Hardware could not be found
I've had iDVD 2.1 since I first got this computer (2002) but rarely used it. This morning I went to open it and it said "The application iDVD could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found." How could this be when we are talking about a software program? Eric
I think it is looking for an Apple installed Superdrive (DVD burner). So have you recently upgraded/replaced your DVD burner? If not, is your current Superdrive being seen by the system (can you burn to it from disk utility, iTunes, etc.)?

I am trying to open iDVD on a PowerMacG4 running Tiger with an external Lacie d2 drive. Upon opening iDVD it is stating that it could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found. Does anybody know why this is happening?

You shouln't even need an external drive to run iDVD (just to burn) so I don't think a driver could be your issue. -
RME Hardware Inventory Report gets Error: Report Could Not be Found

When running Inventory Hardware report I select all devices and it shows the correct number of devices selected
However, the report is missing all routers, and I get the error message Report could not be found.Can someone tell me how to open this as a SUPPORT CASE that someone will actually help solve?

After Effects CS6 (from Production Premium) running on 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.

Currently attempting to export a short (2 second) video based on the predefined "H.264" preset with the only alterations being that I want the VBR 1 Pass to target 3.5Mbs (though I've changed this with no difference in outcome) and I want the video to multiplex as MP4. I immediatley get the error prompt: "Some of the required components could not be found."
*Just tried using the 3GPP multiplexer and received the same error message. If I try to use the MPEG4 format I get an "unknown exception" error.*
I've exported literally hundreds of items as H.264 with a MP4 multiplexer on this machine with current hardware and software. And now...no dice. After Effects boots correctly (or at least it seems that way) though I think it takes a little longer than it used to (not sure if the system cache just needs to be rebuilt).
After Effects CS6 has all available Adobe updates. Quicktime 7.7.4 is also up-to-date. Video Card driver is up-to-date.
What could be going on? I'd prefer to skip re-installing this program. I've had to do this numerous times already with this suite throughout the past 12 months; really getting sick of the down-time during reinstall. Worth noting that I have closed the program, closed all programs, restarted computer multiple times.
I am currently going through my Adobe program files for After Effects. I am specifically looking through the 'Support Files' directory. A couple interesting things: 1. My 'MediaIO->Codecs' directory was last updated on 11/8/2013 (perhaps an AE update??) but each of the files within said directory have a last modified date of late September. Did something get wrongfully deleted in the hypothetical update? 2. In 'Media Core plugins->Common' I again have a last modified date of 11/8/2013, but again each of my files within the common directory were last modified late September. I have many expected .prm files but NO ImporterMPEG4.prm; should I have a MPEG4 specific importer file, or does the MPEG importer file do all of the work. Also, I have no ExporterMP4 (or anything of the MPEG, MPEG2, MPEG4 flavor). Should I have one of these?

I talked to an Apple tech support person. Actually, my call had to be elevated to the next support level. Joy. You are correct, there are multiple listings of the files in the error report even though there is only one copy.
The support person had me do a few things. Here is what eventually seems to fix things:
1) For the mp3's that DID copy but were listed as not found... Some files were duplicated so deleting the duplicate with the "!" was an easy fix. I found one file that I could search by song name in iTunes but could not find it by song name search on the iPod. Looking at the iPod playlist I found the file listed by the filename (not song name) and the file played fine. Then in iTunes I double clicked on the song name ("!" showing) and selected locate. I then pointed to the location on the NAS. Resync and now the name of the song on the iPod changed from filename to song name. The file was no longer listed in the error report.
2) For the m4a files that didn't sync... the problem songs appeared three times in a search in iTunes. Two of the listings showed the "!" next to the name. I deleted these two for each song that didn't sync and all transferred fine afterward.
Perhaps there is an issue with ID3 tags since I use filenames more than tags in organization. Still, I would think that iTunes would not get so confused or be a little more friendly with its errors, especially considering how long its been around.

My iPad2 "could not be found on the network" and won't sync
Please Help!
My iPad 2 won't sync and doesn't seem to be "seen" by my PC.
I have rebooted, restored and reset the iPad, and installed latest ios.
PC is running Windows 8 with latest iTunes whic has been re-installed.
The USB port and cable work fine - I don't have the the same problem with my iPhone 4S.
The iPad logo comes up in iTunes as a device, and I get the "pinging" noise when connecting. The iPad details come up in iTunes, but I can't back up or connect or do anything witht it.
It won't sync and I get error messages:"iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services"
and in one of my explorations
"iPad could not be found on the network"
Sometimes when the Ipad is connected iTunes will be ok for a short time, then go into "not responding"
When I try Windows Explorer the iPad does not show in the "Removable Storage" section like it used to, and like my iPhone still does.
In Device Manager, Apple iPad Properties, I get the message "This device cannot start (Code 10)". On line searchinh suggests this could be a driver problem however when checking for drivers I got the message saying my drivers were up to date.

When you are connecting your iPad with your PC, go to Control Panel, click 'view devices and printers' under Hardware and Sound. Your iPad device should be shown in there even it is not showing in My Computer. See whether there's troubleshoot for Apple iPad. Then troubleshoot it. It should be the device driver which is not functioning or being disabled or not up to date. You should be able to find your iPad under the Portable Devices in My Computer after the troubleshooting. -

That's an error reported from DVD Player I believe...

There's some conjecture it has to do with HDCP, or Video Card problems, but the only 2 cures/fixes I found were Software related, one was cured by updating the OS, another by replacing the Video kexts.
I think this error also shows up if trying to use DVD player in Safe Mode, (too much research isn't good! ).

dboraslib.dll is properly installed - I checked the registry and physical location of the file.
The problem was : Environment variable "Path" not being set properly for the "oracle jre".
Solution:
After setting the path, the dispatcher started to run properly without any problems.
Path=<Drive>\oracle\ora92\bin;<Drive>\Program files\Oracle\jre\1.3.1\bin; <Drive>\Program files\Oracle\jre\1.1.8\bin
FYI - We are using WIN2K with SP4 and oracle DB 9.2

The installer disc could not be found? MacBook Pro - BootCamp
I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro running OS X Lion 10.7.4. I receive the "installer disc could not be found" error in my Boot Camp Assistant (ver. 4.0.3) after I have selected the "Download the latest Windows support software from Apple" and "Install Windows 7" tasks, and selected the "Burn a copy to CD or DVD" option in the process of installing Windows on my Mac. Everything goes smoothly, including the burning onto a disc apparently, until I get to the part where I am told to select the amount of space to partition and press the "Install" button below with the disc in. I do this, but after a minute of nothing happening once I've pressed "Install", I receive the "installer disc could not be found" error. I have no idea what to do, still being somewhat new to my MacBook Pro, as well as having followed all the of the instructions. Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Also, I've already tried burning at the slowest speed (2x) and have tried both CDs and DVDs.It's not so much the Windows OS as it is what Mac OS your using to in stall Windows on.
As of Lion and Mountain Lion (10.7 and 10.8) you can only use Windows 7 (until Windows 8 comes out and Apple updates the Boot Camp drivers for it) because Boot Camp only has drivers for W7 and is not backward compatible to XP.
W7 and XP is kinda like OS-9 and OS-10, two major differences.
Boot Camp is just a series of Windows drivers Apple makes for compatibilities reasons for the hardware Apple uses.
Basically if your computer came with 10.7 installed _brand new_ your stuck with W7 and BCamp v4.0. If you have any other previous Apple OS then you can use the v3.0 version of Boot Camp and W-XP.
Depending on when the computer was made it may be able to use XP, say, if you bought a computer a week after Lion came out but they hadn't upgraded the computer hardware yet you can usually use the previous MacOS and Windows version if compatible. So you will still have the "old" hardware. Any new Mac OS that comes out will be installed on any computers sold after that time.
Also, some people have had some success installing XP on newer machines if you do a Yahoo/Google search on the internet, depending on what machine you have you. It may take quite a bit of work tho. if you really need XP still, Windows 7 Pro does have an XP emulator as part of it (similar to Rosetta for OS9?)

Time Machine error "The backup disk could not be found"
I use Time Capsule with Time Machine, Lion OS and manage to setup successfully. However after I on it for few hours, there is backup error. Time Machine error message "The backup disk could not be found." But the internet wifi is working normally.
To solve this issue I have to power off and on it again, then the disk can be detected. But after few hours same thing happen again.
Is it a hardware faulty or sometime that cause the Time Capusle harddisk to sleep after sometime?I have this exact same problem. When I restart the Time Capsule I can then start backups normally, but it requires manual intervention. That's dissapointing because Time Machine and Time Capsule are supposed to be an automatic, worry free backup. I have to restart the Time Capsule frequently. Annoyed.

The ipod could not be sync because the ipod could not be found on the network
I plugged my ipod touch (4 gen) into my computer to sync and charge and itunes will not sync it any more. I the the error: the ipod could not be sync because the ipod could not be found on the network. It says it backed up on 11/4/13 which was just 5 days ago, but it won't let me back up or restore now at this point. It will charge the battery but that is all. Anyone know how to correct this problem?
Are yo set up to sync via USB vice wifi?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reboot the computer
- Try another USB port and cable
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Hi - got a replacement for my iMac today and brilliantly everything was back on the new machine in 15 minutes. Downloaded software upgrades available and repaired permissions. Thought I should then do a backup with Time Machine. I now get "Time Machine Error - The backup volume could not be found. Why can't it be found and what can I do?
Please help!! - I have had so many problems with my other 'new' iMac - surely the replacement can't be playing up as well.

AnnHi - sorry if I sound stressed but I am:-( The History: I had backed up everything from my other faulty iMac - (that has now been replaced because of so many hardware problems) - with Time Machine. Everything worked really well, as soon as I switched on the new machine it asked if I wanted to install from Time Machine - I clicked that button and I was away - brilliant - all my files, preferences everything onto the new iMac, I was so pleased. When I tried to open itunes however it told me that it had been created with a newer version, so, I went to software update and downloaded all the recommended files apart from 10.5.7 There was an EFI firmware update which took a while. I then repaired file permissions and thought I should back it all up.
Tried Time Machine and got the message "The backup volume could not be found" . Thought this might be because I hadn't downloaded 10.5.7 as that was what I had installed when I had completed my last backup on the faulty machine. So downloaded 5.7 from the Apple site and again tried to do a backup. Got the same message. I then went to Disk Utilities and clicked on the external drive and repaired disk. It told me the volume was OK. Tried to back up again and same message - can't find the the backup volume.
I have a 500GB Western Digital external drive and only 49.5 GB has been used by Time Machine so plenty of space on it. Everything else on the new iMac is fine and seems to be working.
I just can't believe I have encountered yet another problem on a machine that has only been out of the box for a few hours.
Would it be best if I just erased everything on the external drive and set up Time Machine from scratch again? Would that work?

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

is this the original recovery CD or a genuine Windows XP installation disk??
Following reasons for that problem:
- Disc is damaged or scratched or warped or simply not working
- CD/DVD drive has some problem
- Some piece of hardware does not work properly
- Memory could be faulty
Try to exclude these points and you will get the answer on that file.
Usually, such problem appears (I mean with a non-working file) when the CD is scratched or the drive does not work like it should..

Hi! I am new here and really need your help. We have a few Lenovo T400 notebooks. If I want to install Windows XP Prof with SP3 I always get this error dialog during GUI mode setup 9 Min. before finishing.

Sorry, we use Windows XP SP3 with this hotfix included. All of our other hardware which needs this hotfix too works fine with SP3. -
