Hardware Migration for sap R/3 4.7 Ext 200

Hi all
We are Upgrading our SAP R/3 4.7 Ext200 SR1 nonunicode oracle 9.2.0.8 to ECC6 EHP5 Unicode 11.2.0.2.
But first we need to migrate our hardware.(i.e we are shifting the data from our old server to new server).
We will install R/3 4.7 on new sever with oracle 10.2.0.4 and restore database backup from old server oracle 9 to new server oracle 10 .Now i need to know apart from following activities what else i need to consider.
instance profile parameter (ST02). we will give the same parameter value to  new servers instance profile
Background Jobs(db13) we will schedule same if DB SID is changed or if we give same DB SID than no need to schedule again
System logical name (BD54)
RFC connections (SM59)
se06,STMS
We have done all above in two testing Servers.
Kindly guide me if any other activity is required.
Kindly support
Gurbir Singh

It depends on your landscape as well, apart from common system copy steps.
For e.g. in Production you might be having various interfaces etc. So, you will have to take care of those too.
Similarly try to extract something related to your landscape so that you don't miss anything, for e.g. registration of new servers into 'mail server' for SMTP/SCOT configuration, printer configuration if host/OS printer drivers/queues are needed etc.
Thanks

  • Hardware requirements for SAP ERP 2005 using ECC 6.0

The last information i had from another one to this configuration is:
    1 dual-core cpu (? Ghz)
    4-6 GB RAM

    Hi,
    IDES 7.10?!?
If it's an IDES system you want to set up, HDD space may be the bottleneck. It's sufficient for installation, but you may run out of disk space since note <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1013391">1013391</a> states
    Hardware Requirement
                     MS-SQL  ORACLE   MaxDB   DB2 Win/Unix  AS/400
    DB size (GB):    160     220      220          160       280
Since IDES is for education and training purposes only the rest should be sufficient.
I'm running an ERP 6.0 IDES system (32 bit) on a single core, 3.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 250 GB System and 500 GB SAP/DB HDD with pretty good response time.

    Points always appreciated

  • Minimum Hardware Requirement for SAP Business One For HANA

    Hello EveryOne,
I want to install SAP Business One for HANA (On Premises) Version on my Laptop. What would be the minimum hardware requirement for that so that it can run smoothly on the system.
Is it can install on laptop or I need to buy giant server.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Idrees,
    Check following links:

    http://help.sap.com/hana/SAP_HANA_Installation_Guide_en.pdf
One more thing to note that you can use only HANA Certified Hardwares for B1 (Dell, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, HUAWEI)

  • Maximum user and hardware requirement for SAP B1

    Dear All,
One of our prospect said that they will need 80 users and 160 connections to servers. And every year there will be additional user growth as much 30. What will be the hardware requirement for that ? has SAP B1 installed in that kind situation ? I appreciate your answer.
    Rgds,

    Mark,
Please refer to the following PDF
    https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_FRAME=CONTAINER&_OBJECT=011000358700000270512007E&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000183&_ADDINC=
Regarding 80 user initially with a growth of 30 user every year should not be a problem, but you might want to consider the volume of transactions to determine the performance aspect of the system.

  • Data migration for SAP E-Recruiting

    Hi all,
We are looking for a standard way to migrate data from a nun sap system into SAP E- Recruiting.
Is there any way for doing so?
    Thanks,

There is no standard way available for data migration in SAP for E-recruiting.
As it believes in the concept of creating new data and a new talent pool.

  • BC 4.8 Migration for SAP e-filing

    Hello,
We are planning to upgrade existing BC 4.7 to BC 4.8 on new hardware. I am bit concerened about SAP e-filing package for GB customer, How will it function when upgraded to BC 4.8. My basic queries are
    1. Is any newer release of BC Application Package for e-Filing from the Payroll GB customer?
    2. Is existing BC Application Package for "e Filing: 46C and above" fully compitable with BC 4.8. if yes, Is there any change required.
    3. We can transfer the complete packages and transaction data to new BC 4.8, do we still have to re-configure the setting for e-filing after setting up new BC 4.8 on new hardware.
    4. Has any coustomer migrated to BC 4.8 in UK/Ireland?
    5. Can testing of the above scenorio is possible in Project Test landscape. If yes, is there test environment is available.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hello,
I have no experience with that e-filing package. Best way is to install a test BC 4.8 environment and then test the functionality. Only that will give you certainty about your questions. But some hints:
about 2) if that package is not using undocumented service calls (which may have been removed in 4.8 because not part of the public interface), there should be no problem.
about 3) the package configuration normally is stored under the package folder itself, that means that configuration will be transferred automatically as well. So the answer depends on where the e-file package configuration is stored, please check

  • Hardware requirement for SAP HANA

    All,
I am following all about HANA modelling and other related topics. Now, i am concentrating for the hardware part.
Does SAP HANA requires separate hardware than that of existing ECC hardware? I mean can ECC instance & HANA run on same hardware or always it is required to run HANA on separate hardware?

  • Hardware Spec for SAP ISU 6 + CRM IDES 7

    Hi,
What would be a recommended hardware spec required to run SAP ISU 6 + CRM IDES 7 with atmost 4-5 concurrent users?
I plan to implement it using CentOS & SAP MAXDB.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sumith

    Hi,
As the concurrent users seem to be less, you only need to ensure disk space (for an ERP and CRM IDES you would need atleast 600-700GB) along with appropriate page file size of approx 120-140GB.
    As for CPU/RAM: a 2 CPU/8Cores (Intel/AMD 2.08GHz) with 32GB RAM should do well enough.
However, if you plan to do the setup for productive environment please use the SAP Quick Sizer tool.

  • Hardware requirements for SAP test server.

    Hi SAP Experts,
We want to have a SAP test server for developing a prototype of SAP. Approx 12 users should be able to access this server
concurrently.A industry specific solution (IS-Auto) also needs to installed over the standard SAP.
Could you provide me the Hardware specifications required for this setup?.like the processor, ram, hard disk space ,etc...
    Awaiting your quick answers.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Umesh Karane.

Hi Umesh. You need to read this http://service.sap.com/ides .Download  the documentation to that version which it is pleasant to you and in it there will be all corresponding information about hardware and e.t.c.
