Hardware Inventory has stooped working

We had a contractor come in recently and performed some work on our System Center 2012 R2 server. Since he has left we are no longer performing Hardware Inventories. I have tracked down the problem to IIS and this particular log entry: 192.168.0.166 BITS_POST
/CCM_Incoming/{519C57CE-3A98-43CB-8192-2E726BBB6718} (bits_error:,501,0x80070005) 80 - 192.168.7.41 Microsoft+BITS/7.5 - 501 0 0 1764 34
I have found a post that talks about this same error: http://methmal132.wordpress.com/2013/10/04/client-machines-not-sending-hardware-inventory-sccm-2012-2/
This article talks about the Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\CCM\Incoming folder not having sufficient rights on the virtual directory and it folders. Underneath the Incoming folder is another folder called BITS-Sessions and underneath that
folder are three more folders called CleanupGuids, Replies, Requests
Before I go changing rights I would like to know what the proper rights are for this folder and sub folders. Can someone help out?

looking at my own lab (just 1 server with all roles, so this may not be a good representation), ccm\incoming ntfs security is "Administrators" have full rights. and "SYSTEM" has full rights
on ccm\incoming\bits-Sessions:
Inheritance is not enabled.
Administrators: full rights
SYSTEM: full rights
Everyone: has "special" permissions of subfolders and files only
Keep in mind this is my lab... which means I mess with it.  I really don't know if those rights are normal or not.  Probably.. but I don't want to promise anything.
Suggestion: if you have the same rights, if your Management Point(s) aren't on the same server as your primary, you may want to just drop the Management Points' Computer Account into the local Administrators' group on the primary.

iTunes boots up and about 5-10 seconds later I receive the iTunes has stopped working message. When I click on the "Check online for solution and close the program" button it tells me that SQLite 3 has stopped working properly and a new version is available. The link takes me to the SQLIte page which is confusing. I've tried to downlaod what looks like download install files and even coping files. Can anyone tell me if SQLite is really the problem or how to download the files correctly. I'll also get the SyncServer has stopped working when I plug in my iPhone.

When I click on the "Check online for solution and close the program" button it tells me that SQLite 3 has stopped working properly
That suggests trouble with your Apple Application Support. (iTunes needs a properly functioning AAS in order to work correctly.)
How we try to fix it depends on if your Vista is 32-bit or 64-bit. There's links to 32-bit and 64-bit instructions in the following thread (along with links to instructions on how to determine if you're 32-bit or 64-bit):

Have you worked through each of the 5 R's yet to rule out the possibility of corrupted software or data on the iPod.

It wouldn't hurt to also let the iPod's battery full drain as a test.
Otherwise, you'll need to take/send the iPod in for service/replacement either through Apple or a third party service.

  • Since Update Photoshop CC recently it has stooped working

I just update Photoshop CC , and after that when i launch the application it stoped working,
    here is the screenshot
    pls help me ..

    Finally I Solve this problem,
My OS is Windows 8 (64bit)
After Updating the Photoshop CC 14.1 i encounter this issue, so first of all I  check my Display Driver(NVIDIA Geforce GT610) which was one step lower version , So I tried to disable my external graphic card driver, below is the screenshot how i did.
After disable the driver i open Photoshop CC and it works.
So Next I went to NVIDIA  Website and check what is the version, and there i found that my card version is Older, So i downloaded the latest version.
Generally Windows8 give us the alert to update the driver but this time it didn't.
After installing the Latest Driver, I restart my PC and enable the driver and open Photoshop CC and It Works.
This process works for me, if anyone you face this issue, pls try this and let me know.
    Cheers !

  • Audio output has stoop working after mavericks upgrade

a few weeks ago i noticed that when i plugged my audio cable into the headphone jack it wasn't working. i checked the sound preferences and mysteriously this had changed setting to mute. i unmuted it and all was well. i have been away and not used my laptop but updated software yesterday, pages, numbers etc and today when i connect my audio cable to the headphone jack it doesn't work even when system preferences show mute to be switched off.
what on earth is going on with apple????? Why so many problems with mavericks? why can't they just leave us all alone!!!
The problems I am having with mavericks is making me think long and hard about whether I will buy another apple lap top in the future.

You were not using Mavaricks before either.
You will need to contact Microsoft for Mac Support  and/or post in their forums.

Why does my airport wifi icon now say "No Hardware installed" It has been working for ever

This message comes up when your Mac no longer recognizes that there is an operational AirPort card installed. This can be due to a number of reasons, including card or antenna cabling failure.
You can try either a PRAM or SMC reset. Which you choose will depend on the exact model of your Mac, but most likely, a visit to your local Apple Store is in order.

  • Hardware Inventory Not working for sccm 2012

    Version 5.00.7804.1000 Devices 3,000
One of the guys who left broke Hardware Inventory no client are able to report. I do see Software info in the Resource Explorer. It's enabled on the server. I don't see anything in Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\MP\OUTBOXES\hinv.box
The dataldr.log Checking inbox for any MIFs to process... Waiting for a MIF...Looking for inventory schema changes......no inventory schema changes found. I think the configuration.mof  in Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\clifiles.src\hinv
was changed. if so how can I fix this it might be corrupted. At lease clients are getting their packages. hey I have to look at the good I'm just a packager.

Copy the configuration.mof file and import a new mof file from another ConfigMgr environment.

    Mastering ConfigMgr 2012 The Fundamentals

  • Some Hardware inventory values get translated/localized to local language of the workstation

    Hi all,
I am doing hardware inventory in SCCM 2012 R2, I have included the OSArchitecture (actually displayed as "OS Architecture") property for the "Operating System" class (the Win32_OperatingSystem WMI class actually). The data gather correctly
    - from Windows 6.x+ while there is nothing from Windows XP/2003, which is correct according to documentation of the WMI class. That is OK. So inventory works fine.
My problem is different - for some workstations, the value is localized. Normally, there should be just "64-bit" or "32-bit", but on some of my Czech workstations, the value is "64bitovy" or "32bitovy". This indicates
the WMI values are obtained as localized.
Though, if I try to query WMI on the problematic workstation from PowerShell, the value is in English, so the WMI can produce the English value as well, if necessary.
How can I switch SCCM Hardware Inventory to gather non-localized WMI values from all workstations?
    thank you!

hello, yes, the caption is also localized.
it appears like the Display Language of the Operating System account makes the difference. If I install English language pack for OS (not SCCM client) on the client machine and switch the Display Language for the operating system profile, the hardware
inventory changes to display English 64-bit value.
It works exactly the same when querying Win32_OperatingSystem from PowerShell. If the user has his display language set as Czech, powershell returns value of "64bitovy", if the user changes his display language to English, PowerShell displays the value
    as "64-bit".
So as the SCCM client runs under System account, it just queries Win32_OperatingSystem and returns what it gets to SCCM server.
One solution would be to change system display langauge to English on all workstations, but this seems like impossible.
Isn't there a method by which I would make all my SCCM clients query in English locale instead?

  • Hardware Inventory, with a comma

I am unable to add an item to Hardware Inventory and it appears this because it has a comma.  Looking for ways to work around this or do some preprocessing maybe.
I was hoping to gather Fiber Channel info including WWNs so I have added Root\wmi\msfc_AdapterHBAAttributes.  The system collects them correctly and transfers them to the server.
Collection: Namespace = root\wmi; Query = SELECT __CLASS, __PATH, __RELPATH, InstanceName, NodeWWN , Manufacturer, Model, ModelDescription, OptionROMVersion FROM MSFC_FCAdapterHBAAttributes; Timeout = 600 secs. InventoryAgent 1/30/2014 2:50:32
    PM 1228 (0x04CC)
The server however fails to process the data, apparent because there is a comma in it.
    Compilation failed~syntax error on line 19563, token ','  SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER           1/30/2014 1:50:17 PM    5308 (0x14BC)

A look at the data passed shows, sure enough, there is a comma in wwn. this is kinda the info I want so I do not want to omit it.
    Start Group
    Name = "Fibre Channel HBA"
    ID = 1076
    Class = "MICROSOFT|MSFC_FCADAPTERHBAATTRIBUTES|1.0"
    Pragma = "SMS:ADD"
    Key = 1

Start Attribute Name = "ModelDescription" ID = 4 Type = String Value = "QLogic HPAK344A Fibre Channel Adapter" End Attribute
    Start Attribute Name = "NodeWWN" ID = 5 Type = Integer Value = 80, 1, 67, 128, 9, 172, 54, 59 End Attribute
Start Attribute Name = "OptionROMVersion" ID = 6 Type = String Value = "2.15" End Attribute
    End Group
I was thinking of running a script to read the data, massage it and write it to a custom key but really?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    OK.
So this would be a bit of a Microsoft bug I guess. The WMI instance clearly states it is an array of integers however selecting the attribute as a new inventory item using the SCCM 2012 GUI does not correctly add it to the mof as an array.
Here is what the tool created below.
I modified the line     UInt8     NodeWWN; to be     UInt8     NodeWWN[]; and reimported it.
Forced an inventory but it errored with a delta mismatch.
Forced a full inventory (gwmi -Namespace root\ccm\invagt -Class InventoryActionStatus -Filter "InventoryActionID = '{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001}'" | Remove-WmiObject) and all good now.  Collects wwn ok.

  • I've had my iPod 5th gen for a few months now and out of nowhere the microphone has stopped working.

I've had my iPod 5th gen for a few months now and out of nowhere the microphone has stopped working. It won't pick up anything, I can't use it for recording, face time, siri or anything else. Every time I try and record and play it back its just all fuzzy, is there anyway of fixing it without having to send it off for repair?

    - Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens(if has back camera). For the 16 GB one without the back camera the mic hole is on the tope edge near the center.
    - Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • "Configfree has stopped working" error on Satellite L300 running Win7_32bit

Full text message *ConfigFree Task Tray Menu has stopped working*
Every time the USB modem (Huawei E352 HSPA USB stick) connects this error appears. Running Win7 Ultimate 32 bit.
Did Google search: some reckon it's a virus, others reckon it's a hardware/software issue.
How do I fix it? Any ideas?
    Thanks

It is not easy to help you because you use external third part hardware. I dont think ConfigFree is tested so intensively with all kinds of external devices.
Why this happen can be just speculation. Fact is that ConfigFree is not necessary to run so I recommend you to exit ConfigFree before you start to use your modem. How to fix it? Good question. What you can do about it? Not much. Maybe to search for newer ConfigFree version and reinstall it in hope it will be OK. In my opinion, not more than that.
I use ConfigFree constantly with LAN and WLAN networks and there is no problem at all.

  • Satellite L770 - ethernet adapter has stopped working

    HI
I have three laptops all connectable to my home hub, but I seem to be having serious problems with the latest model, the L770-13D. The signal strength has never been as good as the older models and just recently the Ethernet adapter has stopped working. I've updated drivers on both adapters but it hasn't made any difference. I've just recently upgraded my connection and I'm wondering whether the Ethernet adapter is not correctly configured since it was working alright prior to the upgrade.
I've also tried just about every test that I can do - The Toshiba config doctor returned a FAIL on the hardware check I did, but the device manager reports that both network adapters are working OK. Also, the troubleshooting of the wireless adapter reports that there 'may be a problem' The evidence seems to be pointing towards a hardware problem with this laptop.
    Any thoughts?

    HI Dr Lamp,
No I haven't tried that probably because I wouldn't know how to do it. I have a full recovery image on the data drive but I'm not comfortable with making any changes to the OS in case I mess things up. I've also got a recovery flash drive. Really, I'm out of my depth when it comes to making these sort of changes - I just thought that there may be something very simple that I'd overlooked. The machine is still under warranty, so I'll probably take it to a local computer specialist for diagnosis before involving Toshiba. If it's more than a software problem, they should earn their fees by repairing it. If you involve them and it isn't a hardware problem, they will bill you for about 80 plus carriage, so I'm naturally reluctant to do that. Also, you have to hang about waiting for delivery and collection. It may better to buy a USB/LAN adapter for about 20. Thanks for reply, anyhow.

  • Satellite 1130-Z24,system has stopped working altogether

    Hi
My system has stopped working altogether, since it was dropped, only from a small distance though. When connected to AC power, the light work, so I suspect power is getting to it, and I suspect I have damaged either the motherboard or power supply, but I am hoping something simple. Has anybody any manuals showing how to dismantle the satellite 1130, or any other suggestions.
    Kind Rgrds
    Chris

    Hello Chris
Unfortunately there is no official document how to disassemble/assemble your Satellite. In my opinion the best solution is to contact service partner in your country.
I am pretty sure that they can help you. Who knows which hardware part is damaged.
    Good luck!

  • Satellite P300: Display Driver has stopped working using external monitor

I have a number of these Satellite P300 PSPCCA-OC201Y and recently bought external monitors for them.
Since then we seem to be getting "Display Driver has stopped working and has recovered" messages, then after about 5 of these, it crashes.
Starting with one machine, I have updated display drivers, bios was current, all to no avail.
I then did a complete system restore back to original. Has not solved the problem.
    Any ideas?

    hi Keven Dickenson,
as you said you restored the system and still there is no way to get things work it may be a hardware issue...
i my opinion you should consult a servicepartner to check this out...
is there any of the machines working with the external monitor at all?
if none of them is able to connect to ext. display maybe your installation has a problem or the monitor is faulty...
try it with another monitor and recover one system to factory installation....
