Happy 2nd Birthday! We can’t believe that we’ve reached our 2nd birthday already – doesn’t seem like 12 months since we had out last birthday celebrations!
We’ve a few things planned for our birthday celebrations this year, including:
1. Updated homepage formatting
- based on your feedback we have reduced the amount of info at the top of the homepage so the boards appear higher up the page. We’ve also changed the order so the most popular categories are at the top. We hope you like it!

dear community, i´m just wondering about a shuffle 2nd gen in the colour GOLD. i bought it new and sealed in the usa via ebay but couldn´t find any information that apple ever produced the 2nd gen ipod shuffle in this colour. it isn´t gold plated but "gold coloured" (like the silver one but in gold ). can anyone tell me something about this item. thanks a lot thomas

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

30EA1: 2nd instance of the sql developer delivers no query results

the first instance works like expected, the 2nd one doesn't delivers any result in queries and in the Messages i found that Error:
SEVERE 43 0 Error while registering Oracle JDBC Diagnosability MBean.

well - the main reasons have been already discussed; another intresting one
(i don't know if somebody else was already running into it): sometimes i start e.g. a long running pl-sql block in the window
Then i go back to e.g. the code editor to take a look on another part of the code which i want to edit - then the sql developer freezes
(i think because something is executed through the main connection - and unfortunatly the main session is already executing something)
When the pl-sql block is finished i can use the sql developer instance again; but in the meantime i need another instance
in my regular work i use 3-4 instances of the sql developer
(like mentioned above - to prevent myself by modifying the productive db during i am working on the
development one in the same schemas, to work on another topic which a customer asked me without loosing my old work or because a window freezed)
Here an idea (i know - maybe it is dirty) - the sql developer could open always 2 connections - one for the communication of the tool to the database (which can't be used by a window)
and one for the window (sure - i am aware that i can open an unshared connection window, but sometimes i just forget to do that)
Another benefit of that: currently a lot of statements are sent through the connection - if i want to trace something i have to do it in the sqlplus because these statements are messing up my trace
however - i took a look into the new version and i am quite impressed, a lot of new cool features

It's our last clue today - make sure you use all the clues to find the pics to enter the competition!
In Clue 2 we mentioned sticky threads on the Vision board. There are sticky threads on every board – worth checking them out as they have help and advice on solving the most common queries we see.

How to set up the communication channel for third party idoc

Hello,
I am trying to send an idoc from an sap 4.6c system to an third party system. The third party system is supporting idcos with trfc.
My problem is to set up the communication channel in the integration builder (configuration) for the third party system. The idoc is waitung in XI to transport.
My settings are:
adapter type: idoc
transport protocol: idoc
message protocol: idoc
adapter engine: integration engine
rfc destination: xyz (is working fine)
interface version: sap release 4.0 or higher
port: ??
sap release 46c
My problem is the port. should i set up a port in idx1? But the third party is not an sap system and so i dont have a client.
On the xi i have defined a port in transaction we21 (transactional rfc) for the third party with my rfc destination xyz. But if i enter that port in communication channel i got error messages.

yes, you have to mainztain that port in idx1.
First ypi load the rfc-metadata from an SAP referenzsystem and afterwards copy this metadata to the third party port.
For further details check the onlinedocumentation "IDoc Processing with the IDoc Adapter" XI -> runtime -> adapter

Getting birthdays in the next 30 days

Hello,
i have a database which is filled with information about all the people you know. One of the columns in the database is the birthday of this person.
Now i would like to know which persons gonna have their birthday in the next 30 days.
If it is possible I would get these persons with 1 SQL-Query but I think it is not that obvious.
Another way is to get all birthdays and process them with Java code which I know how to do this, but I think it will be more efficient with 1 SQL-Query.
But the problem with the SQL-Query is that you must not take the year into account, only the day and months.
Does anyone have an SQL-Query which can accomplish this?
Btw: I'm using an Apache Derby database.

I was planning to use the BETWEEN function, but the problem is that the day of birth is stored in the database, so for example this could be a date in the year 1980. This year should be converted to the current year and then compared with the system date (difference of 30 or with the between function).

My ipod (2nd generation) on the 4.2.1 software wont let me download any apps. it keeps saying waiting for like 5 seconds then just disapears. HELP PLEASE?!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support
Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

Back up all data.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

I am unable to connect to the internet, there is a pop-up that says "We're sorry, but the Safari browse version you are currently using dos no support the community toolbar". My computer does say that it is connected to the internet until I open Safari.

I am unable to connect to the interent. At the top of the screen my computer says that I am connected. When I open up Safari there is a pop up that say "Community Toolbar We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar" and when the Safari page opens up it says "You are not connected to the Internet. Safari can't open the page .... because your computer isn't connected to the Internet." I have tried Network Diagnostics and tried to reset Sfari, empty Cache as well as deleted all of my interent history. I am unable to use Time Machine because I never set it up. If someone knows how to help I would very much appreciate it!!
