Hard Disk Has Changed, Now Itunes Cant Find All My Music!

I have recently upgraded my network, where I had mapped a disk to all my songs, now Itunes cannot find them & I can only find a way to set each song individually. Is there any way to do this as a batch???

iTunes has no serial number.
If iTunes says it can't find the files, it means it can't read them from where they should be.
iTunes doesn't store the music actually within itself, it just keeps the location of the song, and then reads it from there. E.g. Song is in 'My Music', add it too iTunes. When iTunes plays the song, it's playing it from 'My Music', not from a full song file in the iTunes library.
So, do you have your music files stored on the actual hard-drive of your computer, or on an external hard drive? If external hard drive, are you getting this error both when it's connected, AND when it's disconnected, or only when it's disconnected?

Hmm, not sure I understand how that might have happened. It seems as if the media folder has been pointed to the wrong level, put in a pre-iTunes 9 layout and then updated. All the <Artist> folders should be moved from iTunes to iTunes\iTunes Media\Music. Assuming iTunes moved the files around the filenames should be as expected. WMP, for example. might use different character substitutions for illegal characters and can user longer file and folder names. If anything remains broken FindTracks can take up the slack.

Tried installing new IOS, now itunes cant find backup?

Backed up iPhone last night, went to install new IOS and it wiped my phone (phone has the cord/itunes thing it had when new) and when itunes opens it says my phones in "recovery Mode" and that I must restore my iphone before I can use it with itunes. Phone is a 5s. iTunes doesn't recognize the phone and I don't know how to restore it to that latest back up?? Please help. I'm not that great with these things so the easier the better in your explanation . Thank you in advance

Place the device in DFU mode (google it) then restore.

Im moving all my music and media to a diffrent drive and i want itunes to find all the music again for me instead of me finding each song one at a time, is there a way?

im trying to move all my music to another drive because my main one is full, and when i do and try to play a song in itunes i need to locate it on my computer and tell itunes where it is, for every single song. cant itunes do this for me ?

If you have iTunes match enabled, you should be to change playlists on your iPhone and also turn on automatic downloads on all devices

Manual sync is not available when match is turned on and in any event the sync is one way - PC to iOS devices.
Do you keep your actual files on your PC's hard drive?

Moved music to external Hard Drive. Now Itunes cant find Music

Moved my Itunes to an external hard drive and went through preferences in Itunes with the location. However, when I click on the music, Itunes cannot play and I have to manually link the library to the song to the new location. I have over 300 songs in Itunes as well as videos and photos.
Am I going to have to manually link each file? Or is there an easier way?
I am using Windows XP

If you moved the files then you have to re-link the files. Using iTunes to move the files would maintain the links.

Hard disk wiped, and now I cant re-load my ipod software

I got a new graphics card and my mum stuffed it when she tried to install it. We got it done professionally but they had to re-set my computer. we paid extra to have them transfer all my programs and documents to another computer and transfer them back. It didnt work, I lost everything except any folders on my desktop (weird huh). Anyway, I lost itunes, quicktime and my ipod software. I tried to re-load it(using the cd) onto my computer but it comes up with a window saying "error: 0x80040707" "access is denied". I used my cd and loaded it onto my sisters computer fine and Im wondering what went wrong. After that I tried downloading itunes from the apple site and even though it says its installed, when I open it it comes up with the message 'itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close' straight away, without even opening itunes.
Im not having a problem with any other software and I dont know what to do about it.
Aside from that I lost some very important photos when my computer was wiped. I still have them on my ipod and I cannot get them off. It says I have a thumbs folder and a photo database file. How do I get the photos off, especiallyy since I cant seem to get itunes back

okay, that version of the 0x80040707 is a known complication of a broken QuickTime. in this context, it usually means the installation configuration information of the QuickTime has been compromised.
here's what we'll try first.

If the information wasn't backed up (as it should have been) then there's no way to recover it. When a phone is in recovery mode like yours is, all data are gone.

You can't. It's already downloaded and filled the drive. The only option is to erase and reinstall.
You may be able to Target Disk Mode if you can connect the Mac to another with FireWire or Thunderbolt Cables (USB will not work and it cannot be connected to a windows PC)
Do you have a Time Machine Backup?
If not best option is getting it in somewhere where they can transfer the data you need off before Erase and Reinstalling OS.
Unless there is nothing on the Machine you need anymore that is, in which case you may be able to Erase in Recovery. It May not work though, if the Disk is too full.

ITunes not finding all my music files.

My itunes says it cannot find alot of my music files yet they are in the folder specified in my Itunes preferences iTunes Music Folder Location.
How can I get iTunes to confirm the location and correct this?
On a side note I find that my iTunes changes the location specified for the "iTunes Music Folder Location" from time to time. Why would this be happening?

Yes the folder is located on an external drive so it could be that it was not turned on at some point. That being said how do I get it corrected in iTunes? Is there an quick way to fix this? How do I get rid of the ! in iTunes?

Files (PDF documents) are not stored in Acrobat or Adobe Reader; they are simply files on your disk.
If you mean what program should open your PDFs by default, use Edit | Preferences | Select Default PDF Handler to specify the default program.

I've purchased a song off itunes now itunes cant find the origianl file. Usually I just search for it in my file but now I can't find the music at all. How do I stop this from happening permenatly. I'm tired of searching for my songs in my files. HELP ME !!

hMm me too!!! After iTunes updates my library, most of my songs have the error icon behind it. But, the songs are still in the same folder. And, my songs aren't bought from iTunes store.
