Hard disk access denied after decryption of bit locker password

i was using Bitlocker as a security purpose for a month but today i was removing the bitlocker password ,while decryption of the Hard disk it stop at 45% and stop there ...after some time i pause the decryption and remove the drive.... when i again insert
into usb... it is just showing the device but no memory space and when i click to open it,it shows access denied iam in trouble becoz it contain 150 gb of my important data ..plz help me..

Slow hard disk access --- still wonky

Recently i've noticed that hard disk access has become very laggy, to the point
where it's driving me crazy.
For example, if i want to tab-complete through my directories, i have to wait a
few seconds each time. Similarly with saving files in vim, or just using
firefox, which seems to suffer frequent hangs while the disk is spinning.
I tried downgrading the kernel to 3.4.something, to no avail (it definitely used
to work just fine with the old kernels). I've also tried adding "commit=60" to
my fstab to reduce journalling access.
I ran bonnie++ and the following results came back:

which (by comparison with other results i've seen online) seem to indicate
there's nothing particularly wrong with the disk (it's a toshiba 7200rpm, i
think).
So i'm at a bit of a loss what to do next. I've attached my dmesg output. If
anyone has any suggestions, that would be awesome.

Arf -- i noticed firefox was still laggy last night, and on a (second or third) reboot this morning, things are back to being laggy even without having run firefox...

The lag tends to occur when first tabbing into a directory. On the second time
tabbing through things seem to be fast -- i guess that's cached somewhere.
editedit: i also tried switching back to initscripts, with no improvement, so i guess systemd is off the hook for the remaining problems

Access denied after updating to Adobe reader 11.0.2

Today I updated to the latest version of Adobe Reader. Afterwords I can no longer use it, it says access denied. I have trioed to remove and reinstall, without solving the problem. I have also checked my Flash Player, but it says that the latest version is already installed. What is this??? I need Adobe reader to work properly ASAP!
My computer is a HP Pavilion dm1 Notebook and I have Windows 7 home premium installed. And Microsoft Windows.

The error message is: There was an error opening this document. Access denied.
Both when I click directly on a pdf document in the files and when I try to open from inside the program.

New Virtual hard disk wizard hangs after creating new vhd from huper-v manager on windows 7 workstation.
Windows 2008r2 hosts the hyper-v server. I can create VMs and VHD's when connecting to the server locally with the hyper-v manager.
The issue arises when I try to connect to the hyper-v server from my workstation which runs windows 7.
I have installed The Windows6.1-KB958830-x64-RefreshPkg.msu that was suggested for windows 7 sp1.
I can connect to the hyper-v server, create vm's but I cannot create vhd's the gui just hangs with no errors in event log or on screen.
The files are there on the hyper-v hard drive but i suspect they are just created by windows as they are written and are not valid.

I've had just the same solution. Both did Hang Fixed size and flexible.
Two parts were taken:
1 - KB939820 for Windows 2003 server based domain controllers
2 - disable using IPv6 on your NIC
Result - both types of VHD's are created normaly.

Excessive hard disk access

Using Firefox (latest version) on OS X 10.6.8.
I was on MapQuest, "get directions," adjusting a route repeatedly, when Firefox began a very long hard disk access. I closed a couple of other programs which at first I thought were the culprit. When I tried to quit Firefox (using Apple-Q) it would not quit. I finally used Force Quit (from right-click on the dock icon) and the HD access stopped.
When I restarted Firefox it automatically went back to MQ and the HD access again resumed. I closed the MapQuest window (which was VERY slow to respond) and again quit FF as above.
When I again opened FF, it opened a blank window (my "Home" is a blank window, "about:blank") and resumed the non-stop HD access. I quit again, moved Firefox.app to the trash, reinstalled from the Mozilla web site, started it again, and the same thing happened.
I have not yet deleted my user data because I don't want to lose my bookmarks and cookies.

The applet is running on the clients machine and if the user accepts the certificate of a signed applet it has full access to the machines file system. For saving files the user needs the rights to write into a certain folder.

Unfortunately if you lose the password and the recovery key you are not able to decrypt and access the information, that is the sole purpose of BitLocker.

I'm afraid .. Things will not get going well if you have lost recovery key + password..You have to export it while you are turning
bitlocker on.. If the key and the password is lost, no recovery
I suggest you to type the passwords as you can remember.. and try commonly used passwords by you..

Hard Disk Access

I suddenly had problems writing to my hard disk attached to my airport extreme, so I connect it to my computer and got this:
The Alias "Einstein"(The Hard Disk) can't be opened because the original item can't be found. Do you want to:
Delete Alias/Fix Alias/OK
I went to verify the disk, and was told it needed repairing, so I repaired it, and it now says it doesn't need repairing, however I still get the same problem.
The strangest thing is that I CAN still access it - I went through terminal and it has no problem accessing and opening files, but the finder refuses time and time again, even after relaunching it or remounting the drive.
I don't have the space to back up the drive fully. It's a 1TB drive, and I have a second 1TB drive, but that one is used as a Time Machine drive, and it backs up a small part of the drive that I have the problem with, but I dont have the space to back up everything...

You could try running the Apple Hardware Test to gain additional confirmation that your drive is good, and you could use Disk Warrior to try to repair it additionally. Also you might consider two other alternatives. First, consider the trade off between losing everything and purchasing a new 1 TB. You might want to purchase a new drive. The other possibility is trashing your TM backup. You can always start over with TM. With either of the last two possibilities, you apparently could use terminal to copy from the questionable drive to another drive.

HARD DISK NOT WORKING AFTER MOTHER BOARD REPLACEMENT

Mother board of my laptop had to be replaced. meanwhile i had used hard disk from my laptop as external hard disk without formatting. After replacement of motherboard i have reconnected the same hard disk without formatting. but system does not boot up to operating system.

I have this issue before, in my case, its ribbon cable issue. dv9000 have two ribbon cables the one that have broken is the long one, (connect mobo to switch panel). However there is other possibility that the switch panel also broken.
Try buying the ribbon cable first, it is much cheaper compared to switch panel.

Hard disk not detected after formatting bootcamp partition

I am using rEFIt (with OSX, Fedora 13, and Windows7) on my MacBook. I formatted the BootCamp partition (Windows7) using DiskUtility because I wanted to revert back to WindowsXP. After reformatting I rebooted my MacBook but I cannot get to see the rEFIt options. I used the Installation DVD that came with the MacBook, opened DiskUtility and I cannot see my hard disk on the available disks. Need help badly... Thanks!

The tests from the Assistant are not as comprehensive or reliable as the full hard drive test in the BIOS....tap F10 as you power up, go in there and find the hard drive test. Run the long form test and see what is says. It is not unusual for hard drive issues to start as intermittent and gradually get more frequent. If your drive passes the long form test you can fairly safely assume it was a one-time gremlin of some sort, but it is still a real good idea to back up. I like the idea of the online backup services and I will name Carbonite only because it is well known and not as an endorsement. There are several more and an external drive is also a good idea.
You cannot put off a reboot forever; you are going to have to confront the issue at some point.

Hard disk access to applet

I have made a signed applet.. my trouble is this applet needs access to the client hard disk as it save the file transfered from the server to a perticular location. I do not want to change the policy file for each client. Can anybody tell me how to solve this problem of accessing the local disk?

"GRUB HARD DISK ERROR" possibly after update

Hi!
I rebooted my com to a GRUB HARD DISK ERROR after fiddling with wine and updating through pacman. Even the grub menu isn't shown... it just stuns there. Previously, I killed X server a few times using Ctrl+Alt+Backspace... i suspect maybe pacman was still updating when i did that or sth.
However, the files on the disk are still accessible, when i booted with knoppix. Not really sure what caused this. Any ideas greatly appreciated...

Managed to get in fine with super grub boot disc. Any idea how i should proceed? Reinstall grub or sth?
My pacman log shows that there had been a successful kernel update and...

File Error: Access Denied After Installing FCP X on FCP 7 Drive

Hi, after foolishing installing FCPX on the same har drive as FCP7 (I know against all sane advice and recommendations) I now get File error: Access Denied when trying to save work under FCP 7.
Does anyone have any advice re resolving this issue.
Would be much appreciated, I'm loathe to do a full reinstall if I can possibly avoid it

Have you run software update and repaired premissions?
Was FCPX installed before or after FCP7?
FCP7 and the other FCS3 apps should be located in a folder in Applications if you're going to have them coexist with FCPX. If you had FCS installed prior to downloading FCPX, that relocation is done automatically. But you could also do it manually.
If you haven't sen it, here is Apple's best installation practices.

File error, access denied after software upgrade

We have three users who log on separately to the Mac. After doing a software update in standard mode, that user and administrator can no longer log and capture video, a file error, access denied warning comes up. What I have noticed is that the Final Cut Pro version number for the administrator and the user who done the update has changed to 6.04, where as the other two uses who are still able to capture video is 6.01.

Hmmm... the next step would be to trash the permissions of with FCPRescue. You can easily google for it.
But short of that... are there other system wide issues you've been having with admin vs user?
