Hardware devices which can be connected to Labview

Hi,
Which hardware devices can be connected to Labview?
I need to establish a testing lab and I want all the hardware devices could be connected to Labview,
so I need the names of the manufactors and specific models or a link to list of models.
thanks.

The quick answer, is that any device designed to accept commands over RS232 or GPIB can be quite easily integrated in to a Labview program.
Devices that communicate with the aid of a DLL file will require a bit more work (instrument drivers from the supplier for instance).
In response to your list, I use Keithley source-meters for a wide variety of my systems.  They're very well documented.  I haven't personally integrated a power supply or scope so I can't offer any supplier recommendations there.
Scopes usually are able to communicate with the aid of drivers (if drivers aren't provided and you need to access a DLL, this can get tricky for a beginner).  As far as power supply, this greatly depends on your power needs.

  • How do I access Firefox when Norton 360 firewall seems to be blocking access but all links on Norton 360 default to Mozilla page which can't connect?

I'm writing this via a Windows Explorer browser window which should tell you the problem, or at least that I can't connect through Mozilla Firefox.
Mozilla has been my default for years and I've always had Norton, 360 for the last few years. I've been through the traditional update problems with Toolbar/ID Safe and both of those are working fine.
Both were updated to absolute latest version within the last week due to an Update/Restart problem I was having with Windows 8.
There were some periodic problems with initializing the Norton problems which generally led to a Firefox not responding situation.
But I was able to run both quick and complete scans yesterdays and the Norton Autofix tells me no problems with their program/app.
I just downloaded newest Mozilla 25.0.1 last night again as last resort because I can't access Firefox beyond the homepage.
Spotify also told me there appeared to be a firewall blocking access. I also can't access iTunes.
I went to Windows 8 Action Center and it listed Norton 360 as controlling the firewall.
But I went to the allow apps through Windows Firewall tab in System anyway and didn't see any listing for Mozilla or Firefox there (maybe you have a less obvious filename).
My own network connection is working fine, obviously I'm on Explorer and no problems with my other computer.
I'm going to contact Norton to deal with this problem, too.
But my real problem now is that any attempt to contact the Symantec/Norton help/support site is automatically sent through a Firefox page which can't connect.
Right now I can't figure out how to do a tech chat or something to work at it from their end.
So that's why I'm here asking if you've run into this or know any way around it.
Obviously, the quicker a response the better.
    Thanks for your time.
    Ciao 4 now,

    Hello J Scher,
I don't know if this answer solves it, but I did contact Norton Support through IE and the tech had me download Firefox again...just like I did the night before on my own. But for the moment, for whatever reason, all those issues have gone away, knock on wood three million times. I can access Norton support pages, I can get on Spotify and I can reach the iTunes store.
I will freely admit to not being a great computer person but I have no idea why my machine did this to me all weekend and why it cleared up now, unless the Norton tech did some behind-the-scenes tweakery. But for now, I'm okay and things are working, knock on wood four million more times (figure I better up the ante).
    Thanks for your help.

  • Number of USB devices that can be connected

    Hi,
On my MacBook Pro (just before the unibody and all USB ports on the same side), I have connected:
1- on the left USB port a 1 TB external HD
2- on the right USB a USB hub with 4 ports:
2-1- a 320 GB HD used for TimeMachine
    2-2- a DVD drive
    2-3- a printer
    2-4- a mighty mouse
Sometimes the Mac doesn't detect the RIGHT side group, I have to disconnect and reconnect the hub up to three times to get my devices recognized by OS X: is this normal? is there a maximum of devices a MacBook Pro can handle?
    Thanks
Replaced left by right of course, thanks Limnos

    HI,
    Try Resetting the PRAM
If that doesn't help, try Resetting the SMC
If that doesn't help either, run the Apple Hardware Test just in case.

  • What is the maximum number of devices that can be connected with FaceTime?

I have tried to find in theh Apple web pages the maximum number of devices that one can connect to with FaceTime. Specifically, how many iPad2 or iPad (new) devices can connect to each other with FaceTime? What about an older iMac running Mountain Lion with iPads? Or, iPhone4s and iPads? Thanks for any information you can provide.

I don't know of any limit, as long as each device has its own individual identification ( e-mail address, or phone number for iphones)

  • Iphone can detect the paired devices but can not connect

My iphone 5 can detect the  paired devices but once I enter the pin code It will not connect.

I was wondering what the Renew Lease button did, that is why I never tried it before.  I just tried it now and no luck.  It still is not connecting.  I have had this phone for almost a year now and this has never happened before.
    I appreciate the effort anyways.

  • Limit on devices that can be connected?

We just got FIOS installed a few weeks ago. 3 STBs are connected, 1 Blackberry (as wireless device), 1 laptop (wireless), 1 desktop (wireless, but shows as ethernet in MyNetwork status), 1 DSi (wireless, but shows as ethernet).
Now I am trying to connect an additional laptop with wireless card and it won't show in MyNetwork. If I do ipconfig on the laptop I see the IP address that I assigned (192.168.1.50), but I cannot ping the router or any other device on the network.
Is there a maximum number of connections allowed on the router?  Why don't I see the added laptop? And why do 2 wireless devices show as ethernet vs. wireless?
    Thank you for your help.

You shouldn't be assigning ip addresses to your devices as they are being assigned by dhcp from the router.  If you are going to assign your own fxed ip addresses you should make sure to exclude those addresses from the dhcp server assigned range on the router.  You should also be aware that the router reserves a range of addresses for the STBs.
If you're assigning an ip address because the laptop isn't aquiring an address from the router it means that the laptop isn't seeing the router, either there is not enough signal, the wifi nic is misconfigured or the key you used is incorrect.

  • I have an old Apple bluetooth keyboard I'm attempting to pair to my MacBookPro.  Computer finds the device but can't connect to it.  Tips?

I have an old Apple bluetooth keyboard I'm trying to pair with my laptop.  The computer detects the keyboard but says it's unable to connect.  The keyboard is model no. A1016 and is 5+ years old, at least.  Can anyone advise on this? Is this keyboard obsolete? If so, do you have a favorite keyboard you'd like to recommend?

The ATV only supports bluetooth for keyboards.

  • I have a PCI-FBUS card (dual port), can't connect over 60 devices to it?

I connect to various Fieldbus devices (all from the same manufacturer and same type as we are an OEM) that I am testing (I have 80 in my test system).  I have the dual port PCI Fieldbus card and am running communication manager 3.2 on Windows XP with service pack 2.  As part of my pretest (getting the devices on the bus and assigning them a unique address) I connect to a device and change its address to 20 and power off the device to have it drop off the bus then relay in the next device and connect to it and change the address to 21 etc etc---this process makes it easiest for me as then all I have to do is connect to the only device on the bus and know that it is the device I am interested in assigning to it a new unique address as the others are not on the bus.  I am able to get 30 devices per port (60 devices total since I have a dual port card).  After the 30th device is connected, albeit no devices show up on the bus since they are all powered off, I relay in my 31st device but I can't connect to it on a given port (at this point I have 30 devices that were connected to each port but are now powered off).  I have the card configured to operate within the address range of 16-102 for both ports.
What is the limit of the number of devices that can be connected to a given port?  What would be the recommended way of connected say 80 devices to a PCI card (40 per port).  For my application, after the so called pretest is complete, I do have to have up to 8 devices powered on at the same time (4 per port) so that is why I want to keep the addresses unique per device.  By the way I know this is not a physical connection issue with my station as I can connect to all devices when I limit my test to 60 devices (i.e. I can do the first 60 or the last 60 so the wiring etc is good as well as my assigned address space/parameters for the NI card).

    Hello Jim,
In NI-FBUS, the max number of devices that can be connected to a segment (port) at one same time is 32. This value is defined by FF specification.
    Please try the following method.
After connecting the 30th device, restart NI-FBUS Communications Manager (CM), then connect the 31th device. Check whether the problem still occurs.

  • After updating to 10.6.7 I can't connect wirelessly to iCal any ideas?

    Hi Everyone,
Here is my problem, I have an ipod touch and an iPad that I have been able to connect to my iCal server, and update everything just fine. After I updated my server to 10.6.7 I can't connect to my iCal Server. Funny thing is I can connect with my 2 mac mini's that are hard wired and my Macbook Pro which is wireless. For some reason its just the 2 portable iOS devices that can't connect. I haven't changed any setting at all. Of course I use my portable devices to access my calender the most when I'm on the go. Any ideas would be great! As always thanks for any help in advance. Also if you need any config info let me know and how to do it. I know very little about command line.
    Thanks

    Hi Kcam
Have you also updated your iOS devices to 4.3.2?

  • Question: What makes of projectors can be connected to MacBook

Question: What makes of projectors can be connected to MacBook, also what kind of cable do I need?

    Hi,
Modbus is restricted to addressing 247 devices on one data link, which limits the number of field devices that may be connected to a master station.
However, if you want to increase the number of slaves, you may use MODBUS/TCP.
Here is a link that might help you:
    http://modbus.control.com/thread/1026247380.
The Schneider electric 174CEV30010 Modbus to Ethernet bridge is capable of addressing Modbus slaves from 1 to 247.
The actual number of devices which can be physically connected depends on the medium used and not on the fact it is Modbus.
    Some examples:
RS232 is a 2 device point to point connection when using copper, however when using fiber (or other modems) it is possible to connect up to the maximum of 247 devices.
RS485 is multi-drop and supports 32 devices on a single network. When a repeater is used, on copper wire, the number of devices can usually be increased to 64.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can printer connect to more than one network?

    Hello.
I just bought the wireless HP deskjet 3050 printer. I've connected it to the internet (network) and it's working perfectly. Is it possible to connect to more than one network? We have more than one internet line in the house so I was wondering if I can set it up for both lines. I understand that I can print with multiple computers on the same network (and I am able to do so), but how about on different networks?
    Thanks.

No, it only has one network connection device so can only connect to one at time, sorry.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Windows XP client can't connect to AirPort Extreme AP with WEP enabled.

    Hello,
I have big problem with Mac Mini AirPort Extreme working in AP mode with Windows XP client.
Some time ago, AP refuse to connect Windows XP clients (notebook) when WEP is enabled (40/128 bit, same problem), while before that, everything work perfect.
On other hand, iPhone can connect using WEP without an problem.
When WEP is turned off, XP client can connect but this is not acceptable for me.
I must notice that friend of mine have absolute SAME PROBLEM which rise almost at same time few months ago. They have Mac Mini and XP notebook (different then mine) which can not connect with WEP turned on, while his iPod touch work!
I guess that this happened due AirPort Firmware upgrade included in some of Apple software update.
Does anybody have similar problem or know the solution?
    My AirPort Card Information:
Wireless Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x86)
    Wireless Card Locale: Worldwide
    Wireless Card Firmware Version: 1.4.16.2
    Current Wireless Network: Mac mini
    Wireless Channel: 11
    Tnx in advance.

mikikg, Welcome to the discussion area!
Sorry but this is a known issue.
The only solution is to get a real wireless router instead of using your Mac mini as a base station.

can not connect to my laptop vista using my ellipsis jetpack. can it be done or do i have to switch mifi's?

        Pholcombe,
This should be something you can do and we'll be happy to help figure out why it isn't connecting. Does your laptop see the Jetpack connection at all? If it does and you try to connect do you get an error message or something? What about other devices? Can they connect to the Jetpack ok?

    Hi !
Try to change the IP of your PC. In Network and sharing center, go in the properties of your connection, in ipv4 protocol, add an alternate private ip realy near the one of your gateway, i.e the same first 3 numbers. Then reset your gateway. At this time you may be able to connect to it, or at least partially, If you see it in MAX but can't connect with labview, go in the web interface (enter the ip in your browser) and change the subnet mask of your gateway to 255.255.255.0 in should work.
I have to do this each time I plug a different gateway into my PC...
Hope it will work for you.
