Hardware specifications for EBS Modules

Hi,
I want to know the way how to recommend Client about the hardware specifications for Oracle EBS R12 modules implementation. Can anyone give me a link that how the specifications requirement can be gathered for good performance of Oracle EBS.
Thanks & Regards,

  • Hardware specification for Oracle 10g

    Hello all,
I need a hardware specification for Oracle 10g. Where can I find any information about this topic?
    Thanks
    Wisnia

Minimal HW requirements are described in documentation.
As you question is very general (you didn't provide some parameters) then maybe this site will help you: http://www.sizinglounge.com/

  • Do you need physical hardware specifications for virtual machine

I am currently running VMware Server 2.0. I am working with a server whos hardware specifications cannot support Windows Server 2008. My question is should I still be able to create a virtual Windows Server 2008 under VMware since all the hardware should be virtualized.

    Bigpantha wrote:
So why is it that I get the error “Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode.”
Your physical CPU/motherboard either does not have the required hardware features, or does not have them enabled.

  • Hardware Specifications for the following

I want to set up the following virtual environment with the following and would like to know if this hardware spec will be able to run this. Hope for some feedback on this. Users is 20.
    Server Hardware Spec :
    2 X Intel Xeon E5606 2.13Ghz Processors
    96 GB RAM
    6 X Seagate 600GB SAS 15000RPM Drives setup in RAID 10
    2 X Seagate 1TB SAS  72000RPM Drivers setup in RAID 5
VM's to be running the following
VM1 Windows 2012  -  Domain Controller and File Server
    VM2  Windows 2012  - Exchange Server 2013
    VM3 Windows 2012  - SQL 2012
    VM4 Windows 2012  - Great Plains
    VM5 Windows 2012 - IIS

Intel Xeon Processor E5606 is quite a few generations back now. How old is the box?
I'd be hard-pressed to deploy a virtualization stack on anything beyond E3 and E5 series CPUs maybe pushing into the E5640 and up (E560x are entry-level low performance CPUs).
We had a drive fail in a RAID 10 array. When swapping it out when the new one was plugged back in its pair failed about 2 minutes later. That put a stop to RAID 10 for us. RAID 6 and the server would still be alive today.
I suggest filling up the hard drive bays with the same make/model/size SAS drives and configure RAID 6. With a non-volatile cache or battery backup you should get decent throughput and IOPs. But that depends on what RAID controller this box will have too.
That far back generation wise and performance may not be as good as anticipated.
Disk subsystem and I/O will generally be the bottleneck in any virtualization solution IME.
Set up one RAID 6 array with two logical drives:
    95GB LD for OS
    Balance for VHDX files
Use fixed memory for Exchange, SQL (dynamic with conditions available for later version), and Great Plains. Will there be an RDS server in the mix? You can use Dynamic Memory with RDS but make sure its start-up RAM size is enough for the VM to start smoothly.

  • Looking for a specific list of modules included in Oracle Vision demo

    Hi All,
I am trying to find out which EBS modules are included when you install Oracle Vision demo db. My client no longer has the Vision db installed and before I reinstall it, I'd like to know what I will get. For example, is GRC included and what is the lastest ver/rel that I should install to get the latest?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks in advance for your help.I do not think you will find the list of modules documented. However IINM, vision demo database is similar to any fresh EBS installation except for more installed modules and data, so if you refer to any fresh installed EBS instance you should get the list of modules.

  • What are the optimal hardware specification requirements for Adobe Photoshop CS6?

Greetings to the staff and users of this forum,
As the title clearly stipulates, the question is "What are the optimal hardware specification requirements for Adobe Photoshop CS6?".
Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with the specs specified on the website, as I believe they are far lesser than the specs needed to run the program at its full potential. This belief comes from my experience with the product Adobe Photoshop CS2 that I currently run on my computer. In effect, Ps CS2 cannot fully run without inducing time lags on my computer (i.e. when using 500 pix diameter smudge tool/ using liquify gallery), even though my specs are already higher than those specified for CS6 (mine are: Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 1.86 GHz, 3 GB RAM). I can assure you that I get those time lags even when almost in safe mode (only system main processes running) and that my computer is clean from any process/virus that could lower its performances.
I've been through two chat rooms and four telephone operators to always get the same answer: the specs on the website.
If any user here could provide me with proper higher specs, I would really be grateful.
    Thanks,
    phdwengr

  • NI 9871 module detailed hardware specifications

       hi,
i want to learn the details on NI9871 module box specifications.. i search but manuals just give me pin connections, bus topology, etc ..
how can i learn the positions of RJ50 x 4 sockets window, power connector window and 15-pin DSUB window, on the module box.
      best regards..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi davut,
what "windows" are you talking about?
Do you need CAD drawings to specify actual positions of the connector plugs?
Well, the front side is ~10cm high and holds those 4 RJ45 plugs as well as the power plug. You need wires anyway to electrically connect to the module, so it shouldn't be a problem if the plug is some millimeters away from an ideal position...
If you really care about that: call NI and ask for a CAD schematic. Or ask for a module for testing purposes, most often they have some in store...

  • Hardware Requirements for Production Instance of  EBS R12 version (12.1.1)

    Hi All,
Can you please let me know, what is the Hardware Requirements ( like CPU's, RAM size and HDD size)for Production Instance of EBS R12 version (12.1.1) about 3000 users.
The production instance would be deployed on a Multi-Node architecture where in the Database and Concurrent Managers would be deployed in one box.
Forms & Web server (Application tier) would be deployed on a different box. It is proposed to have a minimum of two front-end servers with a hardware based load balancer for traffic management.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

My company have EBS R12.1.2 on LINUX system. We used HR, Finance, DW, ODI, Single sign on, Hyperion and peoplesoft.
we use two DELL R910 servers for production. one for EBS and ODI, another server for Peoplesoft, Hyperion, DW, ....
Our record indicate highest concurrent users are 1120 on EBS server. For EBS server I will suggest at least following configuration for more tan 1000 users:
    1. DELL R910 with 4 sockets in it. each sock may have 2 to 4 cores. Even this configuration sometime we still get server complain 90% CPU load warning.
    2. Min 64 GB RAM . 128 GB or 256 GB prefer.
    3. Redhat X86_64 version Linux . Prefer version 5.7 and up.
    4. PERC 6/E or H800 RAID card and connect to MD1000 or MD1120.
    5. One MD1000/1120 for database, and two for backup (1TB X 15 disks). Depend on how many days backup keep on RAID. Our EBS database data in one year grow from 60 GB to 350 Gb.
    6. dedicate tape backup library and server. Due to large amount of data.
    7. need Grid control (OEM) server to monitor all databases and application servers.
    8. for application server, you need at least two DELL R910 and run Microsoft Hyper-V in it better performance than VMware. Configure All EBS relate application servers on each R910 for redundant and load balance. I f you plan is 3000 users. You may need 4 DELL R910 servers. Anyway it can add later.
    9. same hardware configuration may need for staging/test application servers.
    10. If you want RAC or standby databses, you need more.
    11. For development staging/test database server, you may need similar configuration. We have four servers for that purpose.
    13. Don't forget ORACLE license you need purchase for database, application server and ....
    13. EBS solution is NOT cheaper. If you can do other way, think it first. NOT only hardware, man power also very expensive.

I have a SCXI-1303 module where the CJC reading went bad and after some troubleshooting, I determined it was the CJC circuit.  The thermistor is reading about 2ohms at room temperature and the manual says it should be approx. 5Kohms.

The specifications for the SCXI-1303 are shown on page 11 of the SCXI-1303 32-Channel Isothermal Terminal Block Installation Guide and Specifications. However, I believe in order to verify that the temperature sensor is still within specifications, we should perform a proper calibration. I recommend following the steps outlined in the SCXI-1303 Terminal Block Calibration Procedure. It is possible that the sensor may have fallen out of calibration and if this is the case, I recommend you send in the unit for repair.
    I hope this helps,
