Hardware serial number on CUCM 6.1 7845-H2

Hi, does someone knows how to grab the hardware serial number of a 7845-H2 with CUCM 6.1 installed on it. On CCM 4.x/Windows platform we had the HP management Web tools that permit to grab the hardware information. How can we do on Linux platform ? any magic command or hidden Menu to get Hardware serial number ?
ssh show hardware does not work
and OS administration Hardware do the same
thanks for your help and link to any documentation.

i reply to myself, as i have found the work arround from cisco website : http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCso99275
so ssh on the server and run
utils snmp walk 2c public 127.0.0.1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.1.0
of course replace public by the snmp community string you have define on your call manager.

How to show module and SFP information include hardware serial number on Nexus switch?                 Thanks.

    Hi,
The show inventory command will give you details of the Nexus chassis, power supplies, Supervisor, Fabric, I/O modules (including FEX if you have them) etc. To get the details of the installed SFP/SFP+ then you'll need to use the show interface transceiver command.

Why does Apple not recognize my hardware serial number?

You could ask them when you talk to them. We are just your fellow users and not privy to the reasons behind Apple's policies.
    Best of luck.

  • Read hardware serial number

    Hello there
Is there a method of reading the hardware serial number of a NI device?
    Thanks
    Jannie

For a DAQmx device, you can use a property node. See attached example.
Functions palette >> Measurement I/O (or NI Measurements for LV7) >> DAQmx - Data Acquisition >> DAQmx Advanced >> System Setup >> DAQmx Device Property Node
Put the property node on the diagram >> resize it to add a property
Click on the lower property >> Identification >> Device Serial Number
Wire the device to the ActiveDev property and an indicator to DevSerialNum. The serial number is a hexadecimal value and therefore you should set the string indicator to hexadecimal.

  • Hardware Serial Number

I'm trying to convert all my music into another version, but it wont let me Shift+folders, instead i have to do them all 1 song at a time, which is a pain with over 10k songs.
I'm trying to find my hardware serial number for itunes, so that i can ask the express lane, how to convert folders instead of singles at a time (only with devices that sync to itunes) where is this number exactly? and why should i even need to find this number for Itunes, or why isn't it under "my products" like my ipods and iphones?
If any of you could tell me how to convert folders at the same time as answering the above, that would be swell too

You can also zoom in/out in by holding ctrl and 2 fingers on the trackpad or with a mouse scroll wheel.
This can be done on any application, be it web browser/office app, etc...
Its a built in function in Mac OSX.

  • Missing software/hardware/serial number.

    Hey there.
I have a treo 750 AT&T branded that i got shipped over from the states when the came out and were still unavailable in Australia where i live.
Id love to be able to update it with the 2.25 but the AT&T one i downloaded says it only works with an updater with a service.
Should i be using an unbranded update or am i missing something.
Ironically as well when i hard reset my phone when i got it the software, hardware and serial number were erased in the start/system/about/phone.
Is there anyway to get them back so i can try to get a legit download that will work because this having the time messed up and unable to DST it is making feel like hitting something (probably the phone) with a hammer.
    Any help would be appreatiated.
    Cheers

Ok. At this point I tell you, you have the update. Next thing to try is a hard reset of the device. Right now something is wrong with it you should have on that device a remote desktop in the start menu or in the programs. If it is not there we need to see if we can get the device back working correctly. Now this is up to you if you don't mine not seeing the software/hardware/or serial number and not having the remote desktop you do not need to hard reset.
to hard reset go here http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887

  • Get hardware serial number over PersonalJava

i was wondering if there's a solution to get the serial number of my iPaq (or my desktops-motherboard) with java.
does anyone has a solution or same problems?

To get the serial number for ipaq, you'll have to go the JNI route. Here's an article about how to do that (at least the C++ part) for PocketPC 2002, http://www.pocketpcdn.com/qa/serial_number2002.html
I don't belive that will work for CE 3.0, but Compaq does have an SDK that will work, you can write the JNI to call their SDK functions. I dont' have the URL for this anymore, but it shouldn't be that hard to find.

  • Invalid Hardware Serial Number - Impossible?

    Hi!
I have a MacBook Pro 15" for which I'm trying to shop for memory upgrades. I'm not sure which rev I have (it's either rev D or E) as both have the same clock speed as shown in the system profile, and both have the same model # (3,1), and both have the same graphics card, so comparing the spec sheets to the info in my System Profiler doesn't narrow it down any further than those two possibilities.
So, to try to determine which model I have I went to Apple's website to type in the serial number.  I copied and pasted the serial number directly from the System Profiler to assure no user error, and yet I get a message from the Apple Website that says this is an invalid serial number (?!?!?!).  I tried appleserialnumberinfo.com's website and it ALSO rejects the number as being invalid.
How can this possibly be?  Try it yourself -- The serial # in question is:  W7234S0X92 (again, copied directly from System Profiler and pasted into this email).
Apple store visit is impractical at present (I'm on a seagoing vessel)  Phone support for Apple is also a dead end -- without a valid serial number the conversation stops right there, and at $1/min for Ocean Phone I can't afford the hold time anyway. Advice on not substituting O for 0, 5 for S, etc. isn't appropriate -- I'm not doing that. I'm COPYING AND PASTING the number from System Profiler. Also I'm NOT accidentally including an extra space at either end. I've done this over and over ad nauseaum.
What I really need to know is, is there another way I can determine exactly what model of MacBook Pro I have? (I'm the third owner, the original owner is dead and the second doesn't know).  I'm also interested in knowing why Apple says the computer I am typing this on doesn't even exist, but that's really more an intellectual question than a practical one for me.
    Thanks!
    Steve M.

Thanks to all who responded -- and so quickly! The info provided is exactly what I'm looking for.
I'd also written to appleserialnumberinfo.com and they not only provided helpful info on the memory but an explanation for the serial number issue as well.  I'd forgotten that the previous owner had had the logic board of this MacBook Pro replaced under warranty just before selling it to me. Evidently this repair requires a technician to input the serial number, and the technician inputted it correctly. They also figured out what the correct serial number probably is, and from that I as able to determine that my MacBook Pro is a Santa Rosa model from mid 2007 and based on responses I got from you guys and a check with OWC, my computer can support up to 6GB of memory. So, thanks to all!!!

  • HT2584 hardware serial number

    Hi
Whenever I try to download something for the app store a box comes up saying
This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store.
It has only recently started doing this, I have had it for 2 months, my password word and username are both correst, so not sure what to do or why its doing it?
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks
    Rosie

    Hi Rosie,
Are you sharing this computer with anyone?  Check to see if you are in fact signed in by clicking in the App Store menu bar Store > View My Account ("your email for apple ID"). Or if you are not signed in it will simply say Sign In. Or perhaps show someone else's Apple ID?
Next I would go to iTunes and do the same (here it will show you more details if you successfully Sign In) Store > View My Account ("your email for apple ID").
If someone els is using their Apple ID be aware that signing them out and then signing in with yours will mean any old DRM purchased music on this computer (you can tell because its 128kbps) will no longer play or sync. This shouldn't be the case for newer purchases. As for Apps, I believe they will still launch but you will not have the ability re-download and install them. Also, iTunes in the Cloud features only allow you to associate a different Apple ID with a device 90 days from the day it was first "Associated". A device is automatically "Associated" with you Apple ID once you turn on Automatic Downloads or download any Past Purchases onto a computer or device which is also Authorised. You can check to see what date a device was "Associated" under iTunes > Store > View My Account > Manage Devices.
But, if this is a new computer and first time App purchase, your problem should be allot more straight forward. Have you succesfully purchased or downloaded Apps and iTunes content with this Apple ID before? If you can view your account in iTunes, check that all details appear to be normal, try signing out / back in. Also try simply quiting iTunes and App Store then reopen.
If you cannot sign into your account by doing either of these things, then I would definitely contact Apple to make sure something isn't askew on their end.
    Good luck Rosie! :]

  • Is there any way to track a stolen laptop using the mac address, or by triangulating the wifi, or even by checking to see if the macbooks serial number has been registered online anywhere?

A little info on my question,
I had it stoeln on June 22nd 2013. I had recently bought it so had not installed any software on it nor did I have registered with icloud. I had contacted police, registered it stolen with Apple (but then just discovered this week that apple do not have a database for stolen products, which makes no sense at all).
I have contacted all the major pawn shops and computer stores in town etc etc. I have recently discovered that each laptop has a unique MAC address whcih begs the question, is that traceable somehow? I have been made aware that the router strips the mac address before it connects it to the internet but does the isp log the laptops MAC address? If i contacted all the major isp in my country would they have the ability to search for the mac address of my latop and then link that with an ip address?
Any help would be great please!

    karlgporter wrote:
Yeah but I registered it stolen with Apple first thing, then called local police etc. Apple told me on the phone that the serial has been logged as stolen, which I assumed would limit the computers use online.
Every machine has a unique serial number what I was getting at is there must be some way to track the serial number and for example if the theif logged onto facebook using a stolen machine, if there were a register of stolen equipment then red flags would pop up, you know what I mean?
Well, I hadn't heard of that before. If it's true, then what you say should also be true but the Mac would have to publish its hardware serial number over the Internet and I haven't heard of that either. The only Apple tech that is supposed to constantly track you is iCloud.
You said you assumed the database would limit use online but if that's only an assumption, you need to ask Apple what exactly the stolen database does. It is possible that the serial number might only get flagged if it comes into an Apple Store for service, if it ever does. You need to clarify this with Apple.
