Hangs on customazation (stuck at produkt key when using Guest OS Profile)

Hi,
I have a strange problem With my scvmm installation. I'm trying to deploy machines from a template using guest OS profile, however when I use a guest OS profile, it always hangs on customazation, and when i Connect to the server it hangs on the Product key
screen.
This ONLY happend when i use a guest OS profile (I have enterd the correct Product key in the profile), and Works just fine if i do it "manually" when deploying the template.
Anyone got any ideas of why this might happend?
A sitenote: I'm also getting a warrning when my machines is created that VMM can't offload transfer the file, all tho the machine is created sucsessfully

The vhdx is sysprepped. I converted a vanilla host to a template so vmm sysprepped it. The operating system i also tagged. the strange part is as i said it works if i choose the options manually when deploying it, but as soon as i chooose
to use a preconfigured OS guest profile it refuses. I've also made sure that i use the exact same options in the guest os profile as i use when i sucessfully depoly from the same template.
When i say it works when i do it manually I meen it works if i choose "Create new Windows operation system customization settings" instead of the pre configured profile. So i assume the template is good.

If you are running Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2 and you’re backing up multiple clusters with DPM, you need to ensure that only one backup uses the same CSV at any one time. To do this, follow the instructions in
Serialize virtual machine backups.
If you’re using software VSS with Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2, do the following
Serialize virtual machine backups per node
Serialize virtual machine backups per CSV LUN

Disable the need of the function key when using the control key

I'm often using the F1-12 keys when using an IDE for developing. Those IDE's use the CTR+F1-12 shortcuts quite a bit and it's always needed to use FN+CTR+F1-12 which is ridiculous and redundant. Is there a way to keep using the functions assigned to F1-12 (Adjust volume, brightness...) without pressing the function key and be able of using CTR or ALT +F1-12 without the need of pressing the function key?

According to the system help text it is possible. And for me it works as described in the help text on my MacBook Pro.
But on my Mac Pro (late 2013) the relevant control (“Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys”) is missing form System Preferences >> Keyboard >> Keyboard.
From the help text for the topic "Use keyboard function keys:"
If you frequently use the alternate function of a function key, you can switch the keyboard so that the function keys perform the alternate function without your pressing Fn. You then hold down Fn to use a function key’s original hardware control function. If your keyboard doesn’t have an Fn key, try holding down the Control key.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Keyboard.
Open Keyboard preferences
Select the “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” checkbox.

System hangs under OS X 10.5.8 when using some applications

When looking up help on a Time Machine issue today, a 'fail to backup' notification from TM, the Help application hung, unresponsive. After failing to get Force Quit to work I did a hard restart.
I've recently installed the comprehensive OS X 10.5.8 update over the original 10.5.6 OS that came with the new iMac. I did this initially to overcome a problem with the iMac losing contact with the new BlueTooth mouse. The update has fixed the BlueTooth problem.
The issue of the machine hanging has occurred twice before when using other aps, in those cases a hard restart was necessary and in one case I had to unplug from power and wait 30 seconds before restarting the whole system. Certainly the Force Quit ap doesn't seem to be working very well and the iMacs inability to recover from hanging, unresponsive like this, is a real problem.
Nevertheless the machine is a pleasure to use, except when it buggers up in the middle of my trying to write a story.
My system is a 24" iMac 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, bought this month, Aug 2009.
Bluetooth mouse, new external 1 terrabyte LaCie HD for Time Machine backups, current OS 10.5.8.

I will try the new 'account option' if the machine doesn't settle down.
There is another option, to wait until I install Snow Leopard later this week.
This could clear up any issues, but maybe create others?
I also feel that when I migrated all my stuff from my G4 power PC to the iMac that some of the old software could be causing problems - power pc/intel issues? I am keeping a log of any weird events to try and track the problem down.
Meanwhile I can still work on the new iMac, its a pleasure to use.

When using the executable Windows Installer for installing the Crystal 2008 runtime files on client PC, do you need to enter your license key? If you leave the field blank, what happens?

It sounds like the key you are trying to use is for setting up a KMS, not for activating a windows server station.
If you want to use a KMS, use the following key:

No preview in FCP X when using custom icc profiles

Hello,
since I switched to Lion 10.7.4 from Snow Leopard I have no preview when I want to playback videos from the event browser. I calibrated my Eizo Display with the latest ColorNavigator6 software using a Spyder4 device. The generated Eizo icc profiles are version 2.2. My second display is calibrated with the Spyder Pro4 Software. This icc profile is v2.4.
What I found out so far:
- I open System Preferences > Displays > click on "Color" tab and check "Show profiles for this display only". When I change to a profile that is listed everything works fine. But my custom icc profiles both are not available now.
- when I uncheck "Show profiles for this display only" my custom icc profiles get listed. When I select one of them Final Cut Pro X (10.0.5) doesn´t preview anything and hangs.
- I compared my custom profiles with one that is listed "for this display only" using ColorSync. The only difference that I found were some missing and different tags in the custom profiles.
Do I have to modify my profiles to work with calibrated Displays in FCP X? How / what do I modify?

How to choose witch window will open external links when using multiple Firefox profiles at the same time?

I am using 2 firefox profiles at the same, one for working and another for reading news. I start them with "firefox -no-remote -P profilename", so there are 2 firefox processes running.
It works well, but when I click a link in an external app (like in Google Talk), the link is opened in the first firefox process I launched. I mean, if I ran the "news" firefox first, it will always open the external links.
Is it possible to change this behavior? I'd like all external windows to be opened in the "news" firefox, never in the "working". Of course I'll achieve that if I open it first, but if I first run the "news", then the "working", then I close the news for any reason, now links will always open in the "working" until I close it.

Bookmarks not working (locked) when using same Windows Profile on multiple machines

My bookmarks are not working. I am using the same profile folder on two different machines (Desktop and Notebook) as I use the same Windows profile on both machines. The common profile folder is located on a third machine on our company network. Once I connect both machines to the network the bookmarks on one machine become unusuable as the other machine locks the bookmarks file. How can I manually unlock the bookmarks file places.sqlite? Renaming it and restarting FF does not help.

Overriding function keys when using MS Remote Desktop Connection

Is there a way when connected to a RDP client using MS Remote Desktop Connection to prevent the function keys from being intercepted and handled by OSX. For example on my iMac keyboard, function keys 7 to 12 are used to control itunes and alter the system sound volumes. Is there a way to have these keys processed by the RDP client instead, so that the remote Windows OS can handle them?
While this question currently relates to an iMac, I'll soon be using a Macbook Pro in the same scenario, and will be requiring a similar solution for that machine.

Thanks for your suggestion. Setting that option only toggles what the function keys are interpreted as in OSX, but the key presses are still not processed by the OS in the RDP session. For example, pressing F9 when the RDP window is active shows all open OSX windows in Expose, rather than having the keypress processed by the active software in the RDP session

Tab key used as the shortcut key when using a text entry box

When I use the Tab key as my shortcut key for a text entry box, it works fine in preview mode but does not work in the web browser preview mode. I have tried to understand how I can take an existing project that is built for web browser application and make the tab key work. The only thing I have been able to make my text feild entry take me to the next slide is to have the user click Enter instead of Tab and that is not the typical way we move between fields in the real application. So....simulations is not accurate. Can you give me step-by-step instructions on how to correct this problem in an already existing project?

I think that you need to disable "Seamless Tabbing" in your file for it to work when published.
You need to edit the HTML file that launches your course manually.
Open your HTML file in notepad or equivalent
Between the <object> </object> tags add:

Save the HTML file again

Invalid Query Key when using ReadAllQuery.addOrdering()

I have an object called Request mapped to the Request table and a field within it called creator which is mapped to the User object with a 1-1 mapping. the User object is mapped to the user table.
Now when I do addOrdering() with an expression as below and execute the ReadAllQuery, I get an exception which says "Invalid Query Key[lastName]".
raq.addOrdering(raq.getExpressionBuilder().get("creator").get("lastName").ascending());
where raq is an instance of ReadAllQuery.
Have anyone experienced this? Any help would be much appreciated.

How fix problem of the Alt Key, when used with with the Clone stamp, generating an overlay image?

I am using CS5. When I try to use the Clone Stamp or Healing Brush Tools, pressing the Alt key generates an extraneous image which overlays the
the image which is being worked on prevents these tools from functioning by sliding at around when the ALT tool is pressed. Does any one elso have this odd problem? How can it be fixed?

Incorrect posting key when using BAPI to post the document

Dear Gurus,
We are using a document upload program using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST. It is for making payments to employees vendors via a mass mode.
Now the payment to then is getting reflected as posting key 21, but we want to use key 25, so that in vendor report the line items for payments gets grouped together.
How can we change this posting key in this BAPI?

Hi,
This BAPI have the posting keys hardcoded based on account type, debit credit etc. You cannot change that in this BAPI.
However I can find an OSS note 487722 which says some extension about this BAPI structure. You can try that to include the Posting Key Field:-

So I just got my 8830 Sprint phone. I had gotten the wheel to not make any noise. However, when it's on vibrate, and I press a letter that's also a number, it makes a noise, does anyone know how to slience that as well?

IIRC, the flows are displayed in the order that they were created.

Ribbon Stuck At Loading Only When Using VPN??

Just ran into a very weird issue that I am not sure where to start. Basically the ribbon works 100% for myself and all users at the office on the network. We have vendors/contractors that vpn using sslvpn and they are totally unable to get to
the ribbon or click the add a document link. The ribbon just stays at loading and the add a document link does nothing when clicked. I logged into SharePoint with my username which has full admin access and got same issue when going the sslvpn
route but no issue here on the network at office.....I enabled the allow dns suffix setting and did a flush but still no luck..

Thanks for advice. Turns out that our Cisco WebVPN and SharePoint 2010 don't like each other I guess. I had to add the following to webconfig file and now everything is working 100% for all outside users that vpn into our system.
