

Default text in Purchase Order Header text

When i create a PO, only for a specific plant I want a default text description to be captured automatically in the Header Text.
How to get this done?

Po header text doesn't display on po printing?

Hi experts,
We create new po doc type. Now we found when we create po and input header text manually, it can't be previewed in po form. We check some table ,it seems T166K / xT166K doesn't include this text.
May I know for new doc type, any text config need be done? Or how to setup text with doc type ?

Hello GuhaPriyan,
I assume that you're referring to the ALV Grid's title. The maximum length for this title is 70 characters and this would generally fit in the one line.
Are you intending to wrap it because you purposefully want the text to come in two lines? In that case, I'm not sure that it's possible.
But otherwise, there's an option in the Layout called SMALLTITLE. You can set this attribute so that the title would be displayed in a amaller font and hopefully, all of your text shows up on the screen.

you can find the details from STXH (header information )and STXL - Text information(non readable format)
using READ_TEXT you can find the information.
TDNAME = DELIVERYNUMBER(likp-vbeln)
TDOBJECT = VBBK for header VBBP for Item
TDID depends on the text which you are using.
you can get all the information from Text editior itself in the Delivery.

There is no SPRO configration to create PR Header text
Use the Function module
Goto SE37
Use FM CREATE_TEXT - for create header text, SAVE_TEXT - for change.
Parameters:
TDOBJECT = 'EBANH'
TDNAME = purchase requisition number (with leading zeros)
TDID = 'B01'
CLIENT and LANGU - client and languag

Need to Disable Sales Order Header Text

Hi everyone,
My problem goes like this:
We have a header text in the sales order that is being filled in by an external program. Since this header text is being read by the same external program, it is very important that the user does not change the data in the header text.
So what we would like to do is to permanently disable this header text, meaning, it should still be there, but the user will not be able to modify the value of the header text.
Please, can anyone help? Points for any useful, helpful answer.

If u are using a Smartform , then Hardcode the text in the Smartform, rather than passing it from the external program..
Or in the External program itself do the following changes....
suppose wf_text is the parameter in the External Program thru which u r passing the Text...
Then in ur Program write wf_text = 'Header Text'. This hardcoding will by default pass ur required value , irrespective of wat the user enters....
If my understanding of ur problem is clear...then this is going to help u...

Hi jyoti,
As per my understanding of your requirement, you can try to maintain the default PO Text in the "Vendor Master Record" or in "Contract" if applicable and then you need to do the following customisation to adopt these texts in the Purchase Orders.
IMG -> Material Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Texts for Purchase Orders -> Define Text Types for Header Texts and Define Copying Rules for Header Texts.
In Define Copuying Rules for Header Texts -tab you can maintain that in which Target Header Text, the deault PO text should be adopted and from where i.e. From Vendor Master Record or Contract or RFQ. Check which of this satisfy your requiremnt to the maximum extent.
Please check this and see if your requirement is fulfilled or not.

So please kindly tell me how to upload flat file to va01 along with

Using BDC, You can not uplaod sales order header text. You can upload the header text using FM
CREATE_TEXT.
Here giving sample code. This code is written for Material master text. You change this code according to your requirement

In my scenario....i know that, there is header text is populated.
if the slaes org = 1234, then i need to delete/remove this header text. ( i can not put the below IF condition " IF XVBAK-VKORG = '1234'........then delete ENDIF"

Or if you want to take previous document's text then create access sequence.
