i must say that the WET610N has done wonders for my gaming console! i've also used it on my desktop to get it to go wireless and did not have any problems. my devices are located at different levels of the house so that should say something about the range that it covers. my main router is a Linksys to begin with so that may be a plus. i hear interoperability is better when the devices are of the same manufacturer. more importantly, i made sure my main network was configured properly. i have channel width set to standard/ 20mhz with channel set to 9. for security, i have wpa2/ aes for a faster and more secure connection. i am also running the latest firmware on both my router and the bridge to address minor bugs, if any.
i guess it all boils down to optimizing your wireless network settings to lessen, if not eliminate, wireless interference as it will cause dropouts. you may want to try the settings i mentioned above and do get that firmware upgrade for your devices. good luck!

Images burn into the screen after being there for only a few minutes?

What's wrong with my mac if images burn into the screen after being there for only a few minutes?
I can have an icon, like a folder or something, on my desktop for only a few minutes and then when I move it an image of it will be burned into the screen for another few minutes. Same thing happens with having a webpage open for a few minutes or word document. What part of my computer is malfunctioning and is Apple responsible for repairing it?

Does it happen on all desktops applications as well as Modern UI Apps? Since this issue only happened recently, I suspect a newly-installed third party program causes this issue, please check these programs if possible.
We can also boot into clean boot mode, test the issue.

Plain Text URL links not working in the Windows 8 Mail App for only one account.

Hello,
I just started using a Surface Pro, and randomly one of the accounts I have setup in the "Modern" Mail app stopped parsing the pain text URL path that was included in them. Specifically links to forum discussions. I have 4 other Win
8 devices and they display the links fine.
More confusing is this issue happens ONLY with my O365 mail account and only on one PC. I have an Outlook.com account and it renders the pain text URL as a clickable link, but when I send the same email to my O365 account it just shows up as
text, no link generated. All in the same Windows 8 Mail App.
I ran the Windows 8 App Troubleshooter, I've reinstalled the Mail app, I've removed and re-added the mail account. Nothing fixes this. Anyone know why?

Same problem for us, the link is also not rendered, if the mail is sent to an on-premise Exchange server.
Its only for plain-text messags, HTML-messages work fine.
Why is this problem ignored? The app is useless with that limitation.

Message tracking fails with 'The server software doesn't support the type of search requested' for only a SINGLE user in org

Ok this is a weird one. Message tracking works fine for all my users except for one where I get the above message. I've tried stopping/restarting the transport services and renaming the tracking log but no luck. Any ideas?

Updated and resolved for my situation:
I called MS Premier and this is now resolved for my issue with a workaround. The technician is going to submit a bug fix but basically he found another bug ticket from summer 2009 that stated "if the mailbox has more than 49 proxy addresses entered within
the Email addresses tab the search command will fail".
We re-tested a few failed search mailboxes by removing unnecessary proxy addresses from that tab the searches worked fine.
Hope this helps others.

This resolved the issue I was having as well - the recipient I was trying to track for had a ton of extra smtp addresses that were not needed. Removing them fixed the issue.

I read about how you can no longer fax after upgrading to Windows 8. I have a couple of my own suggestion that might help!
1. Uninstall the Printer Software
2. Restart the PC
3. Reinstall the driver for Windows 8 here: HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers
Also, try the troubleshooting steps from this guide: Cannot Send or Receive Faxes
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you, such as a replacement or trade in. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and if you are calling outside of the US/Canada region,: click here.

How to modify the ni 9237 example code for 3 9237 modules

I am wanting to modify the ni 9237 example vi(for only one module) for three 9237 modules.
I have tried several approaches but it does not seem to work well.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

There are my files. Thanks in anticipation. This code is modified for only 2 ni 9237 modules. I bet it would be a logical extention upon making it work for 2 modules.

I know this is way off topic, but just wanted to say happy holidays to everyone and especially to the iTunes U team ... Eric, Miguel, Thomas, the other people I met at WWDC whose names I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten (but I swear I remember each of you!) ... and Duncan, of course! And to all the other people at Apple that makes iTunes U so cool ... Scott Morris, George Cook, Jason Edinger .. dunno who does what exactly, but you guys are the greatest. So stop worrying about XSDs and web services for a couple of days and have some fun already! Also happy holidays to you guys that hang in the forums ... Ken Newquist and Dave (a.k.a "ramen") and all the others I've learnt so much from. You guys are the hardest working bunch of people any university could hope to have!

One of our community members shared a knowledge nugget with me in Twitter: "that my own holiday, Channukah, has some traditions like Diwali (burning an oil lamp)" for example.
This year was the first time in my life that we did that (rather than just light candles which we did as well).

I am happy with the CC format- it works for me

There are a million and one negative threads about the new CC stuff. But I wanted to start a thread with a different tone.
I realize that the majority of those in the forum probably see the CC change as a negative one. And in complete honesty, I understand their reasons, and even AGREE with them. The lack of an exit strategy from the cloud is a problem, though Adobe does say they are working on a solution. The place I work has no plans on upgrading to CC, though it's only maybe 10 users that are affected.
But on a personal level, the CC option is a huge blessing to me. Though I do work in an environment where software is provided for me(we're currently on CS 5.5), with a new baby on the way and daycare costs taking up half my salary, I am ramping up my freelance business again as sometime in the next year, I'll probably become a stay at home dad.
I've never been able to afford the Adobe suites outright. My wife and I do have a certain amount of personal money set aside each month to spend, but it's very difficult to come up with enough to purchase the suites.
So when I saw that I could get everything for $30 a month for the first year(I do have a CS3 or above product registered), I was very happy. As somebody trying to get my freelance business running full speed again, this is a perfect opportunity for me to get into the Adobe software outside of my place of employment. And if things go well, the $50 a month after that won't be a problem. If I'm not making enough to afford $50 a month, then I'm probably not running the best business and probably won't be needing the tools for long.
So this arrangement works perfectly for me. I do web design AND video/motion graphics editing, so having everything at my disposal is ideal.
So in the sea of negativity that exists here in the forums(and not for bad reasons), I just wanted to say that I'm happy with this. Adobe have provided a way for me, who doesn't have a ton of money flowing in, to get into the great tools I already know and love. And in my view, at least temporarily, if I'm finding success, the continued fee is more than justifiable. So I want to say thank you to Adobe for providing this opportunity.
Now, if I can please ask that this thread doesn't turn into yet another one of the already extensive number of threads bashing CC, and hopefully others who are thankful for this plan can chime in. Maybe nobody will, but I'm sure there are others out there. I just don't want this to degenerate into the same thing you can read in every other topic. Yes, I know that when I want to get off "the cloud", there are things to consider. I'm aware, and I accept that. Let's leave it at that.

Thank you for that post, and the advice. I just happen to be one of those who it does work for. I've been around long enough to know that CC isn't going to work for everyone(the large publishing/radio/web company I work for isn't upgrading to CC because of the costs involved). But it does for me as I potentially venture out into the full-time freelancing world and away from the more structured big office environment. I can't make decisions based on what is best for anyone else, or what will hurt or help Adobe. Just what affects me, and that's all.

Your first statement explains the second statement. To use the German iTunes Store, you need to prove that you're a resident of Germany (that is required by the content owners who will not allow cross-border sales) and the only way Apple can provide such a verification is by requiring that you enter in either a German credit card or a German-purchased iTunes prepaid card. Since I presume the former is not a possibility, you'll need to do the latter if you wish to purchase content from the iTunes Store. Again, this is not Apple's choice but is forced on them by the content owners as a requirement for Apple being allowed to sell the content. The EU is working on regulations that would force the content owners to allow access pan-EU, but that's still in the works.
You do not need an iTunes Store account to activate and run your iPad, though; at least, I didn't need one for either of my two iPads. If you only want to set up an account so you can get free iPad apps, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.
