Hardware Failure - RTMT Alert

Hello,
Need a quick suggestion on a RTMT alert -- regarding which I need more clarity whether this is just a harmless caveat or something which can lead to an RMA.
--> Daemon 4 Director Agent: LSIESG_StoragePool_Deleted 500605B001ACAF00 Removed: PD 01(e0xfc/s1) .
--> Daemon 4 Director Agent: LSIESG_PortController_Modified 500605B001ACAF00 Removed: PD 01(e0xfc/s1)
Researched on this -- where as   the bug  CSCti17353 can be a cause  , however that goes out of picture if we see the StoragePool message in the alert log.
Some other bugs pointing out to these :  CSCtn86264 // CSCti05776
Need more clarity on this - appreciate some response here.

is there any way to send mail alert to sysadmin for any hardware failure? The out-of-the box notifications in SunMC must be set up for every data point on every system, which can be a pain to configure and manage in all but the smallest environments. And as you've noticed, for some hardware attributes there are no "Actions" tabs the allow you to configure email. To gain the features of centralized notification, and to get alarms from all sources of events in SunMC, you should consider installing [PrimeAlert EventAction|http://www.halcyoninc.com/products/EventAction/index.php] . It ships with a 30-day eval license, and if you need any help setting it up, please let me know.
    2. does SunMC monitor Sun Fire T2000 hardware fully?Yes, the Tx000 series systems have some of the best hardware support available in SunMC. As an example you can look at a T2000 screenshot and list of hardware info [in this post about SunMC and xVM Ops Center|http://forums.halcyoninc.com/showthread.php?t=109] .

  • Oracle DB offline after server reboot / hardware failure

    Hi,
We have a server that crashed due to hardware failure and although brought back up OK Oracle DB's are no longer mounting. I am not a DBA but it looks bad to me and it seems there are no backups. Can anyone suggest a course of action? This is Oracle 11G XE running on Centos 6. I have put as much detail in as I can and could really do with some advice.

    Hi Guys,
I have copied a backup script below that it turns out has been running every night at midnight. Where does this go, how do I know if it has worked and how can I use it to restore?
    #!/bin/sh
    # The script assumes that user can connect using "/ as sysdba" and Flash
    # Recovery Area is enabled.
    # =================
    # Backup procedure
    # =================
    #    For database in NoArchiveLog mode, database is shutdown and an offline
    #    backup is done;
    #    For database in Archive log mode, online backup is done.
    #    During the backup procedure, the script stores flash recovery area
    #    location by saving complete initialization parameter to
    #    ?/dbs/spfile2init.ora file. This will be used during restore operation
    #    to find Flash Recovery Area location. If this file is lost, then user must
    #    enter Flash Recovery Area location during restore operation.
    #    Two backups are maintained in Flash Recovery Area and the corresponding
    #    log files for last two backup job are saved in
    #    $HOME/oxe_backup_current.log and $HOME/oxe_backup_previous.log

I was directed to adobe to download CS4 on my new iMAC after hardware failure on PC.  The valid CS4 serial number for the PC is now not recognized by Adobe, even though I downloaded all the software successfully on the new iMac..  They gave me a free 30 day trial on the new iMAC.........Does this mean I have to spend a lot of money to update and activate the latest CS release on the new machine ??????

Purple Lobster your Creative Suite 4 serial number is for Windows or Mac only.  If you were previously using it on Windows then it is likely you have a Windows license.  You can verify by checking your serial number at http://www.adobe.com/.  You can find more details at Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.
If you wish to run Adobe Creative software on your new iMac then I would recommend a Creative Cloud complete or single application membership.  You can find more details at https://creative.adobe.com/plans.  There is also a 30 day trial available for the Creative Cloud if you wish to evaluate the newest versions of the Adobe Creative applications.

Restore iPhone with current iTunes on computer. See if better. If still problem, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution. Of if easier for you, take receipt and iPhone, box and everything and return to where you bought it.

  • I suffered a hardware failure on my PC, and have moved to an iMac.  I own Adobe creative Suite 4 for Windows.  Can I transfer the license to my new iMAC without the huge expense of buying a new license?

  • What is procedure to recover music after ipod hardware failure

My uncle's ipod had a hardware failure and died. Apple genius bar gave him an estimate for repair. But he has not repaired it yet. At that time, his music was still playable within iTunes. Then my uncle's tried to transfer music library to his daughter's PC. I do not know exactly what he did but, itunes produced a file called library.XML containing a list of his music titles along with the file paths to each item. At this point, all his music is not playable on his PC nor his daughers's PC. What was can be done with the Library.xml file? What is the purpose of library.xml. After iTunes generates library.xml, what should be done with it? My uncle wants to recover is music library. What should he do? Please help. Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thanks.
On the main Apple Discussions page, select MacBook Pro under Computing Hardware. There you'll find 12 individual forums each with a name and description, e.g.
Using your MacBook Pro (Late 2008 and 2009)
If your question doesn't fit in other categories.
Choose the forum where the description suits the type of question you want to ask. Just above the list of threads will be a link to *Post New Topic*, click this to proceed.
Use the subject line to give a concise description of your issue rather than something like "Help me!" as there are plenty of users who have experience with specific topics who will scan the subject lines and may ignore anything they don't immediately recognise as an area they can help with.

  • IPhone hardware failure in 1 yr 2 months! Can anything be done for replacement?

I had purchased an iPhone 5 in Nov 2012 here in India (Bangalore) for ~ Rs 45,000.
However for the past few months it started crashing mysteriously. For the last few days the frequency of crash increased to 20-30 times a day (from the previous 2-3 times a week). Recently after a crash, it rebooted upto the "Recovery Mode" screen only.
I tried with the latest iTunes to do recovery but it always failed at the _end_ of writing the new software. I even tried the DFU mode, but that too fails right at the end of writing the new software. Sometimes it gave error 12 and sometimes error 9. I've tried different USB cables just to make sure there was no problem there but to no avail!
I then showed it to the Apple service center folks here (service is provided by an Apple authorised service unit - Ample) but they too were unable to fix it. They said it was a "rare" internal hardware failure. They are asking me to cough up Rs 21,000 for a replacement unit!
It's barely 2 months out of the warrannty period when the dam phone crashed. This is real poor quality of service from Apple. Is there anything I can do to get my unit replaced? Is there an escalation I can do to get someone's attention in fixing my issue?
    TIA for any tips.

For the first part, that does beg the question whether this is something that is more of a problem with iCloud than it is other providers, for whatever reason.
I'm not a huge fan of anecdotal "evidence" in general, but iCloud mail does seem to have the worst reputation for missing messages when compared to Gmail or even Outlook.com, at least going by a quick search. For other iCloud mail users, does this ever concern you? Any former iCloud users who left for similar reasons?

  • [RTMT-ALERT] CallProcessingNodeCpuPegging

We are receiving an RTMT alert for one of the node in the cluster.
    Error is [RTMT-ALERT] CallProcessingNodeCpuPegging.
    Processor load over 90 Percent.
Aupair (98 percent) uses most of the CPU.
Please suggest what to do for the resolution of this and also want to know what is this AUPAIR and why is it running on CCM server.
    Its urgent.

    Hi Sam,
If the CPU pegging alert is reported at some specific time of the day then it is most likely due to some scheduled activity like DRS Backup, CDR Load etc. Please check the following link
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00808ef0f4.shtml
    CPU Pegging Alerts
CPUPegging/CallProcessNodeCPUPegging alerts monitor CPU usage based on       configured thresholds:
    Note: %CPU is calculated as %system + %user + %nice + %iowait + %softirq +           %irq
    Alert messages include these:
    %system, %user, %nice, %iowait, %softirq, and %irq
The process that uses the most CPU
The processes that wait on Uninterruptible disk           sleep
CPU Pegging alerts can come up in RTMT due to higher CPU usage than       what is defined as the watermark level. Since CDR is a CPU intensive       application when it loads, check if you receive the alerts in the same period       as when the CDR is configured to run reports. In this case, you can need to       increase the threshold values on RTMT. Refer to       Alerts for more information about RTMT alerts.

  • RTMT ALERTS FOR CCM

Getting the following alert in the call manager in the RTMT for low water mark exceeded, my experience tells setting the log alert value to a lower level helps on the issue , but not sure. Can somebody guide on this.

    Abhishek,
Looks like the lower threshold for UsedDiskSpace is set at around 60% & that's why the alert has raised. Keeping it at 75-80% is also fine. All it means is whenever 75-80 % of disk space is full, give an alert. I feel alert at 60% is too low or can be ignored.
Pls remember to rate helpful posts.

  • RTMT alert CoreDumpFileFound

    Hi all,
need some help in understanding the following RTMT alert that came in last night:
At Sat Jan 24 01:29:52 PST 2015 on node , the following CoreDumpFileFound events generated:
    TotalCoresFound : 1
CoreDetails : The following lists up to 6 cores dumped by corresponding applications.
    Core1 : Unknown (core.17118.11.cimlistener.1422095365)
AppID : Cisco Log Partition Monitoring Tool
    ClusterID :
    NodeID : IPTSUB01
     TimeStamp : Sat Jan 24 01:29:28 PST 2015
    Is this a self-rectifying event?
Would a therapeutic reboot be warranted?
Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi Carlo,
Thank you very much for your feedback..  I followed your suggested approach and it looks like the scenario matches Matthews':  Example 3: Core Stack Corruption ... (please see backtrace below)

per Matthew's article ...the next steps...  "It is recommended that the corresponding service log (e.g. ccm traces, tomcat logs) and the complete core file be retrieved from the affected system for TAC review."  Could you suggest which ccm traces (and for what period of time) will be needed? also, need a little clarification on the tomcat logs (how-to pull)... lastly, could you provide the best method to copy the core dump file for tac or will the syntax of the utils core analyze <coredump filename> be sufficient?
    Thank you!

  • RTMT ALERT ERROR CiscoDRFFailure

From the past few days Im getting this RTMT alert constantly,
Reason : DRF was unable to backup component PHX_CONFIG.Error : Unknown Database Error AppID : Cisco DRF Master ClusterID :
Any ideas what this error might be ?

    Hi Kamalakar,
    Looks to be the following
    https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCur24834/?reffering_site=dumpcr
    Symptom:
UCCX backup fails on CUIC component for second node (phx_config)
    Conditions:
    UCCX 10.5 SU1 HA
    Workaround:
    1. Enable Root access on both first node and the second node
    2. Copy the /opt/cisco/desktop/openfire/passphrase from Primary Node to the same location on Secondary Node.
    3. Restart the Unified CCX Notification Service and the Cisco Finesse Tomcat service.
    4. Redo the Back up. It should work this time.

  • RTMT Alert

    Hi All,
I have query related to RTMT alert. is it possible to edit/add more information about the alert?
For Example, recently I got the below alert which has no necessary information like which router/gateway port number cluster details etc.. Its just a blind message.
MGCP DChannel is out-of-service. Current total of 1 MGCP gateway device(s) with D-Channel-Out-Of-Service status. The alert is generated on Thu May 19 11:10:29 EDT 2011 on cluster StandAloneCluster.
Do we have any option to enable/edit the more information for RTMT alert in CUCM?
    Thanks in advance !!!!

    Hi,
I think you have to go into RTMT and click on alert details here to view the actual name of the device.
Only other quick way to handle this is SNMP traps from the actual router and into email..
    Cheers,
    Tim

  • RTMT alert for PRI

Is there any way to generate an RTMT alert as soon  as the PRI goes down in cisco voice gateway (MGCP). I have almost 20 gateways and all have multiple T1 circuits  and need to setup on all.

Thanks Yosh, I have Alerts setup for "Number of Registered Gateways Decreased" but my management wants to have Alert specific for all PRI's.
I wonder if I setup alert for D-Channel "DatalinkService" does it sent alert for the status of individual PRI "Down/up
