Hardcoding a 'tick mark' in the script.

I have inserted a sapsymbol('tick'  mark) in script by following these steps:
se71->
Window-> text editor->Insert->characters->sap symbols. It automatically takes up the value as 640, but this is getting displayed as' # ' in the layout instead of 'tick' mark.
Do we have to specially handle the sap symbols?
Could someone help me with this.
Thanks in Advance,
Shruti

Hi ,
  Thanks for the response.Jus wanted to re-confirm the things.
The 'tick mark' is already available in the list of SAPSymbols in text editor of se71 tcode. I think there is some particular way to use these SAPsymbols. As we can find the id for the tick mark as '00709' in the standard program for symbols .i.e.
'RSTXSYMB'. It gives a list of all the SAPSymbols. I tried using the same id, but still no change in display of that symbol. Could you kindly confirm if there is really no way to use these symbols. I tried almost all possibilities.
Thanks again for ur precious time n input.

  • Check Box With Tick Mark on Sap Script

    Hello All,
    We need to add a check box with tick mark on Sap Script.Please can anyone let me know how can we add it.
    Regards
    Amruta

    hi amruta,
    The soluti as an image into on to your problem can be to use the symbol icon as told , but this may show in preview not in print.
    I too faced the same problem.
    So what i had done is created a new window with the diemnsions of the chekc box with border thcikness 8 tw and inside that window place a checkmark symbol.
    if this checkmark symbol also does not show up in print preview/  doesshow in print preview and not in print then you can scan a chekcmark image and upload it into business document server as a BMP/ TIFF image and use this image in your checkbox window.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • Script for overriding category axis tick marks in graphs?

    Hello!
    We are introducing a new graph design, but has a problem with not being able to override the tick marks in the category axis in Illustrator CS5.
    A typical graph (line layout) can have 250 observations, and since we have the tick marks on full width, the graph gets "crowded" with black lines.
    In the value axis there is possibilites for overriding the values, but not on the category axis.
    Is there any way to script so that the tick marks in the category axis can be reduced/overrided to e.g. 1 in 20?
    Please help!

    Script has NO access to live graph data… It can only break them… then fish in the group for bits…

  • How to calculate the rotation degree of tick marks

    Hello Again,
    Thanks to so much help that I received here, I've been able to move right along in learning how to perform my job digitally instead of with an old camera.
    In my last discussion, I learned out to make the tick marks using copies and rotation.  My question now is, how is the rotation calculated so A) I get the correct placement of the tick marks, especially the small ones as there are so many and B) how do I calculate the rotation degree so that I have the proper amount of space at the bottom of the guage/dial?
    Here is an image to help show what I'm asking:
    I know how to get the large tick marks and the small tick marks, if I were placing them evenly around the entire circle, I would know how to do that also - but since I'm placing them around only a portion of the circle (although still evenly) I'm lost.  I can only figure out the space by hit and miss calculations and that is taking much too long.  I would also need to know how much to rotate the entire thing by in order to get the open space at the bottom as shown.
    thanks for your help!

    You need to use transform effects and you can get this in about 10 or so minutes.
    first you need to set up the objects.
    the thick lines I used effect>distort and transform>transform 20 copies angle 14
    thi ones 100 copies angle 2,8

  • How to set the number of minor tick marks?

    How does one set the number of minor tick marks? My major tick marks are located at 0, 5, 10, 15, etc. I'd like to have 4 minor tick marks in the range 0 to 5, 5 to 10, 10 to 15, etc. Is this even possible with Numbers 2.02?

    It's good that you are using a Scatter Chart for this. Just make your settings in the Inspector as shown in this example. You will be using the Chart Inspector, Axis Tab, Value Axis Settings, with the Chart selected.

  • How to create tick marks within an arched area

    I need to recreate this dial and I've learned how to create evenly spaced tick marks within a circle, but this is an ellipse.  Here, I attempted to draw two ellipse then used the scissors to cut them to size.  Then I used the line tool and drew each of the tick marks.  Then I adjusted the weights of each tick.  This is not a good method because the end ticks are not meeting the ends of the ellipse perfectly, leaving a tiny bit of tick mark outside the ellipse.  There must be a better way to do this. Here is what I ended up with:
    But this is what I need to create:
    (I only need to create the arched part with tick marks of this dial)
    Any help is appreciated, but please note that I am familiar with only the very basics of illustrator, I simply don't do this type of work often enough to completely understand the software.
    Thanks!!!!

    Jber,
    And this is an attempt to give a (hopefully sufficiently) more complete description of the ellipse way, as an amendment of post #4 (overdoing silly things like this makes it difficult to remember to mention all the crucial steps that seem to hide somewhere in the fingers):
    One way that results in constant thickness tick marks might be to (using Stroke>Round Cap/Join or Stroke>Projecting Cap/Miter Join or Stroke>Butt Cap and Miter Join depending on the desired end shape and length, see below, with the layer expanded in the Layers palette, and Smart Guides are your friends, telling you when you when you are in the right spots):
    If you wish to have the tick marks follow an ellipse and at the same time have constant widths (two different widths), you may (see below):
    0) Lock the image of the dial (shown as a grey area below), you may place it at X = 0 to facilitate symmetric building;
    1) Create the thickest tick mark and move a copy to the right, then create a one step blend (Object>Blend Options>Specified Steps = 1, then Object>Blend>Make);
    2) Create the thinnest tick mark and move a copy to the right, then create a five steps blend (Object>Blend Options>Specified Steps = 5, then Object>Blend>Make);
    3) Either of two ways (in both cases make sure to make it as symmetrical as possible):
    3a) Create the midway ellipse, adjusting the top of it to be midway between the two arcs (this is the first way I thought of and the way shown below), or
    3b) Create two ellipses corresponding to the two arcs, then create a one step blend and Object>Blend>Expand to get the midway ellipse and delete the other two;
    4) Drag horizontally with the Line Tool (hold Shift) to make a path between the two spots where the midway ellipse crosses the ends of the dial image (Smarts Guides say intersect), or just create a horizontal path and place it so it crosses the ellipse in the right spots (you can see the symmetry here);
    5) With the horizontal path still selected Object>Path>Divide Objects Below;
    6) Delete the lower superfluous part of the ellipse, then with the Direct Seletion Tool click the horizontal segment and delete it (only click delete once);
    7) Select the remaining midway ellipse part and Object>Path>Offset Path, using half the height of the dial image (at the middle), you may retry until you have it right, this will recreate the top and bottom of the dial and also make ends;
    8) Select the midway ellipse part and Object>Path>Add Anchor Points a few times (see below), and copy the midway ellipse, now you have two on top of each other, one for each of the blends;
    9) Select one of the midway ellipses along with the thin blend from 2) (hold Shift to have them both selected) and Object>Blend>Replace Spine, this will make that ellipse part disappear;
    10) Select the other midway ellipse and the thick blend from 1) (hold Shift to have them both selected) and Object>Blend>Replace Spine;
    11) Hide/Delete the image dial.
    Now you should have the whole dial with both sets of tick marks on top  of the elliptic arch set. In 9) and 10) you may select on the Artboard or through the Layers palette (you can see what you are selecting in both places), and the order (and stacking order) in 1)/2) and 9)/10) can be changed.
    If you wish to move/extend the thick tick marks upwards or both up and down, you may:
    12) Select the thick ticks blend and Object>Blend>Expand, and then Select each of the thick tick marks and tick the appropriate Reference Point in the Transform palette (if you want to extend upwards use the bottom ones (Right for left, Center for centre, Left for right), if you want to extend both up and down use the Center one), then multiply the H value by the desired amount and click Ctrl/Cmd+Enter to make them a bit longer up/outwardly.
    The Object>Path>Add Anchor Points in 8) is to get a even distribution of the thin tick mark blend (not necessary for the thick tick marks blend because it only has one step).

  • Using CSS to change line chart tick mark font

    I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, but I can't find any reference to help with this.
    I have create a dark-background theme for my CSS and have run into a bit of a blind spot with the CSS. My chart has a dark background, and I can find no way to change the color of the font on the tick marks. I have resorted for now to setting the individual axis objects setTickLabelFill for now, but it would be nice to be able to set this in CSS.
    With this, I can change the font size of the axis labels and tick marks, but the font name and color are ignored for the tick marks:
    .axis {
    -fx-font: 14px "Palatino Linotype";
    -fx-text-fill: white;
    Thank you for your help.

    That did work in 1.3, and I hoped it made it into 2.0, but that setting didn't help.
    Setting the -fx-text-fill in -axix-tick-mark .label doesn't work either, or any variation I tried.

  • How to add tick marks to all sides of graph

    Hi,
    I'm trying to format a graph in numbers and would like to know how to add tick marks to all axies on the graph, ie. top, bottom, left & right.
    I can get tick marks on the bottom and left axis, but can't seem to find a way to add them to the others.\
    Thanks,
    Oscar

    Hi Oscar,
    Numbers 2.3, but this will work in Numbers 3.0.1 with different Inspector choices.
    When in doubt, cheat! This will give a second Y axis. It is a 2-Axis Chart (the bottom one in this screen shot of Chart Types):
    Column C (Value 2) has dummy values copied from Column B (Value 1).
    Now hide the Column graph by selecting it and changing the fill to None. (Inspector > Graphic > Fill > None).
    Set gridlines, tick marks, hide Legend as you wish.
    To add a second X axis at the top, Chart Inspector won't do that. Insert Shapes and Text Boxes?
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • I want to get windows vista on the macbook pro with retina display but my first question is this that how do i install it without using a DVD OR CD disk drive, and my second question while installing windows vista do i have to tick mark the install win 7

    hello i have a few problems and i hope somebody has a solution my first problem is that how can i install windows vista without using a disk drive and my second problem is that should i tick mark the option which says Install windows 7 while using boot camp please reply, Thanks,

    When running Windows in a virtual environment Windows and OSx share your computer's resources such as RAM. Therefore your games can not use all your computer's resources when running.
    If you install Windows natively then Windows and your games can and do use all your computer's resource such as RAM.
    But as already said, older operating systems are not supported and will not run natively using Boot Camp Assistant. You must use Windows 7 if installing natively in Lion or Moubtain Lion.

  • Invisible hands for a clock holding the tick mark as a png

    I am making the hands of a clock with tick marks held in a particular spot with an invisible bounding box.  When I export as a png the bounding box disappears and all I have is the tick mark.  Any suggestions?  Any help would be appreciated! Maybe a boundindg box isn't the correct description?  I have made the hand  using the rectangle shape with no fill and no line. The tick mark is contained within this space.  But somehow when it is exported using png the invisible containment disappears.  I need that to hold my tick mark in place as the hand goes around the clock.
    Marci

    The image fits inside the rectangle at a precise point. But when I export it, all I get is the tick mark which looks like this without the rectangle
    This is what happened the first one when I exported it as a png.  The second I matched the artboard and tried to save it as a eps.  I still get the same result.  I was able to do this originally but it had a white fill.  It needed to be transparent.  But when I make it transparent the box disappears when it is exported.

    In CustomSlider4.zip there is a skin file called HSliderTrackSkinTicks.mxml that shows a very simple way of implementing tick marks.  DataGroup should work too, but it will be a little trickier to line up the ticks properly.
