every negative experience is an opportinity to learn. deleting or moderating these experiences would be turning away the chance to learn. as long as users follow the participation rules, we allow even the most negative posts to remain.
as you said, forums are inherently negative by nature as users typically come here to solve a problem. those of us who try to solve the problems are in the minority. we certainly appreciate users such as yourself who voluntarily return to the forum to help out, especially those who initially came here to solve a problem themselves.

Hello and Thank You for your help!, I recently uninstalled malware from my computer. Since then I cannot open my gmail account and retrieve my email. ail.

I removed the ASK tool bars from my computer and since then I keep being told the cookies is either enabled or disabled. I refreshed Firefox and that solved nothing it just erased somethings that I setup on my desktop. I'm not dump but I'm not that well versed in resolving this issue and I don't want to make matters worse.......please help! And thank you so much! One more thing......I can still retrieve my email using Explorer but chose not to because of the lack of support for XP which is what I have. Again Thank You

Good afternoon and thank you John99!... for the reply and advice to my problem the other day. To give some insite to the issue I presented...the ASK toolbar was somehow downloaded onto my laptop and I not knowing that it was as malware and dangerous to my computer at first I left there. I did not like the fact that it was there and how it seemed to take over my setup. Well I looked into it which was fairly easy and found out what I did about Mindspark...not good! I also discovered while trying to solve the problem after receiving you responseto this problem that JAVA ORACLE can carry the Ask toolbar thru their updates. When OKed an update I found it wanting to add the ASK toolbar. I know that in the past I have not allowed other things that carry the ASK toolbar to download this because I liked what I had already setup. Well some where along the way it got downloaded. Anyway...I tried what you had suggested and nothing has changed. I receive email's thru Exployer and bring up my desktop to get onto Mozilla. This is not working!!! I just want to get onto Firefox, click into gmail and anything else I want and use it!..I can assure you that the one thing I cannot do is get into my gmail. It wants to tell my about my cookies...I have pressed all the right buttons and this is not solving anything at all. I was wandering that if I remove Firefox and download it again will this solve the problem. And will I be able to use all the same information or will I find it telling me that someone else already has that email, password, name, etc. because it did not clear everything when I removed Firefox from my computer? Remember, I'm not an expert on computers so any information you may have or suggestions you can give would be highly appreciated but step by step details are also welcome and needed! My note on my ipad and Iphone have an index of the notes to the left on my copnuter! I wanted to only print the index and the date after the index. The computer would allow me to print the note but not the date it was indexed or the title to the left! of the index date! Has anyone ever had this problem! I am changing laptops and wanted to keep an index printed out for references but delete all the notes from this old notebook!
Please note my Ipad automatically changed to the ios7 update even when the Iphone 5 was with my spouse in Norfolk Va. I had purchased an iphone 5 in feb with 32 gb verses 16 I was happy with it until I thought I was updating itunes to fix bugs and fixes. It updated the ios7 program and the whole look of the iphone five changed and I am over 58 and have trouble keeping up and did not want to update! I callled and had 436 days of insurance left on my phone and I asked them to keep te money for the upgrade and just give me back the 6ios. of course it is know. Apple was trying to helpe get up to speed but the calendar was given me the most difficulty not being able to see appts forward enough to plan very well! My spouse is retiring from the DOD and for the first time in his life can have his on cell so I gave him my 5 and still had my old 4 got my ios6 back and just now the phone is feeling pretty comfortable again for me. The only thing missing is siri i do miss her! I never anticipated that my ipad would change to the ios7 on its on but the applestore in Tampa said that yes that happens oops! I now will try to self educate myself on the ios7. I love my ipad but wish it had not jumped to the 7ios. big problem again is I have is on my 5 it wasa a 32 and I have double or the max of icloud storage but just learned at the apple store that icloud does not store your photos on the cloud. I am a grandmother and the soul pupose of me purchasing so much icloud storage was for my grandkids pics and now I found out you guys don't do this. Where do you store the photos for people? Help! have mercy on me because even though the 436 days of service from Icloud left on my iphone 5 my spouse is the only one that can use it even tho my ipad automatically switched to the ios 7. She said it just happens! The service center nearest available to me is 1 hour away and I need an appt. With them to ask a simple question!. Time is a commodity that is becoming more dear to me every day and it seems I am spending a great deal of it trying to solve a somewhat simple question to the experts no more than a 3 minute conversation could set me on the right track but I can't even buy insurance service for my ipad that just converted to ios 7 on its's own! I can't receive my orders, and I waited 30 minutes three times when dialing the support hotline and nobody picks up the phone! FYI I am very annoyed now, and thank you for coming back to me ASAP!

This is the worst ordering experience I ever come across with in my life thursfar!
I've placing an order with two iPad mini (W4*****638), and the first one was delivered to me on Monday, however, the second one never arrives. And Apple has triggered an email asking me to call the support hotline 800908988 to provide the correct address in three days, otherwise the order will be rejected and 15% charges will be applied!
The following things made me really annoyed:
1. Why did it comes in two seperate orders as oppose to one?
2. I phoned the hotlines over three times (within the office hours) and each time waited for more than 30 minutes (before my next meeting starts and I have to cut off the line) with no response! I am not exaggerating!
3. I didn't even receive an unanswered phone call, so I don't know under what grounds that it claims I provided the wrong address (given that the first iPad was delivered successfully). On that front, attitude of the DHL delivery man of the first order was very rude, and if you want to trace back
Please kindly help address, otherwise, please let me know where I can escalate this issue.

When I open Firefox I get an error saying "Connection was reset". I went through the articles and did what they said for a situation like this but it didn't fix it. However you can help would be most appreciated. Thank you for your time. Tyron

It also says underneath "Connection was reset" "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." Despite doing what the articles said to do in this situation it hasn't solved it yet.

HI, and thank you for your reply. I am a bit confused however as I would have thought that once I turned off the engine of my car the transmitter and ipod would be also off???? Is there still power coming into the cigarette lighter when the car is off>????? i have a mercedes c class. The cigarette lighter is still working and the transmitter is still working. Are you saying that by leaving them still plugged in even though the car was idle and not running it still destroyed the hard drive???? Also could this happen if a person leaves it docked in a radio cd player but is not listening to it, is it still charging and could this have burned out the hard drive. (i always left it docked) until i bought the transmitter for the car.
Your thoughts would be much appreciated as obviously I do not want to make the same mistake again.

the message i-tunes says that there is a problem downloading the software for the iphone.. unknown error occurred (9006).It also says make sure your network settings are correct and network connection is active...... i have no clue to what that mean?
It also says that my phone is iOS 4.3.5 also what would happen if I pressed the restore iphone? would I lose everything?

Either they're being sent to a different email address, or got caught in a spam filter, or something's wrong at Apple's end. If you can't find the email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions, which can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.

Did you remove Quicktime X?
On a normal install Quicktime 7 is installed in the Utilities folder and Quicktime Pro in the main Applications folder.
You will need to reinstall OS X to get Quicktime X back if you have deleted it.
I notice yor profile says 10.5.8. Quicktime X is only available on 10.6 and above.

You can have more than one category - this page shows you how the tags are formed:

The Store will list only the first category and its sub-category at the top of the page. Like the first category, the others will in theory make your podcast available for searching by category. However searching just on the category in the iTunes Store is most unlikely to throw up your podcast.
