hi i am not able to load any google sites ie gmail, orkut, youtube(login),,etc
when i tryied to open sites like www.gmail.com i got error msg as:

The connection to www.google.com was interrupted while the page was loading.
    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

i am currently using firefox 3.6.10 so what to do to fix this pblm?

Make sure that your security software (firewall) isn't blocking or interrupting that connection.
Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.<br />
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.<br />

  • I recently built a new computer, and I cannot load any google affiliated sites on it.

Ok this is really weird, I build a new computer and everything else on it works, BUT I cannot load most google site and a bunch of other random sites.
I can load this website, twitter, my hotmail, pretty much everything else.
I can load google searches, but not any of the sites that is redirects to.
    no youtube.
I have already turned off proxies, cleared cache, cookies, cleared all history, rebooted multiple times, tried it in IE, tried it in Safe Mode.
It is not my internet, because I can load the sites on my phone and old computer fine.
It gives me the error message "connection to server was reset while the page was loading"
    What is going on?!

    Hi!
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Firefox won't load any web site under my login, if I use another account it works fine, this problem start with 7.01 update. I have 8.0 now, other browser works fine with no problem.

unable to load any web site, no error message, just a blank page.
safari and chrome work fine, in fact I am using chrome to type this up. This problem only limited to my account, I have created other account and firefox work as it should with no problem. I am unsure with else to clear to get firefox working again.

Update: This is NOT just related to "Yahoo" pages, while this problem first began with some of my Yahoo pages, it is now also happening with other NON Yahoo things I want to load up. Like Twitter, or Links in emails that load Blank, or even images within emails that show up Blank in the preview part of Yahoo mail. It is NOT a Yahoo issue as I have loaded up my Yahoo Mail in IE and Chrome, and everything loads wonderfully. I can even load up sites like Twitter, and other websites that will NOT load in Firefox, but they come up fine in other Browsers.
I have done the ONLY suggestion that came from Firefox Tech support, to load up FF in Safe Mode, but the problems still exists. I have uninstalled FF and re-loaded it, but the same problem is there.
Does anyone have any ideas here at all? I can't seem to get any Fire Fox help, so I am reaching out to the community here to see if anyone can help.... Thank you !!

  • About 50% of the time Firefox is extremely slow loading any google scripts/search, all other scripts/search load quickly. Been happening for about a month now.

A month or so ago FF starting taking forever to load any page using Google scripts, also Google search. Not always, about half the time, the other half the time FF works fine. Can go on and off like this three or four times a day. No discernible pattern. Pages without Google scripts and other search engines (Bing, Yahoo) always load fine with FF, only Google doesn't. Even while FF is slooowwwly loading Google scripts/searches, Chrome and IE load the same scripts and searches quickly with no problems. WTF?

I had this problem, I checked my add-ons one by one as suggested and it was the Avast online security add-on slowing me down on Google. Disabled it and FF works ok.
No idea why the avast add-on would do that? Still using the full version of avast but not the add-on.

  • Safari cannot load any Google Sign in pages

I'm on a late 2011 Macbook Pro 13" running 10.10.2 with Safari 8.0.3. My internet connection is fine, and I have no problems in any browser but Safari.
Safari will load any webpage fine, until I try to access a Google page that requires logging in. This includes accounts.google.com, mail.google.com, calendar.google.com, etc. Google search loads fine.
I've tried clearing cookies/cache, completely resetting Safari, resetting my keychain, and double-checked my DNS settings. Nothing has made the progress bar move. I've of course restarted countless times as well.
The problem arose when I tried to install the desktop version of Google Drive. Once installed, it displays a blank window as the sign-in page, and won't let me do anything but close it. I found a ton of similar issues on Windows and IE causing Drive's problems there, so I'm thinking this is a Safari issue at heart (or maybe Keychain, since it all routes through there apparently too).
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Unable to access any Google site

I'm having a weird problem since morning. I try to access Google homepage or any Google service website, I'm redirected to itimes.com. I have been unable to access my email due to this. If i enter just the websites name in the address bar, i get an error message saying "URL not found". If i try to access Google in Chrome or IE, its working fine. I had faced a similar problem earlier when i tried to access a specific website i was taken to some other website. but the problem was fixed on its own after an hour or two. But not able to access Google on Firefox for a whole day is crippling and irritating. I'm using Firefox 3.6.7 with Weave, Firebug, ColorZilla and MeausureIt addons. Until this problem is fixed i will have to use my second favorite browser, Chrome. Thanks for any solutions.

  • Safari wont load any HTTPS sites

    Hey,
For some reason Safari has stopped letting me open any https sites. I am using a new internet connection at my new apartment, but I think everything else has stayed the same. HTTPS sites open fine in Firefox and Explorer. I tried emptying my cache and resetting Safari to no avail. Also just upgraded to 2.0.1. Anything else I can try?
    TIA,
    Chris

What seems forever since 10.5, after a couple of click throughs Safari stops following links. Eventually I get a 'page not found' message. I went to the macosxhints.com page as described, deleted the Safari preferences file but still have the same results. I have done all of the other usual things, reinstall, etc, but to no avail. Any additional suggestions?

  • Is there any CLI command to listen youtube videos?

I often listen to cabarets, stand-up comedies, music  from youtube. The video is usually a still picture. Is there any resource saving CLI utility (similar to mpg123, which I use to listening mp3 streaming radio stations) which can play youtube videos but only the sound?

I think they get money from the adds and they may gather a lot of data e.g. that most people skip the first two minutes of a show, listen only 3/4 of it etc.
I never uploaded anything to YT, but if such info is available to uploaders, it can help them too.
YT's ToS don't say "if your preferred way of web browsing makes it hard / impossible to use YT, you can just download stuff", so I guess they want you to use a "YT-compatible" browser. In other words: it's your problem, not theirs.
It's possible to download a video from YT via a CLI utility, browser plugin or in some other way and then use 'mplayer -novideo' or something similar to listen to the material. This gives you extra control, you can e.g. speed it up or view some parts of it frame-by-frame.

  • Firefox is taking a very long time to load any web site. It used to be extremely fasta and stable. Is there a current problem? I have the most recent updates installed.

As of the last week, I have not experienced the usual rapid download to signing in to Yahoo, and once there, other sites are experiencing the same lag time. I have to wait till Firefox catches up with the download speed on the web. I am NOT experiencing this with Internet Explorer. I much prefer to use Mozilla, but don't understand why this is happening. Are there any issues that are being worked on from your end? There are NO changes to my computer (Windows 7), except recent updates from Mozilla.

    Hello Billyeee,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Wi-Fi on your MacBook Pro.  I would be concerned about this too.
I recommend following the steps in the section titled "Symptom: The Wi-Fi network seems slow" in the following article to resolve an issue like the one you described:

  • Firefox will not open any google sites or websites I created using google sites.

    It says:
''Problem loading page: Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.''
I can open the sites using Safari but not Firefox.I have not always had this trouble. Google says that it is a problem with firefox. I have tried/and do accept cookies, cleaned history, etc. I can open the sites if I use Safari. Any suggestions?!

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

  • Cannot load any attachment on gmail

There are no problems when I use hotmail or yahoo, but when I try to load them on gmail it takes a lot of time and then an error appears. I've tried switching attachments settings from advanced to basic but it still doesn't work. Chat also loads slowly.
Though I'm able to type mails, a little bar saying "Still working" appears on the window and sometimes I can't send them at the first attempt.
I think it has something to do with Flash, but I don't know what it is.
Gmail works perfectly fine on other PC's connected to the same network.
Pleasse someone help!! I've been dealing with this issue since last year and I've checked many discussions on gmail forums where so much people have similar problems but no one on gmail seems to answer them... and when they do, it doesn't work with mine (though sometimes it is because I don't know where SSL (I think I enabled SSL and nothing happened, so I disabled it again) or SMTP can be enabled)

Log out of the iTunes Store on your device:
Settings>iTunes & App Store...tap your Apple ID, then select "Sign Out"
    Reset your device:
    Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
    1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
    2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
    3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
After the device has restarted, sign back in to the App Store as above.
