Hap_document to zhap_document in MSS scenario

Hi all,
I need to do some changes on hap_document BSPs, and for that I'd copied to zhap_document.
Now I'm trying to use that BSP application on MSS scenario 'Maintain Performance Documents', but when i click on the links of the table it opens me always the hap_document:

I already changed the bsp name on this iview:
portal_content/com.sap.pct/line_manager/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.pages/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.hcm/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.performance_document
But link always come with &Application=HAP_DOCUMENT& and opens me the wrong BSP.
Is it possible to change that?

Hi Luís Cruz,
You need to make the changes in two places one is the application
BSP Application: application name (in this case ZHAP_DOCUMENT) and
Start Page: start page of the application.
Try creating a new iView and from the template select BSP iView and try doing it.

Check It000 and IT0001 here u will get objects from OM and PA (position ID , Job Key, organisational Key)
and integration switch

For MSS,
Perner have the chief position in organization structure that you can create in transaction PP01 and for relation ship infotype you have tio create 012 relationship.
Infotype 0105 with subtype System User Name must exist

Implementing Adobe Document Services (ADS) in portal with MSS scenario

Hi,
Has anyone implemented the new MSS scenario (ECC 6.0) on NW 2004S yet? We're trying to implement ADS to show us the trip and travelforms in PDF and have hence followed the ADS config guide for this. We used Basic Authentication and I thought this was necessary for ADS to work at all. However, if we don't want GUI users to have to apply ADSUSER username and password all the time, how do we configure this? Simply revert all the changes we have done?
I realize this is a less secure approach, but we need a setup where no users need to type any username and passwords to view their travel or salary forms.

yes we have. However, the setup of the ERP system where we're implementing is a multi-client SAP installation. I don't know what impact this has on the issue?
If I test the ADS connection in SM59 it connects OK without asking me for user/pwd. But when looking at a tripform in GUI for any user he/she is requested to enter the username and password for the ADS before seeing the PDF tripform.
Any other ideas? Do you have a list of steps you have done in order for me to go over my configuration and see if there's an issue with the multiclient setup?

Multiple PERNR / PERSON ID Concept against MSS Scenario

I have a question from a portal perspective in retrospec with the whole Global Assignment functionality.
You and I know the Manager is able to view his/her employee via their PERNR. In situation where you activate global assignment, a person may have more than one PERNR, thus the central person / PERSON ID is the central linkages between them.
How is all of this done? Is there a way to change it so MSS use PERSON ID rather than PERNR?
Let say...
John Smith work in US and report to Robert Iger. He went on assignment to FRANCE for 8 months and report to William Jones, with that he got a second PERNR due to the assignment. During the 8 months he was under William Jones he receives 10k bonuses, performance review, etc...
When John Smith return home, since he had a second PERNR, his manager in FRANCE would've given him awards and reviews against the PERNR relavant while he was in FRANCE. How can Robert Iger see that information through his MSS portal? Normally he couldn't right? Since he don't have access

You may get both the persons by using P-CP relationship in an evaluation path. Then a manager can reach his reportee using O-S-P. And from this P (Personnel Number), one can find out who is the CP (Person ID) and then other related P's to this CP. So the Manager can see more than one P's in the team viewer in MSS.
I've not done it, so I am only speculating here. You can try and see if it works.
But even if you try to make it work using a different evaluation path, there may be issues related to authorizations. For example, if the manager is from US, to access this PERNR of France, he will need to have country-specific authorizations of France and US. And for manager of somebody who has been in 4-5 countries, how will the authorizations be assigned dynamically. But this issue will arise only if you are using country specific authorizations.

From a portal aspect is there a setting on how this is control or what have you guys see from your experiences around this situation?

I think you'll run into issues following that course of action. I can think of a possible code development that may address this but it sounds to me like they are very much saying "I want to have my cake. I want to eat it too, I dont want to make any changes to how I make cakes"
Basically to do what they're after you will need to rewrite the iview and you'll need some way to tie the various pernrs together taking into account every possible variable in their multiple HR records. Having said that, it sounds pretty easy....
imho, a tough business case to get this one developed.

Standard MSS Reporting scenario Country dependent

Hello,
If you already have all the templates and such configured then its easy. We don't have ESS and only one MSS scenario. However we support the web environment via BSP HAP_DOCUMENT. You can include our list pages in an Iview and assign that to the ESS or MSS scenario in the portal.
They also run stand alone, so you can test it as well without configuring the portal.

Iam new to sap . i want to practice various scenarios in ess/mss in my own pc which is installed with ecc 6.0 . what are the configuration to be made in ecc 6.0 for maintaining about 10-20 users for using ess/mss scenarios. i have a knowledge on webdynpro java and little knowledge on ep and using r/3 server. The 10-20 users created should be able to use ess/mss through portal .
So, list the steps configuring for 10-20 users for using ess/mss in ecc ides 6.0 server.

Adobe form not working after MSS Patch Upgrade

We have implemented ESS/MSS and in one of the MSS scenario to create a new personnel chnage request we have an Adobe interactive form (WD) which actually validates the users Social Security number by calling an RFC in the ECC 6.0 and updates the form's filed on the front end. There was an issue of "Expired SSO Ticket" and to resolve this SAP recommended to apply SAP_JTECHS (SAPJTECHS13P_14-10003467) and SAP_JTECHF (SAPJTECHF13P_15-10003468) patches to fix the problem. But after applying these patches Adobe form for PCR has stopped working and it just gets hanged, form appears on the front end and when user enters the values and hit enter to validate, it doesnt communicate with the Backend ECC system only the SAP status picture keeps rotating, i turned the trace ON and checked it, its not at all communicating with the ECC system. Where as in other systems where we have not appplied the pacthes, those are working fine. One of the error i noticed in the server log is as below:

We had the same issue after the Patch update to SP17 in both Backend as well in Portal, to resolve my colleagues had a look at the standard forms which were working and found that because of the patch update the script used in the custom forms was changed and not the standard and
on event trigger which was processed in the container they replace the script to the standard one. and it started working.
But this is not the solution we are looking at solution on having the same version of script as in the standard even after the patch update.
So to your point to resolve compare the scripts in both standard and customized forms and do the same.
And also have a look at the SAP Note: 1109392
.... this is a temporary solution.....

Reports available in the Business Package for MSS and ESS

I have searched sdn.sap.com throughout looking for a comprehensive list of reports available in the business packages for both MSS and ESS, i got a little bit of joy and found some of the MSS reports but not all on sdn.sap.com, can anyone please advise where i would find such information on both these packages, just to re-iterate, i am looking for a list of reports these business packages offer? any help much appreciated.

(1) ESS- We built our own custom PORTAL role/workset in which one of the worksets we created is called "Tools and Forms". Under that workset, we placed various pages/iViews that either are simple URL iViews that link to external documents and such (like vacation request forms since they do not do online leave requests yet) as well as a couple ot t-code iViews that run reports in ECC for the employee. Nothing very mind blowing there. Just some content creation on the portal side.....oh, and some config on the backend to create a Homepage Framework Area Page and all for it (I liked that part!)
(2) Wow....talk about perfect timing...I just had to document the way MSS sees the MDT reports in it's "reporting" area yesterday! haha Here goes the quick explaination....in configuration for MDT, you have various "scenarios". These kinda determine which "groups" of reports will show in MDT. For MSS for the Reporting webdynpro/service, the scenario is RPT0 (in ECC 5.0, at least). Soooo if you look at the function CODES assigned to RPT0, you will see several for Training and one for Accounting (Cost Centers)...you can reference the function CODES listed back to the "pool"/library of function codes a bit up/previous in the same config area for MDT(I think it is called "Define Function Codes"). However, there is one more piece you will see listed under RPT0....it is a DIRECT call to function MODULE "HR_HIS_READ" (this was a bugger to find because I could not find the "Maternity" report listed in the function codes and had to figure out where the heck it was coming from! haha). Anyways....what the function MODULE actually does is call the HR Information System (HIS) passing it the RPT0/MSS scenario. This returns the particular reports for Employee Data and Time&Attendance. You can see this if you run the HR_HIS_READ function directly and enter RPT0 for the second input value (first and third are not needed or you can just enter "*". Sooooo that is how the "magic" happens. Hope that explained it. From there, you can simply config you own scenario/reports to add into MSS if you like.

work flow is getting triggered to the Line manager (chief) and so on to next agents
How can we make use of substitution in following scenarios
scenario1- planned leave by Line manager (I think this can be done using substitution in MSS)
Scenario 2- Unplanned leave by Line manager
scenario 3- position of Line manager is vacant
The workflow i am using is not a standard woprkflow.
The above scenarios are applicable in case of leave approval and trip request approval.

For scenario 1: Use substitution rule "receives my tasks" when setting up substitutions in the uWL
For scenario 2: All managers should have a substitution rule "is my substitute". Then the substitute can go into the substitution rule and take over the tasks. This can then be discontinued when manager is back
For scenario 3: Switch WFLOW VAPOS = X determines the behaviour when manager position is empty. . For some reason the switch is not there in standard - but we set it just for this scenario. The Workflow then checks up the hierachy and finds the next manager.

Problem printing Smarform from document_print.htm in HAP_DOCUMENT

I copied the BSP HAP_DOCUMENT to ZHAP_DOCUMENT
The buton print has a javascript like this

So my cuestion is
There is a way to retrieve that APPLICATION
o to change the "default folder" where the application is.

MSS PCR Error

Our ESS/MSS Scenario is as follows
Host 1 - WAS JAVA / Portal 6.0 / BP for ESS/MSS
Host 2 - WAS JAVA / WebDynpro / XSS 5.0 / Adobe Document Services
Host 3 - ECC5.0
SSO + UME configured to use ECC5.0 as the User source as without which the Portal wouldn't work with the Webdynpro on another host. Portal is the Ticket issuer. Certain functionality of ESS Works. In short ESS User & MSS Users can log in using the user source in ECC5.0.
In MSS, when I go to Personnel Change Request -> New Change Request. Select an Employee -> Next step. Then select a form (Seperation for example). I get the following Error
Imp - I have configured ADS, but not the SSL part of the configuration.
Is the SSL config required even though we are using only http and not https?
Running the test program FP_PDF_TEST_00 doesn't show the version number? If it shows the version number, does it mean that the configuration of ADS is completely done?
Is there anything else needs to be done for PCR to work....
I have also created the FP_ICF_DATA HTTP Destination on the Host1 & Host2, but not sure how this will work in this scenario.
