Happy Days Again,, v8.1.1 & v8.2 Are Gone!!!

I got rid of all problematic versions of "v8.whatever" that I tried....... Man-O-man, I've been using iTunes since 2003 and did OK 'till the versions 8. Lost songs, lost iTunes Store songs, got the old beach-ball at weird times, but what made me the most crazy was iTunes always tried to connect to iTunes store even if I did not want it to. Kinda like it "v8" needed "mommy" to function.
I just think that the versions from 8.1 up have gotten too big for their britches and DO need to go back to "mommy" for some more potty training.
Anyway,, I did a complete uninstall of iTunes v8 and deleted a few other iTunes files then downloaded v7.7.1 and installed it.....Imported my "MusicLibrary.xml" and all was recovered.
WOW!!! I'm back in business and all is well in my music world!!! Still love iTunes, but just not the "v8's".
I would like to thank all that posted suggestions about reverting to an older version... I used bits and pieces of each to get me back running.... MOST HELPFUL was a post by "Barbara Daniels 1" with her suggestions of other files to delete and their locations. Very important!

Oh, I don't use an iPhone of any "G" so v7 will be fine for what I need iTunes to accomplish.

Try simply terminating and restarting Safari:
1. Press the Home button
2. Double click the Home button to bring up the "Recent Apps" tray.
3. Touch and hold on the Safari icon in the "Recent Apps" tray until a "-" appears.
4. Touch the "-" to terminate Safari.
5. Restart Safari and see if your Bookmarks are back.

Computer said start up disk is almost full a few days ago and now the locked files are gone or something like that. All I have is the pink and purple space screen and nothing else.

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.

What exactly happened? Did you have a Time Machine backup?

I was very worried losing all my medical stuff on my iPad Air 2, plus i have nothing to use for the next day! So i have to try all the possible things i read on the internet!! And this worked on my part (Thank God, and thank you Google)
Perform a hard reboot
Hold down the Home button and Power button on your iPhone or iPad and keep holding them until you see the Apple logo. Once you do, you can let go. When your device boots back up, go ahead and check to see if the apps have started re-downloading. If they still appear to be stuck, continue on.

FCP X deleted about 2/3 of events to a project and the project. I uploaded the project to vimeo from FCP X, and the next day when I tried to use FCPX, they were gone, the events are gone from fcp and my ext hd, the project is still on the ext hd.

No, I don't have identical projects on a second drive, only saving to the movies folder on internal HD. The files and media save there fine, but fcp doesn't seem to recognise them the next day, just opens with one new untitled event and no projects.
I have tried saving to en external HD tonight and will see if the problem happens again with this set up when I restart tomorrow.
But I should be able to save to internal HD, so something is going wrong...

I just called the guy who changed my LCD and asked him what happend, he said there were no pictures on your phone when you gave it to me! i know he is lying tho!

First, try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

Stop using the drive immediately, un plug it.
Buy a copy of ProSoft DataRescue 4 and use it to search for deleted files.

1. Have you applied sync settings for music to be synced to the iPhpne?

My Mozilla toolbar was messed up and I managed to get it back how I like it and shut it down. When I used my PC the next day ALL my years of bookmarks are gone!

I accidentally messed up how my Mozilla toolbar looks. After hours of searching on how to put it back I did what the help tab said.
I continued to use my PC the rest of the day with no issues, especially my bookmarks. I turned the PC off for the night and when I turned it on the next day ALL of my years of bookmarks were gone. I have zero PC savvy and my PC terminology is limited. I literally had years of bookmarks in my folders some I cannot remember where I found them. Can I retrieve them at all? If so, how using basic English and pictures?
