HAnyforRFQ for SBO 8.81 PL07

Hello
I started trying out HAnyforRFQ in B1iC for Create Online Quotation in Purchase Quotation. I configured SBO Mailer and have the mail in the contact person (i tried my email). The HAnyforRFQ was tested and gave Connect to HAnyforRFQ(HTTA) successfully. But I get the next message as an internal message
ERROR sending RFQ Document: 8 SMTP address is missing for B1 User Sarah Kierl
Sarah Kierl is the contact person of the Vendor but my user is manager. What else must I configure ?

RFQ does not use SBOMailer to send e-mails to vendors. Instead, it uses an SMTP server that you need to set up in the Integration Framework. To do that, open Integration Framework and browse to "Maintenance > Cfg Connectivity" and fill the requested information. Try the test button to check if all parameters are correctly set.

Standard Report layouts in Crystal 2008 for SBO 2007A

It has been 2 years since SBO adopted Crystal Reports to become part of the standard product, I refer back to the initial links which promised links to Standard Reports, however 2 years later these links appear to be exactly the same, no updates.

I would like to know if there a pack of standard Crystal reports for SBO 2007A and if so where would we be able to find them?

Installing B1DE for SBO 8.8

Hi ,
Im a begginer with SDK , i downloaded the B1DE version 2.1 for SBO 8.8 an when i try to install it in my Laptop the installer complain about that i need to Install SAP Business One first , exist any way that i can get the assemblies in my Laptop so i can make reference in my Visual .net projects of DI API and UI API?

You need install SAP Business One first in order to use B1DE. It can not be installed alone.

Compile Add-On for SBO 2005 and 2007

Hi All,
I am looking for a document that I downloaded a while ago on steps how to compile add-ons for SBO version 2005 and 2007 on the same machine. I don't want to run both versions (I can be running either) just want to be able to compile add-ons on both version 2005 and version 2007 on my local machine. I also don't want to use virtual machine or something like that.

usually it is enough to change the .dll reference in your code and recompile it.
you can also decide which diapi connection you use
when creating the company object

Key mapping problem in Intercompany Integration Solution for SBO

I am installing Intercompany integration solution 2.0 for SAP Business One in SBO 9.0 PL12. I installed Integration framewerk, have the several DB in the SLD, with test succesfull. I registered the addon in the databases, Installed the Intercompany integration solution scenarios. Everything ok. I also configured settings in SAP Business One with the Intercompany Initialization Wizard in all companys
I have the next problem. When doing key mapping, i try to continue mapping PaymentTerms but i click the button with ... dots and try to choose an option, it appears blanck, cannot select any optiion from the other database. I mark the button i prese and see the seleccioction window empty
When i try to Download Key Mapping Excel Template Data and select PaymentTerms, It saves a file with the next error (it has not a csv structure)
245 - Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '10 DIAS : 10' to data type int. - S0001 -
Any suggestions ?

Please ensure that in your Payment Terms code, no such special character has been used that are reserved by XML.This may cause conflict with the XML format and may lead to this issue.
Moreover, for analysis, you may provide with the list of common Payment Terms across your Intercompany participating companies.

Error while installing DI API (32 bit) for SBO 9.0 PL 05

Dear Experts ,
I'm trying to install version 9.0 (32 bit) on my machine (windows 7 64 bit) . Everything is installed successfully except DIAPI . I'm not able to install the DI API. I try to uninstall / install many times but without luck . Cleared the SAP folder, temp folder but still when it comes to DI API installation it just failed.
Any help would be much appreciated .

Thanks for your prompt reply. The installation setup is on my local machine and i have the local admin rights on machine machine. And I don't have any problem in installing other components including server tools, server and client etc.
Friday I changed my computer name keeping SBO 9.0 instructions in mind (not to include any special character in computer name) and then I uninstall sap 8.82 from control panel , everything related to SAP was removed. Then I try to install SAP 9.0 PL 05 .
Server tools -- > installed
Server -- >Installed
Client -- > installed
SDK -- > Installed
DI aPI (32 but ) -- > Error -- > Another version is already installed .
I looked in control panel again -- > nothing there.
Then i again uninstall everything (for V9.0) -- > delete sap folder from program files (x86) restart my system --> again same error regarding DI API.
This error was showing me the registry value so I search the registry and found there that DIAPI related version 8 is still there .
So I took registry backup and try to rename registry key and value but with no luck . Still i was not able to install DI API
So today morning I delete the all the references from registry related to that value (the one i was getting showing Another version is already installed). and I start getting this error i.e. the network related error which is 1316.
I restore the registry backup to Friday's backup and then again try to install but I'm getting 1316 error constantly.
Try to clean the registry and fix the registry errors with CC cleaner but nothing is happened still stuck with 1316 error.

G/L Account Determination Document for SBO 2007

I would like to find a document (word, excel or pdf) that explains the G/L Account Determination and its accounts. In which documents inside SBO are those account used? I see more accounts used in SBO 2007 and use trial and error to see these but preferred a document. I have seen the empowerment session about account determination but do not explain each of the accounts. Any help ?

g/l Account Determination ---> purchase ---> Expense Account
Define an expense account to be used as the default when a transaction of domestic purchasing is posted, for example, an A/P invoice. The system also selects this account as a default when you create new warehouses, item groups, and item master data records.
The expense account is applicable only when you use non-inventory items.
g/l Account Determination ---> purchase ---> Purchase Credit Account
Define an expense account to be used as default when a credit transaction for purchasing is created, for example, an A/P credit memo.
This account defaults for new warehouses, item groups and item master data records creation.
The purchase credit account can be the same as the Expense Account, in case you do not wish to record credits to a separate account.
Setup g/l Account Determination ---> inventory ---> Expense Clearing Account
Define an offsetting G/L account to clear journal entries created by A/P invoices and goods receipt POs. This G/L account is used in journal entries when the Allocation account is also involved.
Setup g/l Account Determination ---> inventory ---> Goods clearing Account
When you close goods receipt POs or goods returns, this account is used as an offsetting account to the Allocation account. In this case, the system does not register an inventory transaction; however, it creates a journal entry involving this G/L account.
Clearing account: An account to which postings are recorded temporarily because of a time gap between accounting transactions, organizational task distribution, or accounting transactions requiring clarifications.
No matter what kinds of clearing accounts, they will be temparary accounts per se.

Database restore from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 for SBO 2005B

Hi Everyone,
I am facing some problems in regards to the restore of SBO Database from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005.
Let me explain you the problem.
See I am using SAP B1 2005B with patch level 38 in my laptop with SQL 2000. I have made an company in this and done work in it as a production company and now I want to restore this company in the server which has SQL 2005. How to do it.
I have taken a backup in my laptop from SAP B1 Server Suite Manager which has SQL 2000 and sucessfully backed up but when I am trying to restore in the server which has SQL 2005 I am getting the following error in SQL 2005 in server :-
Restore failed for Server 'DXBAP001'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: Directory lookup for the file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\data\SBO_DCHAR.mdf" failed with the operating system error 3(The system cannot find the path specified.). (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)
Please let me know the solution for it.

Hi,
In SQL 2005 create a database and name as the 200 one was (though any name would do). when you create the database note the location of the .mdb and .ldf file.
once this had created right click on your new database > tasks > restore database
in the new window select from device and point it to your .bak file created from your 2000 system, ensure you put a tick in the restore box on the new line.
in the options tab tick overwrite database, and, change the file locations in the restore as directory to the file locations of the new database. the file names must be the same too.
you can change the original file names after the restore.
that should do the trick.

Creating addon installers for SBO 9.0 64-Bit (AddOnInstallAPI_x64)

Hi guys,
I experience some challenge getting my addon to install successfully on a 64-bit SBO 9.0
I noticed there are a couple of discussions touching on this very subject.
So I have successfully installed my addon on the 32-bit edition of SBO 9.0
My addon is built using VS2010 C# and the addon installer(setup) is built using InstallAware.
I use the very same setup script for my 64-bit compatible addon (btw, i can manually launch and run this addon successfully in 64-Bit SBO 9.0)
When I run the addon setup, it runs through to the end but i get an SBO system message 'Add-on XXX : Installation failed'
During the setup debug, I saw the commandline coming from SBO points to the 32-bit AddOnInstallAPI.dll instead of the 64-bit AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll
Could this be the cause of the 'installation failed' message?
If so, how can I get the commandline pointing to the 64-bit AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll?

Hello,
In the end, i used the 32-bit dll in a 64-bit installer and it worked ok.
Another point to remember is to call the EndInstallEx function (in my case, i was calling EndInstall)
Your installer should work ok after this.

Security guidelines for SBO

Hi Forum
I'm struggling with a task where I have to evaluate if our SBO installation is set up according to best practice and with the proper security settings, but I can't find any guidelines, in the SBO documentation.
I'm seaching for, some kind of tasklist to check, if e.g. default password has been changed, protection of the link to the database, check if the production client has been closed for customiziong, etc.
Does anyone in here have some ideas where I could find this.

Yes, but is there a client security requirements. I have a client that has their local workstations locked down. This means the user can not run the upgrade from their workstation and a network administrator must walk around to each workstation and upgrade them with an administrator userid.
Is there some security settings so that the network user can install the upgrade without giving them "power user" so they would be able to install all kinds of software?
I have checked the administrator guide and a few other places, but no luck.

Configuration change management for SBO !?!?

Hi friends,
Is there any "Change Management" tool or feature which could help to keep track of the changes made in the SBO configuration ?
I was wondering that if we could have all the configuration data in plain text, we could keep trak of the changes in the configuration by just diffing the file against the previous baseline.
Does any of you know whether it´s possible ? Or even have an on idea how to do this ?

Hi Paulo,
SBO does track changes to some configuration data. You can find this in the AADM table (which is the history log of the OADM table). This covers a lot of what's in the General Settings and Company Details windows. You can access the change log and see the previous setttings by choosing Tools--Show History from the top menu.
Alternatively, you could maybe use Copy Express to export configuration data in to an XML file. I'm not sure how user-friendly that would be in terms of easily seeing the differences.

There are no other batch scripts I am aware of, you will have to create any new ones.
In regards to backing up with business rules and planning, that would be mainly be backing up the repository.
You can also use LCM to export your objects and this can be called from command line.
