My Ipad got hanged up and I cannot able to unlocked due to malfunctioned homescreen. I cant also unlock the code because of this issue.
- I cant perform any trouble shooting because i cant actually press it because its unclickable.

If you're having all that issue, and your home/sleep buttons don't work, then there isn't much troubleshooting tips to provide.
Take your phone to the Apple store and have it looked at.

Ios 5 downloads, backup starts, hangs on ipad and 3GS

Have a macbook pro running 10.6.8 and tried to upgrade to ios 5. Tried the ipad and 3GS. Same thing. itunes downloads ios 5 and then goes to backup where they both hang. What could THAT be??

ITunes app hangs on iPad and iPhone

Is anyone having issues with the iTunes app freezing/hanging on iPhones or iPads when trying to view content or view search results? I am having trouble on both my iPhone 4 and iPad (3rd gen). I can't view album, movie or TV show details, purchase content or scroll on album detail pages. I am running iOS 5.1.1 but experienced the same issue prior to this update.

Make sure airplane mode is off, as I mentioned above.
go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings
then, go to settings/itunes and app stores and sign out of accounts
reboot the devices
then go back to settings/itunes and app stores and sign back in
go back to purchased tab

Safari hangs on Ipad 2 using IOS 5.0x

The past week I have had frequent unexplained Safari hang occurences... Using Safari on iPad2 on the latest IOS 5 version. I have tried reseting safari, pressing sleep plus Home then restarting... Previously tried emptying cache, cookies etc...no change in symptoms..
Only thing I did NOT do is reset the iPad. Problem is only with Safari...all other apps (including mail) are fine when I switch to the non-Safari apps while letting the browser spin on the selected website link.. Very frustrating... my MBP works fine while this failing stall situation is occurring, thus eliminating any WI-FI issuesi as a root cause.
Any ideas would be very welcome... Thanks!!

Go to Settings>Safari and make sure that Accept Cookies in set to always.
Also turn off Privite browsing.

ITunes Match hangs on iPad 3 after iOS 6

I updated my phone and ipad to ios6. My phone works relatively fine. However, my iPad 3 hangs in the music app with the cloud and a loading bar. Yesterday it managed to complete loading, but when I wen to the music app this morning, its back to the icloud icon and a loading bar that won't move. I don't know if this is related to the fact that my iPad has not restored all my 3rd party apps from iCloud backup.

I had this problem too. But I remembered I was playing with the restriction settings just right before it greyed out. I disabled restrictions and it came back. I would try to disable renewable a few times to see if it comes back.

Itunes hangs during ipad backup & sync

Hi, i want to upgrade the OS on my ipad. The procedure doesnt get past the backup. It just hangs there forever. Ive tried all the following:
de- and reinstalling itunes
deleting old (maybe incomplete) backup files from the backup directory
resetting the sync history
and - of course - rebbooting my ipad :-)
BTW, the same happens with my Iphone 3GS which is running IOS 3.1.2, so I suspect a setting or issue with my PC, but what could it be?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Video hanging on iPad 2

When using the xfinity TV or HBO Go app... video hangs after 15 seconds.... audio continues. I am using my Comcast Home Network which speed tests indicate that I am getting 18-22 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload. When I called Comcast, they had me delete and reload the apps.... but I am still having the problem

Mail client hanging in ipad os 8.1.3

I am on my 5th reinstall of OS 8.1.3. The mail app works for a while and then hangs, totally nonresponsive, eventually dumping me back to the home screen.
How can such great hardware have such lousy software. And of course I can't go back....to 8.1.2 or before.
This is reported continually and I have yet to see a fix....

If I understand correctly you have reinstalled your iOS software many times but the Mail app keeps quitting back to the Home Screen. Assuming youve been restoring your backup each time, I would next restore the device ss new, and test the mail app in a clean install. Then add your accounts to your phone and verify it still works. The issue could very well be with the backed up information that is being restored:

Games hangs on iPad mini

I Got a brand new iPad mini 16 gb wifi. I installed certain basic games like subway surfers, temple run and some heavy games like asphalt 8 airborne etc. what I observed is that the basic games i.e. Subway surfers, temple run play with a bit of jerkiness, though it's less but observable and the heavy game asphalt 8 airborne works fine. I am unable to figure out the reason......
can anyone please help......???
I Haven't expected this sort of performance from such a decent product...
its has an A5 dual core chip.
I Am currently running iOS 7 which was inbuilt.

Istore update hangs on ipad

I try to update apps from iStore with my iPad2 but they hang. have not got this problem from my iPhone accessing same account. both time via Wifi connection.
Any ideas how to overcome this?

i downloaded the upgrade combo file from apple and installed it instead.
it works. and took less than 10 mins. it did reboot twice on its own.
but now it is installed and verified so from the software update.
however, i am wondering where did the original software update downloaded the file.
cause when i was having problem i know the file was downloaded somewhere as it does not prompt me for download when i retry the upgrade. just wanted to make space on my air.
oh i also tried to repair permission on my air before i ran the combo update. it fixed an error in a log file.

IOS iPad update to 7.1.2 freezes device problem

iOS 7.1.2 update hangs my iPad 3. Can anyone assist me pls. I updated whilst the iPad was plugged into and using iTunes on my Windows 8.1 laptop. The detailL I updated my iPad 3 to iOS 7.1.2 (before I saw all the buggy articles). The device froze with an image of a cable plugged into iTunes on its screen and iTunes (on my Windows 8.1 laptop) gave an error message that the device is frozen. I read multiple articles but none works, i.e. i tried to reboot the device by holding down home and power until apple logo re-appear. No joy - the device reboots but comes back to the same cable image. I tried multiple times - same result. I tried to hold down the home button whilst plugging into my laptop usb, hoping that iTunes would pick up the device and repair it - also no joy - iTunes does not pick up the device. Wow - can anyone assist me further than that - would be appreciated..!

Your iPad is in recovery mode and has to be restored, Using the home and sleep buttons to reset the device are not going to help now. Take a look at this for the instructions that you need.

No loop/repeat feature for Videos - really?

I find it ridiculous that you cannot set a video to repeat. Hanging an iPad from the backseat to play episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba would make like a lot easier if ITunes could just make this simple feature happen. The workarounds are insane and I haven't got one to work yet...

And I've tried various video playlist apps to get around the problem but because the Yo Gabba Gabba shows were bought from iTunes, they are DRM protected and will not work with the apps.
So iTunes doesn't have the simple feature I need and won't allow its videos (sorry, I meant to say MY videos since I purchased them) to work with apps that add the feature - ridiculous!

I am trying to download iOS 5.1 on my iPhone and iPad. Both times it tries connecting to the software update server and just hangs there. I've tried doing both over wifi and get error message. What do I do?

I cannot download the ios 5.1. I'v tried doing it through itunes after downloading the latest itunes. It says that my phone and ipad both have new updates and tries to coonect to update software server. That is where it hangs up and just keeps trying to connect but never does. Then when I try to update my devices over wifi, it tries and thens gives me a download failed message after a few minutes. What do I do?

This has solved loads of people who have this issue and have used an alternate DNS setting. Below are instructions for both iPhone OTA and on you Mac
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try an OTA (over the air update)
Change DNS Servers
Settings -> Wi-Fi
Click the blue arrow on your connected network
Delete everything in DNS and replace it with 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Try again
If this works, you will probably want to remove the WiFi network using "Forget This Network" and then reconnect to it to get your original DNS servers back. Alternatively, make a note of the original DNS servers before deleting them and replace it after you are done.
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try through iTunes
On your Mac
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Network.
Select the network connection service you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, unless you named it something else) from the list, and then click Advanced.

No, it's definitely not normal. Your User's Guide recommends a series of troubleshooting steps to go through when your iPad is misbehaving: As you're already in effect doing the first of the main steps, a Restart of your iPad, and that's not curing it, move on to the next .. a Reset.
To do this, press and hold both the Home and the Sleep/Wake buttons for about 10-12 seconds, until the display blanks and the red Power Off slider appears. Continue holding the buttons until the slider disappears, replaced by the black screen and white Apple logo.
This shows your iPad is starting to reboot. Release the buttons and allow the process to continue until the Lock screen appears again, then slide the slider to complete the process.
