Hard to follow threads on this forum

Am I the only one to have this issue on following threads on this forum?
I might be on page 4 of the forum topics, I read through a thread and then try to return to page 4 listings -- but end back on the first page of the topics -- not page 4.
Also in the breadcrumbs on the bottom of the pages, I only see pages "1 2 <Previous and Next>". No easy way to jump to deeper threads such as pages 3-4-5-6 etc.
Can the forum's administrator look into this -- or is there some option I can set that can fix this???

But if you go back to the top of the thread and click on "Up to Discussions in Premiere Pro" rather than the one that just says > Discussions, it takes you back to the last page you were on, not page 1. The top of the page, sure, but it's better than going all the way back to page one and having to click six times to get to page six.
Of course it wouldn't occur to them to put this link after the last post in the thread, where it is most likely to be used...

Cannot stop getting email threads from this forum.

Had a problem with Safari crashing. Posted the problem and even though people tried to help the problem never got fixed.
Since then i get a notification copy of every email of every problem sent to the person I posted the question to.
Changed settings to no avail. I get 20-40 emails from this forum every day and cannot stop it!
What to do? Thanks.

Next time you see one of those emails, click vew full discussion. Once there sign in, then in the upper right hand conner click "stop email notification"

Do discussions (threads) in this forum ever get elevated to bug reports seen by the Adobe dev's?

This forum is a fertile source of user feedback for Adobe. Is there a system in place to create tickets or bug reports or something like that out of issue brought up here? Seems like a good idea.

Adobe may read some items here. That's up to the development teams. If the dev team sees something and is interested then it may perhaps get logged, But you should never assume anything on the forums is actually logged anywhere but here.
If you've found a bug, you should log it using the feadback link at the bottom of this (or any) page.

Why is "insert image" greyed out in "post new thread" in this forum?

I really need to attach a screenshot to show someone what
Acrobat Pro is doing but "insert image" is greyed out.
Any ideas?

i posted here before i got my macbook, with worries that it would have some problems like everyone else here, but i've had my MB for 3 days, and its been working fine, nothing wrong yet

The truth is we all love our Macbooks. I am just frustrated with the unpredictable, undiagnosed problem of the random shutdowns (2 or 3 times a day) but when it is on it is the best thing that I have ever had as a computer. For example, I run Parallels and installed xp, two versions of Linux for fun. I even managed to get my old win 98 laptop saved as a 3 GB disk image that I imported to Paralles. It boots and runs just the same. It brings me back memories of old days when I run the old pc on my new mac and see all those old programs and files.
I use Handbrake to rip all my favorite DVDs to Itunes. I miss it so much now that it is in the shop. Enjoy.....

OEM not connecting to DB Problem not seen on this forum

Hi,
I installed Oracle 10g db server release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) and let it create a default database for the test purpose.
I received no errors during installation.
I tested the connection via SQL*Plus, and iSQL*Plus and it works fine.
But when I tried to run Enterprise Manager it can not connect to database instance.
database is open
listener is up
Agent connection to instance succeeded
I followed link Recovery Settings and tried to log in with
1. system/password ... as SYSDBA ----> ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
2. system/password ....as NORMAL ------>
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified
Does anyone have idea why is this happening??
How to make it work??

Actually, I don't have that ORA_NLSxx value in my registry.
What should be the value?
Under the 10g home tree in Registry, I can find just one more place where I can see some NLS settings, and that is
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\OLAP\ExpressServer\OLAPServer\Locale
NLS_LANG = American_America.UTF8
I am not sure that I know what does that mean..
Can it be the cause of the problem??

Originally this forum was intended for ccBPM and Workflow. However I have noticed that 99% of posts are for workflow, and the occasional BPM post isn't answered. The confusion is because BPM is still in the title but I suspect hardly any BPM folks frequent this forum anymore. Or do they?
So I have submitted a proposal in the suggestions forum and invite you to add your comments. If enough people agree then we can get the name changed to SAP Business Workflow. On the other hand if people prefer to see XI/PI/BPM questions in here then we can keep it as is. Or perhaps it should be Workflow and Guided Procedures or any other suggestions?
The proposal is [over here|Rename "BPM and Workflow" forum to "SAP Business Workflow";, please add any comments there.

Do you have an add-on called Adblocker Plus in your Add-on Manager?
'Tools' > 'Add-ons' or '3bar menu icon' > 'Add-ons'
Disable this addon and test. It has been known to cause some issues.

What are the top 20 most viewed threads on the forums?

Is there a way to search to find the most viewed threads?
I'm curious if I have missed anything good as well as just being curious after all of this time, which threads got the most milage.

If we do a search on the forum with nothing as keyword, we can get all the threads in this forum listed. Sorting by Replies will display (and offfcourse display 50 threads per page - oops that's the maximum....) and we have to look what we want. This is pretty vague technique. These are the top 3 threads.

I have put a post on the relevant thread on the sql/plsql forum and pointed to a blog indicating the correct route of study and marked the post as abuse. Hopefully the moderator of that forum will sort. I have also refered to ocpfraud_ww.

How to attach files to the thread we post in this forum?
I’m wondering why there is no feature that allows attaching files from our hard drives! It is not practical to upload our file first in a certain web to provide it as a link in the post.
Is there a way to attach our files directly from our hard drive to the post?
Please, have a look on the screenshot below that shows a forum which includes all the very basic features!

Just a guess on my part, but I would suspect non-image files in this case.
As Ted points out, that WAS possible early on, and then the capbility to attach non-image files, was actually retained by a certain few forums, though not for long. This change was coincidental with a major spam attack, and at least one disgruntled user attempting to attach some rather nasty "stuff." I do ot know if those events prompted the change, as I was not part of the decision making group, that initiated the change.
Though 95% of the files that I wish to attach, ARE image files, there are times, where a TXT file would be ideal, say for a crash log, or similar. Now, I can convert that TXT to a PNG, but then one has to work with pixel x pixel dimensions, and some files, like those crash logs, can be rather long.
Personally, I find the loss of the Attach File (was via a button at the bottom-left of the editing screen) to be a sad comment on the actions of some, on these forums, but then that just reflects life outside of the forums.

PS - I am glad that you found that little article useful Especially in the PS, PrPro, PrE and Encore forums, screen-caps can tell so very much about what is going on with a person's program, system or their Projects/Images.

You could choose to look into 'Following' within the thread you wanted see updates in,
and be sure to look into your Profile choices on email updates on thread content, if you
want to see any activity and have it appear in your inbox. (I do not use this email item.)
Also there is a set of icons in the top right section of an open thread where options appear.
If you are the author of a topic, some of these icons (the gear) will allow other choices but
they may change after a time; one of these may be an edit option that fades out shortly.
In your choice of section to view, as seen from your access when logged in to this site,
you can see a menu to the left of the displayed post topics, and click on that to view
any that may appear. For some to be populated by any content, you will have had to
have done some action to cause it. For example, if you never wrote a question, that
area "authored" would be empty.
There is a section on how to use these Apple Support Communities (discussions) with
a link to information at the start of this part of the Apple web site...

There is something different about that thread. At the top it has a link saying "Branched to a new thread." with a link that is invalid in Jiveworld. So something is/was going on with that thing, and it is/was probably another bug.
