I've lost Lightroom 4, and PS 5, have my serial number but don't know where to go to download it again- anyone have a solution/suggestion?

What version of PS? If it's CC, just reinstall the CC application manager then PS and sign in. For an earlier version you will need to call Abobe to have you S/N reset.

Hard drive crash need help with new iTunes load and backup files

I have looked through the posts and not found my situation.
I had my iPhone synced to a PC computer and the hard drive crashed. I had an extensive library in iTunes, but none of the music was purchased online so I can't simply download it again. It was all from CD's, many of which belonged to friends. I now have an iMac. The music I like is still on my iPhone, but not on my new iMac. When I try to sync the iPhone with my iMac it wants to delete all the music on my iPhone. Is there any way to copy the music off my iPhone first - so I can add it back into my iTunes library?

Old Hard drive crashed, need to transfer music from iPod to new computer

Hello. My old hard drive crashed and I bought a new computer. Unfortunately I did not back up any files from my old computer and lost all files including iTunes music. All I have is the music from my iPod. I would like some help or if anyone knows anything about how to transfer the music from my iPod to my new computer. I guess my new computer is not the original authentic one in the itunes system and will not let me exchange music from my iPod to new computer. I would appreciate help if anyone has ideas. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. iTunes Store Terms of Service allows for only one download.
You could send an email to -> iTunes Store - Customer Service and grovel at their feet and beg for a redownload.
However, if granted (or not), I would highly recommend you immediately learn how & start to back up your computer.

Hard Drive Crash - need help with choosing new drive and installation

My hard drive seems to have crashed. My computer froze, and when I tried to reboot, it got stuck at the startup screen. I started from the system CD, ran the disk repair utility, and it said it could not repair the disk. I ran Tech Tool Pro and it could not repair the disk. I tried to start up in Target disk mode while connected to my older G4 iMac (that I'm using now as my backup), and the disk would not mount. So I need some expert advice - I am assuming the hard drive is toast. I wish I could at least mount it in target disk mode to transfer files, but I haven't been able to do that. I was going to take it in for repair (or possibly buy a new computer), but after reading some of the posts here, I am thinking I could just replace the internal hard drive with a 3.5" SATA drive.
What I need to know is am I correct about this? And is this the right kind of drive for my iMac? Are there any specifications I need to be aware of when ordering a new drive? I downloaded the manual explaining how to replace the drive and it looks doable. I would appreciate any guidance as to choosing the new drive (specific brand names/models would be great), installing the drive, and tips for formatting, etc. Thanks in advance for your help!

Just be aware that what you'll be recovering will be photos optimised for the iPod so they won't be the same quality as the original full resolution versions:

Hard drive crashed need to restore iphotos from Time Machine

I need some serious help. I have a 24inch intel imac and my hard drive failed. I thought I had everything backed up on my external hard drive via Time Machine (my last backup was April 11th) so I replaced the hard drive.
Once I reinstalled Leopard 10.5 it asked me if I wanted to restore my data from Time Machine which I did. It seemed like it worked great but when I opened up iphoto all 43,000 pictures (cherished family pictures of our children) were gone!
iphoto still has the Event Titles, how many photos, and the sizes but they are empty with nothing but a big exclamation point. I see the iphoto library under Time machine as well but the restore is grayed out I can't even go back in time because the arrow is grayed out.
I named the new hard drive "new SG 1.0TB" and the old one was just named Macintosh HD. I read briefly somewhere that the old and new hard drives need to have the same name. Is this correct? Also does it make a difference that I had Leopard 10.5.6 when my photos were available and now I'm only on 10.5? Please help!
I had some help from another forum and he told me to look under the Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library and right click on it and select 'Show Package Contents. All the folders are there (teasing me) but there are no pictures in the folders so nothing. But I was searching again on my external time machine backup and found iphotos under time machine backups/backups.backupdp/Ryan Gunter's Computer (2)/2009-01031-002706/Macintosh HD/Users/ryang808/pictures. It had all my iphotos from 1999 until the january 2009 but everything from this date to present is not there (the folders are there but nothing in them) could they still be hiding somewhere?? And how do I get the ones I do have back in iPhoto?

sorry but, no. if they are not there there is no other place they could be. for some mysterious reason TM didn't back them up. still you should restore what you can. quit iphoto, control-click on TM in the dock and select "browse other TM disks". this will let you browse your old backups via TM interface. locate the folder Macintosh HD/Users/ryang808/pictures on january 31 backup and restore its contents to your Pictures folder. start iphoto and it should have alll those pictures.

Hard Drive Crashed/Need advice

Today, after installing OS X 10.4.6, the hard drive on my G5 desktop crashed and was not retrievable using Disk Utility. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Apple, and they recommended erasing and reinstalling -which I did.
Now I want to restore my User files. These back up everyday with Retrospect.
I would like advice on the best way to transfer these files back to my G5. Should I use a restore from the Retrospect server? Or should I transfer the files to another Mac's HD and put the G5 into target disk mode and move the files to it that way? Or is there a better way than these two?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am sitting high and dry now, unwilling to do much with the G5 until I can work from within my own User ID.

I reformatted the crashed HD and created my user ID. Then I copied the contents of my user folder to my desktop from my retrospect backup. Then I dragged those files into the newly created user file, replacing the Apple defaults.

Computer hard drive crashed; need to use shuffle on new laptop

Last week our four year old computer crashed. The hard drive was damaged and basically we lost all contents. I had fortunately backed up all my itunes purchases onto disk so I was able to restore all my purchases from my backup disk to our new laptop and authorize the laptop for purchases. However, now when we attempt to hook up our ipods we cannot sync to the ipods without totally wiping out and rebuilding the contents of the ipods. I have tons of my CD music as well as purchases on this shuffle. How can I just get the laptop to now associate this shuffle to the new computer without destroying all the content? I'll be posting this regarding our nano on that board for our nano ipod.

I had the same problem but didn't have all my music backed up. However iTunes copied my music to the computer again (copied it then wiped it off my iPod shuffle second gen.) This was on iTunes 6.1 so I don't know if it still works:-)

IMac Hard Drive Crashed - Need to get music from iPod to new hard drive

The 250GB hard drive on my iMac crashed - totally fried. It's been replaced and the operating system and software reinstalled. The problem - I have 22GB of music on my iPod (5G, 60GB) that I'd like to get back onto the computer. All music is legal - ripped from my library of 500+ CD's. The iPod is already set to manual updates and for use as a disc drive.
Someone please tell me there's a way to do this without having to rip all 500 CD's again...
